Is really MGA the boogeyman of casinos?

After years of gambling along the way I stumbled across many issues with many online casinos. Some were professional enough to resolve the issue fast but some of them being unresponsive, actions needed to be done. I remember many conversations between some folks and me talking about it. Whenever a customer had enough with an issue with the disputed casino, whenever he threw the 3 capitals, casino turned the "we are here for you to fix it now" face. Personally, I have used MGA complaint platform couple of times and had a 100% success. ( Same here at askgamblers)

But my question is this: Is MGA really the boogeyman of online casinos ? Or at least used to be? And if yes then why are they so annoyed by this? And what about other commissions such as UKGC? I would like to here some thoughts on this matter. ☺️

IMHO, the only official regulatory body which is getting close to the 'boogeyman' definition is UKGC. The reason why I claim that is here:

If you try to compare the stats above with the similar sections across MGA or any other major gambling regulatory body you will easily spot the gigantic differences.

I just read the link you sent me. Yeap, thats some cold old ways. Also, for some reason Casumo seems to be the ''guy'' that never gives up, always thriving to make it into the list

True that... And despite my smiley reaction on your post, I'm actually feeling so sad and confused about their 'rally down the drain' which we all had the chance to witness in the last 2 years.:(

Without knowing much about Casumo's ownership or management, i would go with the idea that Casumo changed hands in the recent years?  Or maybe the key roles got swept along with a sudden reconstruction and chaos came.

@kayenne23 hey wanted to ask you The Pogg has replied to back to the investigation and has said "This issue has been taken over by the regulator and this service no longer has any involvement in the management of this case." Would you know what he means by that" I tried asking him but I still haven't got a reply back.

MGA is now investigating and that Pogg as a service has no permission to have any involvement in your case. This is what it looks like.

The Pogg is king billy's ADR. I asked the support chat here at ask gabmblers and they said that the MGA is now taken the investigation further but thought you might know a little bit more about their investigative techniques and if the casino is trying to appeal the poggs decision. Thanks for your input!

Hmm, so you came here, on AskGamblers, to ask about a reply to your complaint sent by thepogg? Weird to say the least...

The Pogg said that it would be a slow process, but seeing how some of you guys are experts in online casinos thought I would ask! Again, your support chat staff directed me to ask these questions in the forum.

Well to be honest I don't like the pogg. The site has just one special trait. It can resolve issues between you and N1 casinos and some other selected casinos. Also keep in mind that it declines complaints that have to do with refunds. This is a pretty tricky one since most of the complaints are declined payments and refunds. 

Personally, I would either make a complaint here or at mga straight away.

Well I started my complaint here and then got it turned down they said I should got to the reg. body. Then I was told to go to The Pogg and I did that. Now I have this statement by The Pogg, 

So I'm just going to wait it out  for a response back from the MGA.

hey  @kayenne23 you were right I got a response back from the pogg telling me:

"The MGA has reviewed this issue and concluded that it exceeds the remit or authority of an ADR to review given that it relates to relates to licensing rather than transactional matters.

You will need to contact the MGA directly to raise your concerns in this case"

I contacted the mga and they said they are looking into the case, but from your experience what do you think will happen since King Billy has the same brand that have two diff licenses, the mga player support directive says that when this is the case the foreign license can't breach the player directives!

That's probably a million dollar question mate...or more realistically, a few thousand dollars question.

The way I see it, your case involves a grey area about cashback calculation formulation. Mathematically, the formulas are legal for the casino...but are they fair to the players? That's the big question but there's no quick answer. If it involves a legal battle, only god knows how long it can be amicably resolved, or not at all.

Perhaps a request for a status update from MGA once a month or two months should be okay and not be annoying to the authorities...but I really don't know mate.

But there is the one other problem that occurred as well. King Billy deleting all of my gaming logs on the website and when I requested for my gaming logs so I could calculate my cashback the first document they sent me was edited. Then when I complained bc I had an original from two weeks before, which they must of forgot I had for another complaint, they sent me another edited version and finally after arguing they sent me the original.

Three diff. edited versions of my gaming/betting logs which is a violation of  The Data Protection Act. Which is BIG deal!! In the eyes of any authority that is committing fraud!!

Well mate, that is indeed one more legal matter to be resolved!

The problem is, we all know how legal matters can drag on and on for long periods of time, although about the logs issue, that is quite obvious. Again, it's probably the grey areas that are holding everything back. Just have to wait and be patient mate, no matter how long it may take them to come to a resolution.
