Fees with fast withdrawals vs. No fee 3-5 days

Good Morning AskGamblers,

 

I was scrolling though this morning with my morning coffee and came to the realization that i have never played in a casino that had a withdrawal fee.

So i was wondering that you guys think? Is it actually worth it/is it more reliable. I am considering about changing casinos so any suggestions welcome.

Hey there, 

That's probably because you never used bank wire for your withdrawals or simply never played in a Rival/RTG casino.

One exception is i play at Mr Green who charge - only cos i like the site - they do the quickest withdrawals of ALL the casinos i've been to.

But to answer your question - you don't get a better service, it's just a casino passing on the cost to the customer. Nothing more, nothing less - certainly for the UK.

In fact in the UK i wonder if these fees are actually illegal because the whole 2.5% on top of what you used it for was binned in shops etc.

BGO charge them for ALL  -rubbish casino, so no loss

Videoslots offer 1 free one a day - 2.50 fee after that (i think this fee is fine as it's an admin charge, Mr Green and the like is more a surcharge which i thought was banned)

LV Bet - one free a week; no longer a member there but that's pretty rough: they also charge a premium rate number for calling CS. But, otherwise, an excellent casino

Oh...and nearly ALL of Aspire Global sites charge - except Trada.

Other than that, its relatively uncommon in the UK to pay.

In addition to what our beloved Mr PinniT explained, there's yet another common scenario when it comes to payment fees and namely, charging on deposits instead on withdrawals. Pretty common practice across Direx N.V. brands, BitStarz and Cleopatra casinos to name a few. 

Bottom line, a sheer number of casino operators would either split with or transfer some/all payment cost to the player. Charging payment fees in exchange of payment speed though is totally unacceptable IMHO.

The two casinos that spring to mind where I have played with fees is BGO Casino and Guts Casino (don't know if they still do now BGO definitely do). In regards to the casino, customer support etc etc absolutely no dfference whatsoever.  Maria Casino was another one I think who used to charge.

Their CS is all mainly outsourced anyhow; people working from their own home with access to the data etc. 
 

Even if they took the fee and reinvested it back into the casino it sure as ***** is not going to go to CS!

Minor caveat I mentioned VS and LV; these are withdrawal fees.

Depo fees are Guts as Coco says and BGO.

RTG casinos never ask any fees for withdrawals or deposits.

The only casinos I know off is some Direx NV casinos charge fees for deposits as well as SkillonNet casinos(ALL of them).

Yeah but CoolCat is another one - I have done many on Springbok casino and a few others Like SlotoCash and Uptown aces, even wire transfer and no fees were charged to me.

I know if you withdraw a small amount less than the recommomendation set and enforced by the casino itself, then fees could be charged. But proper joints like Uptown Aces, SlotoCash, Brango, Springbok does not charge fees whatsoever

Yes, pretty well in aware some RTG/Rival casinos do not charge payment fess, but afraid that's a rare exclusion from the general rule rather than the rule itself.

I see, i didnt know there were thant many. Regardless would you say you have had a better experience when the fees were involved ? As 20-50 Eur is nothing to pay if you can avoid the hasstle of going back and forth with the support with regards to the withdrawal.

Personally, the experience has not been any different other than the fact I'm out of pocket more than I would be at a casino that didn't charge any fees for depositing or withdrawing.

IMHO of course - Paying a fee, does not speed up the process  or  should I say  the time frames stipulated in their t's and c's for withdrawals remain the same. Of course if you paid those fees at Direx NV casinos or the top of range line of casinos, you will get your money in less than 1 hour for e-wallets and around 2 - 3 days for wire transfer. I once made a wire transfer from Unique casino, the money was in my bank account 2 days later.

They key thing is that they can still charge things like booking fees etc but not related to the payment method; as far as I know the average cost is 10p-20p per transaction? Think they can pass that on but given how a lot of these guys’ fees depend on the amount deposited and they’re (AFAIK) charged that 10 to 20p per transaction it’s difficult to see how that’s not a surcharge?

Need to refresh self with the payments directive as been a bit since I worked there

I remember the only reason I got a VISA electron was because Sleazyjet was taking 5 quid OFF my flight price every time i used it
