  1. The values I'm talking about – a belief in freedom, tolerance of others, accepting personal and social responsibility, respecting and upholding the rule of law – are the things we should try to live by every day. To me they're as British as the Union Flag, as football, as fish and chips But Cameron made a speech about British Values years ago, with the undertone that the British are morally above that of other countries The last 70 years have seen the country really start to plummet down the swanny
  2. Cheers Olle, thanks for the candid reply I know you can’t speak for other casinos but is there much scope to automate (you said your KYC like most places I imagine is manual) the process? I mentioned a few there who Iv never so much as sent a copy of my debit card or passport etc to and just curious if it is because being (for example) from the U.K. they have the ability to run these checks in the back ground? Mentioned on here before that there’s such a massive difference between going though KYC or even SOW between Those places and basically all the rest, I always wonder why there’s such a difference of approaches
  3. Also, still not convinced as to the legality of these, essentially, surcharges? I know folk like Just Eat tried to get round the PSD2 Directive by creating a 'service charge'. Regardless, IMO the fees are a business expense, not a customer cost and lets be honest - the reason the Directive above was issued in recent years because companies got greedy (up until then they could pass on the charge of what it actually cost them, usually 0.6% ish, but some were trying to pass on up to 20% - ergo, making money)
  4. Enhanced due diligence checks are £2000 as well, so many casino's may allow leeway up to that value.
  5. Remember the asking for documents may not be needed - eg. the checks on age and identity can be done in the background (Sky Vegas/Willy Hill etc) - not one of them will ask you because presumably they run their checks in the background. The document request is a bit of a red herring - this is Gamstop and i know what they'd also say: you breached the terms of Gamstop in attempting to login to start with that makes it all null and void. To get more info and to decide where the 'fault' lies you need to do a subject access request to the casino and find out what response they got back from Gamstop. It may not be the casino's fault if GS came back with a negative response. Gamstop is now a mandatory licence condition but i'm still not convinced it's fit for purpose. Just to be clear - in the Gamstop registration you put Finland or in the Casino? You can report any concerns regarding the operation of Gamstop to the UKGC but they'll come away with a boilerplate response of 'thank you for bringing our attention....' - they won't turn and say 'give the guy his refund'
  6. Clear as mud 1. Do you mean Gamstop? - Gamban's just a blocking app. 2. Where did you select 'Finland'? - you said the casino a/c was created before you 'signed' up with Gamban (i presume you mean Gamstop?) - why would Gamstop allow you to select non-UK? 3. What are Finland's laws to do with anything? If you're in the UK they're irrelevant. We're told that casino's only check the register when you try to login - if that's the case I dunno how they're meant to know who's on it to stop promo material - still reckon some casinos periodically check it regardless. Very few, if any, successful cases against getting money back from Gamstop related complaints Sorry, but i've read this 4 times and can't follow it.
  7. Must admit, don't agree with what Olle's saying here: in fact, if you ever went with the attitude 'only verify at withdrawal stage' I'd argue you're breaching the LCCP code about no withdrawal should be delayed to to document requests. Whether it's done in 5 minutes/hours or days is irrelevant. Lot of places here simply wont let you play a first deposit until done so now - quite rightly. Arguments for and against pre and post? Personally, I don't think there's much of an argument for it done post for both the casino and the player - Hey, Mr casino, can you tell me why you allowed someone to deposit 10k who was underaged etc? Not their cash etc? - Oh, we only verify if they're lucky and cash out....hmmm. Fees? Only BGO, Mr Green and the ***** Aspire sites that i know of charge deposit fees - essentially passing the transaction fees onto punters? No thanks - that's for the business to manage.
  8. You want me to admit that Arcanebet Casino does not direct me to EveryMatrix for NetEnt games? Is this correct? Again - the rep here's clarified they're using EM as aggregator - as EM offer for quickspin games and the like. What's your point? 'I' Exposed 'I Won' 'I achieved' Always a common theme with your general attitude.
  9. Why should they reimburse you? On what basis? Self-Exclusion, banning or whatever, works on the basis of licence holders - EM aren't the licence holder You found the Perfect Casino in Videoslots, why you playing elsewhere anyway?? Especially at a Curacao casino? Makes no sense. 19 years ago your BS ended? You're having a laugh - I first came across your arrogant laden posts (and quite frankly, manic) in another forum and it's continued to this day, albeit a little bit more reigned in.
