jwholland
Can someone please stop this trolling by casino's, posting fake reviews.. Spinia for instance.. You dont need to be Sherlock Holmes to see this..
pinnit2015
To be fair, that's one of the most blatant ones I've seen - by the sounds of that review the casino is a strong advocate of philanthropy, with all the caring they do: surprised they have enough time to run a business. You see it on Trust Pilot/Amazon as well came into criticism recently - as long as punters keep their wits about them they won't (if not caught by the site overseeing them) be fooled. jwholland
Well, they clearly had a tech error, copy pasting the exact review. It is worth mentioning that a significant part of there reviews is posted by users with new account, that only preform one action on their timeline: review Spinia, afterwards zero activity. How hard is it to capture this evident fraud Askgamlers? If I submit a review that is to negative, after filing a complaint to a casino, it is rejected?! This is a player driven public review site is it? Or isn't it?
jwholland
Also, is seems that allot of published negative reviews. or complaints, are deleted. This could be at players request, but this clearly indicates a form of compensation from the casino to the player to do this. Not showing deleted reviews, or reason for deleting, result in a clear biased review.
cocopop3011
@ValDes Will take a look and deal with accordingly. Please note your other topic has been deleted.
jwholland
ok thanks, I've attached the screens in here. But you will find them with no effort: short user names with 1 or 2 digits, from Netherlands mainly, accounts with only 1 item as activity: posting review. jwholland
addition: If you check reviews from other casino's of the N1 interactive group, you will find 1 on 1 copy paste reviews, from other brands of the group. e.g. Spina has identical review posts as Bob Casino, by other users.. Not surprisingly with only 1 activity on the account. How obvious can it be.. lol See screen
copyyy
A lot of casinos have been sending emails that if you type a honest reviewsyou will be awarded with some free spins, but people just copy paste other people reviews because they are lazy to do it themselves I guess. I typed some long review for one casino just to see couple days after that people just copied a piece of my review and posted it.
jwholland
Ok that is a problem of course, but these are all 1 on 1 copies, within the N1 group operated casino's, with new accounts that show zero activity afterwards.. Account made: 1 review, copy pasted by new account made, 1 review. Either way, reviews are payed for by casino's, thus biased. As AskGamblers is ( to my believe) a player driven review site, that should result in an unbiased overal review, these actions undermine the very core.. What I suggest is to take appropriate action: investigate accounts involved, and implement measures that prevent this. e.g. I've submitted a review 5 days ago, with some critical notes, that is obviously being checked. Positive reviews are processed in a zip. Also, why not display deleted reviews and complaints? If retracted, or resolved, a reason can be shown/explained. Cleaning up negative comments, by paying players in order to retract, does not result in a balanced casino rating. Finally, why allow players to review a casino multiple times with the exact same rating as first review?
ValDes
Hi @jwholland, Let me address all your concerns regarding AskGamblers Leave-A-Review feature. "Positive reviews processed faster than the negative ones" - Wrong! Player reviews are processed on the first come first served basis. There is a delay in processing recent reviews though as the entire AG Team attended team building even in the Catena Media (parent company) headquarters in Malta for the last 4 days. "AskGamblers is ( to my believe) a player driven review site" - Correct to some extend. Leaving a review is a very important aspect of our operations indeed, but just a small portion of all the services we offer to our customers after all. You, as a regular AGCCS user for example, should be well in aware of that. "Players submitting reviews immediately after joining AG" - Not forbidden by the AG Terms and/or AG Posting Guidelines. Don't really see any valid reason why we shall prevent newly registered players from doing that in the future. "seems that allot of published negative reviews. or complaints, are deleted" - Wrong! Hope you make the difference between "not accepted" and "deleted" as this is exactly what we do with both player reviews and complaints. If a review/complaint is not accepted then submitter is being notified by an email for the exact reason of why their feedback is being rejected. "Not showing deleted reviews, or reason for deleting, result in a clear biased review" - Again misunderstanding the concept of how we handle player reviews and complaints. Now when you know we do not "delete" but "reject" instead hope you realize your suggestion sounds absurd. "Same review posted under different/same casino" - Blatant violation of AG Posting Guidelines and not allowed of course! We are rejecting hundreds of these on a monthly basis but impossible to be 100% sure we didn't miss some slipping under our radar. Please, whenever you spot such obvious violations, report to [email protected] or via Live chat or send me a PM, whatever suits you best and we will take care immediately! In the meantime, will personally review your screenshots and reject any of the reviews found to be in violation of our guidelines. And finally, yes, we are not perfect and never claimed to be, but unlike so many others around claiming to be whatnot for players, AskGamblers is giving you the unique opportunity to make sure your voice is reaching other players via so many different channels such as Review, AGCCS, Forum, etc... ValDes
Most welcome! My answers to your additional questions/feedback as follow: Quote >> I agree that this cannot be forbidden, but the point I'm trying to make: accounts that are created, and on the same dat post a review, and afterwards show zero activity, are worth looking into.. Several might be trolling accounts, especially if a significant number of reviews for e.g. Spinia, are of these 1 time posting kind. Again, not forbidden by the rules, meaning allowed. You should never underestimate the intelligence of our members though, totally convinced 99.99% of them would be able to navigate perfectly fine via the ocean of reviews some brands here have and separate wheat from chaff in a matter of nanoseconds. Quote >> The distinguish between rejected and deleted was and is clear to me. I'm talking about published reviews, or complaints, that are deleted from the site at posting account request afterwards. Agree that this ain't a good practice, especially after seeing your own revelations here. Still, our policies would allow the owner of a review to request its removal and I truly fail to find a single reason why would anyone reject to comply with such a request if it's coming from the content's creator directly and accompanied with the relevant reasons. Pay attention this is only possible with reviews and absolutely forbidden for AGCCS. Once a case is being accepted, processed and published there is NO way anyone could remove it, including the 'incentivized' complainant. Quote >> thank you, I'm also very interested in the origin of the single review accounts, if there is a pattern, common ip, email addresses with similar structuring name ect. Cannot share such info with you or anyone else outside the team of course, but rest assured we are doing all the relevant cross-checks whenever deemed necessary. Sincerely hope all is clear now. cocopop3011, Tweeksta and Fiekie247
jwholland
@ValDes Thxn again for taking time to reply. No system is perfect, and points raised are in the sole benefit of player protection. Some of you might think I'm 'bashing certain operations, but online gaming is an extremely dodgy business I discovered. I just get enraged, when there is strong evidence of malpractice and deception, putting players at risk. Problem is with e.g. MGA or curaçao licensing, is the financial bias in play. Both Malta and Curacao governments/economies are heavily dependent on this, and obviously are not monitoring/enforcing things at the same level that would be required locally in e.g UK, USA,NL ect. In Curacao public office, corruption is the standard, only a few honest people try to hold on.
Tweeksta
wow!! i remember back when i was a fresh gambler here like urself jwholland, i spent my browsing time at askgamblers either looking for free bonuses and other great casino offers or reading helpful/interesting posts in the forum section..... positive browsing from reading your posts, i got the impression that you are looking for loopholes to do some dodgy things urself and so your raising these issues and asking these questions to get correct answers from askgamblers so you can see what dodgey activity you yourself can get away with.
