You know what buffed me really hard these last few weeks?... It became crystal clear that the modern world is happily 'investing' tens of billions on a early basis to add some megapixels to your smartphone camera, but when it comes to science and especially medicine researches the common motto is 'Nah, we don't have enough funds at the moment'... It goes for both big business and governments... Shame, shame which now blows back straight in our face. For a good reason of course! And you know what's even worse... Sincerely doubt someone/anyone (modern homo sapiens, business, governments) will draw any sensible and reasonable conclusions.

Bulgaria update: police checkpoints on every major in/our traffic artery in cities, we need to show and leave a filled in declaration containing current and registered address, purpose of the trip (to and from work, getting back home, going to a hospital or visiting relatives who need our help ) on each and every one of these checkpoints along the trip which means 4 of these declarations even for a basic visit to your parents in the near town.. Outrageous! The good news is that 18 days after the first registered Covid-19 case in Bulgaria we are still far away from any peaks with 'only' 242 cases so far. Everyone here believes that's mostly due to the fact that the government applied all these draconian measures almost a week earlier than any other European country. The bad news, our Covid -19 operational committee is expecting the real peak within the next 2-3 weeks which means lockdown will continue for unknown period of time... Sigh! Other than this, trying to limit as much as possible the overwhelming flood of coronavirus TV news, videos, articles, etc cause it's starting to mess around and affect my focus and mental stability. It's one thing to try and stay informed for the sake of your own and your family's safety, but what the medias (all of them!) are doing within these weeks is ludicrous with this 24/7 'irradiation' where repeating same known facts again and again and again and again has obviously replaced completely the citing any new, important and confirmed facts. Anyway, stay home, take care and don't lose your good vibes!

Situation in Bulgaria - whole country is under state of emergency since last Friday, the elderly are instructed by the government to stay at home and quit all unnecessary contacts with outside world, we have full blockade for entire town for the first time in our recent history (Bansko, popul. 10,000, famous ski resort) and we are just a step ahead from full blockade in the next 48 to 72 hours. As you can see, rather drastic, even draconian measures but the results are more than efficient with Bulgaria having only 115 confirmed COVID-19 cases 12 days after registering the first positive test. We are being told by the officials that the burst of the pandemic is inevitable and coming up within the next 10 days tops despite all steps and measures but it is expected to be nowhere close to the tragedy that's happening in Italy. In the name of all fairness, the government, which I truly believed to be totally incompetent and inefficient three years in their 4-years term, is acting with an unprecedented speed and firmness which is totally unusual situation for our geographic latitudes . Almost 80% of the nation supports their efforts which is again unprecedented in our recent history. The only positive news though is that I've never seen our nation so united! We had hundreds of retired doctors and nurses volunteered to get back to work and help in hospitals in the first 72 hours after the first registered positive test! We have thousands of your people volunteering on a regular basis to take care for elders in the big cities (buying food, medicament, etc)! For the first time in my 42 years I can see the majority of my fellow countrymen following and executing strictly all government instructions against COVID-19 spread!
