Casino requesting my bank statement as evidence of missing payment

Recommended Posts

Hi there,

Was just wondering is it normal procedure for a casino to ask for a full bank statement in PDF? They approved 5 x payments to me but I only received 4 x payments. It was a decent figure that they paid and it went ito my bank account via bank withdrawal in the nominated time frame and they have been great with communication etc.. I guess they have all my personal info already anyways so im probably worrying about nothing. The casino is one of the top rated casinos on this site and i havent had any issues with withdrawals previously.. Anyway thank you to anyone that can shed some light for me.. Thanks, have a great day 😊

Not that common, not that uncommon. Presumably they're checking to see if you received the 5th withdrawal. They only really need to see the dates from the withdrawal request, no need for them to see beforehand.

Few years ago i'd something similar and refused to send it - it was only for 100 quid - they stated, unequivocally, that they would not resend money as no return errors etc. Due to the amount i just let it band about for a few weeks and, hey presto, it was sent in Week 3 as the return report suddenly appeared, as if by magic.

Suppose it depends on the amount - if it's a large amount some folk will just bite the bullet and send rather than fight with them etc.

Tip - if you send it and then suddenly you find responsible gambling queries/limits imposed etc then they've not used it for the original purpose and that's one thing, in addition to be illegal, that i would spit the dummy out over.

They do have a lot of personal information, i think too much, but that's no reason to give them more (in general - though sadly the UKGC seem to think otherwise from recent emails i've seen) - some people seem so blase in sending casino's, particularly those based abroad, information - seen and heard folk sending them tax returns/3 months full bank statements and reasons for 20 quid bank transfers to these places - personally, i think it's madness but each to their own.
