Thanks for the video mate...very sad indeed...just goes to prove that illegal casinos are TOTALLY WITHOUT ANY SOUL! 😡

I watched it twice yesterday, was too angry to comment on anything.

"Documents got rejected because they were not clear enough" multiple times what a joke.

Fascinating to get an idea of whats going on in other countries, particularly because I know gambling is looked at so differently over in Australia. Videos like this make you understand a little more about why the United States is holding out for so long though.

It's all fair and good highlighting the ropey casinos but what about the Australian government's role in increasing this? Did no one sit and think 'hey, i wonder where people will go if we ban it, rather than be bothered to build a reputable licensing jurisdiction?' In fact, the Australian govt's approach it it has been shocking, even the sites they set up to scaremonger people from playing was extremely OTT.

You'd have to be pretty naive to think that a government makes something such purely out of an interest to protect folk - if you can't tax it, ban it.

To be honest the video confused me a tad - whilst any story such as the one from the individual is terrible, the undertone is more anti gambling (the heavy use of the presenter of using the word illegal with such glee) than (more deserving) 'look at some of the deplorable casino's who continue to exist'

Best not confuse illegal and immoral though because they're two completely different things.

If you want to protect your citizens then establish a robust regulatory framework, ensuring that only the best quality operators can offer their services and enforce it with venom. If they don't meet the standards, then they're out.

The above aside, a wicked affliction to have.

Australian government just wants to make money from the landbased clubs and pubs and casinos. The owners of these clubs and pubs and casinos have links with the Australian Government politicians and they are the reason why they don't allow Aussies to gamble online at casinos cause if Aussies spent money online at foreign owned casinos then they won't be spending at the landbased pubs and  clubs. They want Aussies to just go to the landbased pubs and clubs/casinos and lose their money on 89% RTP pokies/slots.

Exactly and hence why the throwing around of the term illegal loses a bit of punch.

Whilst, it's from the morally debased Daily Racist, there's the real rub of the green - 'cost country'. Nothing to do with protecting your citizens, just money lost to the Aussie Govt's coffers.

Some rather blanket statements - any casino basically who offers services, players are lucky to see their cash - which, is nonsense.

Well if you allow players to make an account and play, while knowing they are in breach or terms.. Do the math. Why would they even operate in the shadow?  Come on.. Have any conflict interest?
