There were recent fines dished out to the Gamsey's group, only in the last few weeks, that give you an insight into the UKGC's position. Most of the them seem to come down to A. Casino had no risk assessment policy or B. They had one, they just didn't adhere to it in terms of monitoring accounts. The UKGC, IMO, need to be vetting these policies - given their pathological obsession with RG atm. This should mean that, upon the policy being green lit by them, all casinos must do is follow it and it should absolve them of their RG responsibilities. Whether the person is a problem gambler, or gambling addict as we used to say, then becomes irrelevant. Or, what will happen, is that casinos eliminate the risk by simply closing the accounts of those whom they have the faintest whiff of RG issues. Or credit checks start. What's odd is that RG never really flags up when it's casino streamers are lumping 100 quid bets on, whilst seemingly living in their grandma's basement (could it be that it's casino money they're playing with? Surely not) Or, reversing is still permitted. We're at a watershed with gambling in the UK - there is obviously an agenda afoot in some of the more liberal parties and there is a risk that most punters (who aren't GA) are subjected to a draconian regime. And that's only gonna result in more pain for problem gamblers - they'll be off to a non- licensed regime, whereby they'll have zero protection.

Hola, This is actually a bit tricky and tbh I'm constantly changing my mind around things like this. On the one hand you've the very black and white view: accounts are only SE upon the person asking for this. On the other, and the one that the recent UKGC rulings have came down on, is that the above isn't sufficient in itself: in other words, they should be looking at the less visible indicators: cancelling withdrawals, excessive use of the time out facility etc. You might want to look at the revised LCCP - I'm pretty sure they strengthened wording around the need to be more vigilant when granting VIP status - in layman's terms, they need more monitoring/perform greater checks: that's where they may fall down. There was a recent case that the UKGC highlighted in their decisions (can't remember which one), that failed deposits should have been a factor. In other words....it's not good enough that they didn't SE, you should have identified them as someone who required a bit more of a review. Getting into choppy water when asking casino to be arbiter but hey ho, social contract and all that

Mega slot wins - oh yes, it's possible!
pinnit2015 replied to ValDes's topic in Share your Winner Screenshots
Came onto reply to a PM and thought may as well share a bit of good fortune for a change - shy of 2.5k x. What an odd game - maybe these 20 deposits are the future when i'm back to slotting full time in the future! Mr P Out- 3526 replies

An overdue Sabbatical
pinnit2015 replied to pinnit2015's topic in Trivia, Quiz Games & Non-Gambling Talk
Thanks Mr F - my dad had exactly the same. January, the results came back positive as it had shrunk and hadn't spread. Roll forward two months and it was secondary (as anyone will know, if it's confined to one place you can have many years ahead of you still, but once it's spread then sadly there's not a lot to hope for). Funnily enough he was exactly the same when i last saw a week or so ago - so confused and didn't even recognise me/brother/sister. Shows you show indiscriminate the disease can be and how quickly it moves. He was a proud man and tbh he would not have liked how he was in the last few days, so in many respects it's a blessing. Need to help my mum out - 53 years married (I'm 37 and my dad was a very, very young 74)- so she especially will feel it. Though i did say, as she's not a driver, that i wasn't for running her around like an Uber driver like he did ? I'll need to go and sort my wayward siblings out - nothing that a few slaps round the head won't fix ? -
Due to personal circumstances, in which my dad sadly lost his own battle against an illness, I'm going to be on an online sabbatical for the foreseeable future. I've a lot of stuff to sort out back home and to be honest I won't have the time to spend slotting for while (my lucks been patchy the last 6 months anyhow, so it's really no loss). Plus, i don't think my savings accounts can hack me doing 5 quids on Bonanza, as a distraction ? By the time I'm back i envisage A. DOA2 has, after the initial flurry of 30kx and 40kx wins will have settled down (or Netent will have tweaked the maths after they realise it's too loose) B BTG's Opal Fruits game will be as good as Holy Diver, that is, not very and C. People will still continue to play, and complain they've not been paid, at dodgy casinos. Wow - how surprising. Hopefully, the following will happen: 1. No longer will people play at clip joints, 2. All the dodgy operators will have gone, 3. The UKGC stops reading the Guardian newspaper and lumping all gamblers in with problem gamblers and mistreating the entire demographic due to political pressure and/or ego. 4. Self Exclusion disappears as a gambling hot topic 5. The UKGC re-focusses their energy on the real issues, not playing for the media soundbite, or some big head Charlie looking to see his name in print. 6. Someone takes a Casino to court for implementing unfair terms and conditions, wins, and we see a complete review of them all - oh, how I'm fed up hearing 'it's in our t's and c's: yeah, big deal mate, they're illegal Sadly, maybe only one the above is possible. Anyhow - best of luck slotting and remember - they want you on the game for as long as possible: a seated player is a revenue generating player: they love it. So, win big, get out and go enjoy your money; don't re-feed the beast. Best of luck

Emucasino - great place to play but lately...
pinnit2015 replied to Joe Blow's topic in Casinos General
Casino A:SE, Casino B taken over by Casino A: self exclusion carries over, unable to play at B. Plus, more and more national schemes on it may see further developments in how it evolves. Not an issue of the SE is used how and when it should be, problem gamblers, but if it’s incorrectly used or applied for simple closures then may find yourself banned from your favourites - particularly if more and more brands merge -
Don’t be too sad... only reason you make it onto VIP schemes is either you wager a lot OR you lose a lot ?

