One I closed the link and couldn't access the link again(or view the signup code if there was one, mentioned this in the past), another I realized it was a new member offer iirc and I was already a player and the other I tried to find out the terms(wager req, what games were eligible etc) after claiming then gave up.

It's because people try to use bonus funds to build a big bonus/superbonus then later on use raw cash to trigger it and attempt to cash it out, makes doing game checks a pain the the butt to check long term play for the player to see if they took advantage etc.

The OP got scammed by one of thousands of casinos popping up the past year or so, they have RTP higher than it should be ingame(so generally every player makes a 'profit') to attempt to scam them later on by charging withdrawal fees/verificaation fees etc until they bleed you for as much money as possible before you give up trying to cashout your big win.