  10. Yeah, whilst i would never give folk like Icke the time of day, you'd be very naive to not hold a position on the theory spectrum. Be in the USA/China, when you have powerful state actors/rich and powerful families in the backgrounds, you just never know. You see it in day to day government actions - how do you control a population? Not by sheer force but by fear. Instil fear and you can bend anyone to your will. Create a bogeyman - be it immigrants or whatnot.
  11. Trying to bonus on Bonanza?
  12. Yeah, I've no particular reason for it other than 'Never cared for it'....the fact that FB have facial recognition surpassing the FBI's should ring alarm bells Maybe i should take more an interest in folk, then again, maybe not
  13. A self serving bureaucrat calling others morally bankrupt? Give it a rest Carolyn. Maybe someone should just whisper...'Curacao' into her ear.
  14. x35 is doable. All depends on the hits early on - get up, bet bigger and the WR just melt away.
  15. https://www.theguardian.com/business/2020/mar/12/record-116m-uk-gambling-fine-meted-out-to-betway Doesn't matter how rich you are, that's got to sting. Mr Green, this and rumours of another big fine for Casumo
  16. I think the odds for the 6 Nations answer that: Scotland 100/1 to win Wales 200/1 to finish bottom.... Old Firm Clash cancelled re the Football as well. To be fair, i think the quality of the football would be enough to sicken you more than Covid.
  17. Surprised he's not blamed it on the cross human-reptiles mating rituals.
  18. Facebook, which no one will find me on, are very selective about their moral crusades. They’ll happily allow nauseous content, giving a platform to, quite frankly, scumbags but yeah, they then seem to get their knickers in a twist over a hobby. Weird. Suppose it depends if they’ve got enough time on their hands after selling your data to the highest bidder.
  19. Think we need another thread about that; not seen one for a week
  20. Oh no Johnny; you’re not going down the route of ‘Hey, I’m excluded, werez ma cash’
  21. Another thing: Under the Conservative austerity measures - a political football, rather than an economic necessity that it's been peddled as in recent years, Local Authorities have been subject to cuts after cuts. Some of it reasonable, most of it being masked over by the old 'just get on with it' spirit. A massive concern is the ability of the LA Social Work services to deal with it - how the vulnerable will be protected as SW front line services are already at breaking point. Home Care? Off. This is where, like floods and unplanned holiday admissions, the cuts are seen in their full light - whilst some grey haired guy *****/gal, with a country house in Hampshire, pontificates about how to shuffle money in departments, there is little or no perception of how this has real impact. Now, you're about to find out. What's annoying about this is that when these things happen, the money suddenly appears - like MAGIC. Go figure.
  22. I think the COBRA meetings are misleading - the name suggests an effective, almost mercenary like, group convening with military style precision. When, in fact, it's like a white, middle class, golf buddy club full of buffoons.
  23. Money talks and they’ll drag it out until the last possible section. I imagine they’ll look at closed doors. I think the ugliness of Brexit was the tipping point for me; some of my Belgian mates give good impressions of it at the time with their mocking of our little island mentality which came out in full swing
  24. I doubt countries lock down tourism, close restaurants and bars and basically fire a ballistic missile at their economy for the sake of hype.
  25. One thing that virus has shown us is that we better pray one doesn't take hold that has a higher mortality rate: cos I'm pretty sure we'd all be doomed. We did some work with various bodies over the years around civil contingencies/business continuity/emergency plans and, in the main, the results were shocking. NOW....same organisations are back in touch suddenly taking an interest in it. Bit late in the day - funny how when the s@@t hits the fan the interest levels pang up. UK wise i find it amusing the the whole Brexit was predicated on taking back control of our borders etc: - Refugee/other, seeking better life - OH NO, that's not on! - Virus? - ach, come on it! No bother: you feeling sick? Nope? Come on in, it's only ethnics we don't want in here! Tory voters disparaged Corbyn for his laissez faire attitude; yet this government has basically skipped the containment stage, such is their ineptitude. All that time doing the paperwork for brexit has obviously taken a toil. But hey it's fine - the Premier League will still go on, after all, it's only money.