Yep: it’s the twice a month cash match up to 250 quid. Cracking deal IMO ? cos it’s cash it’s also no bound by bonus terms etc. Doubt I’ll cash out from DOA2 but u never know...
-
Redbets 100% cash match has come in so will try again on Sunday with 250+250. Least then it’s given it a decent run. Doubt I’ll use the whole balance in it but try for 200 on 18ps. Hope it’s a bit better than yesterday.

Videoslots is just as bad. They process withdrawals back to the most used card: you can reset it apparently, regardless, a stupid system. As for Guts - wouldn’t send them a penny. They’re a shambles. ? Funny again how you’re allowed to deposit and the ‘rules’ don’t apply. Come withdrawal time, as if by magic, the rules are invoked. How quaint. I don’t get this whole card verification thing. If the payment processors ran checks surely, they’d match the card details to the account?
-
I’d hazard a good bit of my money that if you ran DOA against most other slots, over x amount of spins, it would have the biggest x win and probably the most 5k-10kx wins. I remember watching screenshot threads when the first came out and it dominates the 3kx plus wins.
-
Yeah, asked Trada why not QS and they said it was something to do with the game coming through on the Alderney licence .Think BGO is the same. Regardless, it’s a painful affair at the best of times with 10x bonus rounds and worse so if super slow. God help the Swedish with their 3 second between spins
-
My facts are....Played it at 4 places yesterday and all had quickspin/slam stop. ?
-
Cheers man. Thats enough to stop me playing some games there - I asked a while ago as well. It was just too painful playing DOA at that speed.

Assistance Needed: GamStop and Withdrawal Issues
pinnit2015 replied to anonemouse's topic in Ask Gamblers
The other thing with Gamstop is that you may find that many casinos refuse to do business with you, even if you’re off the register/time elapsed. Unfair? Perhaps but, putting my risk hat on, if I have someone who’s been on GS and then wants to play again then, give the big RG issues, I would be debating about whether to offer the services to them. Just a thought. Personally I think SE should be permanent: I think the number of people who have a problem, have 6 months off etc can come back and gamble responsibly from there on, is low. I know one guy who is struggling to get many of his accounts open after its expired. -
Out of curiosity, Trada still not have quickspin enabled for their slots? Yeah, I saw the bonus frequency of 160 odd; I’m about 300 in DOA 1. Grr.
-
Wild lines - not GoTs Wildlings ?
-
Just confirming it’s legitimacy and I’ll send it on... if it is true, and no reason to doubt it, it’s already exceeded BTGs grandiose claims. It was the high noon, wildlings and multipliers. No - wasn’t me: I lost 75% of my cash yesterday on it. Complaining? Not really - if it was on Turn Your Fortune or other Netent rubbish then yes. But you can never speak ill of the Dead (or Alive)
-
The base game will be tighter as well, presumably, to take account of the HV features. See someone hit a 30000x on 18p?

Assistance Needed: GamStop and Withdrawal Issues
pinnit2015 replied to anonemouse's topic in Ask Gamblers
I don’t think Gamstop is the issue here: it’s the fact that you’ll not be able to verify with the casino (the fact that you can play there means the check against the GS database came back negative). The only explanation you can give is that you changed these due to the GS registration. You may get lucky and they may take your ‘I made a mistake’ - but I doubt it. Come May there are new U.K. rules regarding verification - more stringent. As such, I imagine they’re less likely to take a flimsy excuse for the different details. Plus, the large amount. So I’d say, you probably won’t see that money. May get your deposits back but even that’s at a push. As for coming off GS - not a chance. You’re in there to the expiry date. Even then, there’s stories of issues in coming off it. -
Right, enoughs enough for tonight: currently 900 without a bonus and it’s ripped through 150 quid with a blink of the eye. looks like it’s a brutal mistress: if you want a good spanking, here’s the place to go.
-
Oh and ‘Big Win’ is plastered across the screen.... Says a lot when you’re leaving it to try and see a bonus by going to Bonanza ?
-
Never mind 5 scatters, I’d be content with 2 ?

Average bonus round on VS is 350 spins Runs to check help file to see if Netent have offered different RTPs
