talbs101
Hi, I have a very bad gambling issue and in April 2018 I registered with GamStop. It locked me out of pretty much all the casinos I use apart from Sky Vegas even though they were registered with Gamstop. I have deposits upwards of £10k since April 2018. Surely this is not right ? Am I entitled to ask for a refund of deposits? What do you think the likelihood is of me getting anything back? Anyone had similar experiences? I haven't moved or changed my identity etc. Thanks
catapultaudio
I don't know, the trouble from my point of view is that you must have made a whole lot of seperate deposits in order to rack up 10k ... the casino can reasonably argue that, had you won and incorrectly been paid out, you certainly would not be about to return the money ... of course, the likelihood is that this mistake would have been spotted at the point of withdrawal, in which case you would probably have had the deposits returned rather than being given the winnings... When you lost your first £1,000, why did you not do anything about this then? What eventually happened for you to write this post, did you empty your entire bank account now? I understand that it's asking a lot to expect a problem gambler to be the one to notify the casino of the problem, but you obviously had realised you had an issue at some stage for you to have registered with GamStop ... it's a shame you waited until you had lost £10,000 before doing something. I'm unsure what the law is regarding this ... have you tried anything with your bank? What method did you use to make the deposits? And have you said anything to the casino yet? Be very careful about you how you approach this, I would get some proper legal advice before saying anything to anyone if you haven't done so already. pinnit2015
Said before, you need to find out what happened as in why SV kept your account open. If your details were the same and they got a negative response back from GS then they’ve done nothing wrong. If the issue is with GS though you’ll find them play the terms and condition card of the fact you broke them by logging in (weird) To be honest I’d just walk away and sort the addiction out rather than go down that route. SV are a good casino IMO but they’re quite entrenched in terms of how they deal with complaints. Bear in mind that the UKGC hasn’t yet made GS a licence condition (though weirdly it appears in the LCCP), it’s not been mandated Fiekie247
nazreimam
Thank you so much that you shared the information. We read so many fraud news on daily basis but only real experiences can make us aware about a particular casino or website.
