Slots that take ages to trigger a feature

Recommended Posts

Hi all, hope all good.

So I've decided to try out valkyrie slot by elk in free mode, since always like to test a slot to get a feel before trying out.

Out of the 4x I've tested it today the free spins took

Session 1: 309 spins (24x stake)

Session 2:758 spins (150x stake)

Session 3: no trigger (£1000 free play bust, that's a first)

Session 4: 1788 spins (30x stake)

Is it normal for a slot to go that long without a trigger.

What's longest anyone else been?

Ps keep up the great work guys.

The best person to give the most spins to trigger a Free Spins game would be our Bonanza Master!  :p

Anyway, kindly take note that older games hardly ever go beyond 1500 spins before triggering a feature game...but newer games can go miles and miles farther!

Take my oldie favourite game for example...Supe It Up. I've done at least 700,000 spins on the game at my favourite local online Asian casino, but out of all that spins, only 7 sessions took over 1000 spins to get a Free Spins game. The worst was, and still is, 1345 spins...nothing more!

From what I can see nowadays, newer games can go far beyond 2000 spins...which to me, I simply cannot and will not accept...even though the max possible win may be 10,000x the total bet or more!

It's a ridiculous risk for me to take, one which I cannot afford...but diehard big win hunters wouldn't be bothered with all that...they can afford the losses...like it or not...hehehe.  :p

2000 spins! Yikes!

Longest before this I've ever seen in 2yrs of slots was drive multiplier mayhem by netent 1200 and 1000+ every other slots longest fell in 400-700+ range.

I'm guessing all those spins needed to build a pool for theoretical max wins but I read a review of Ivan and the immortal King by quick spin on bigwinboard which has a max 40,000 bet but even from quick spin own testing 500 billion spins the max win was 10,222 they achieved.

Let me put it this way Kingraj...not everything you see in the paytable, or what the game provider may say about the max possible win...not all can be achieved! Some are put there just for the sake of stating it!

Example? 5 Wilds in Supe It Up game...I have probably done over 1 million spins at various casinos, yet I have never got, or seen, or heard of, anyone getting 5 Wilds in the game! The best possible win is 5 Scatters in the free spins, not 5 Wilds, so that 5 Wilds win is just a statement...probably was even programmed NOT to appear on the reels!

Another example? Safari Heat...same as Supe It Up...never seen or got 5 Wilds...not in the base game...not in the free spins...may not appear at all even. 5 Scatters...yes.

And of course, there are many more examples...but you can get my drift.  :p

Bonanza went 1600 spins without giving me any free spins game...and I have not touch that blardy game ever since!  :p

It same thing with Thunderstruck 1, except i know for sure someone did hit those 5 wilds once.. maybe 3-4 years ago.

ive been playing it on pretty much regular basis for what it feels ... decade now, lol but im yet to get 4 wilds :o

im sure other MG 9 liners are the same, its still possible to hit that jackpot...ish hit, but odds are probably not higher than you winning a megamillions ticket, so might as well start buying those tickets instead, at least that way if you win you win millions :p

Totally agree with you Afi4wins, I was naive when first started slots thinking if do enough spins you'll hit max win eventually but thanks to all info from Askgamblers forum members I've learnt that's not worth chasing.

For me a 150-300x+ is good enough and I stop.

If they tell you that you can get 5 wild desires for example of the paytable, pretty sure the game must be capable of doing so. Otherwise it’s entirely misleading.

Though it doesn’t matter really cos they’ll simply say it can....after 50 billion spins. Or a trillion. Ten trillion.

Said before, 250x to 500x wins are good enough for most. Especially if they come together.

What a great idea for a thread! I've edited the title slightly hope you don't mind.

I'd like to add two games to the list *(for me personally) Gonzo's Quest, super hard for me to ever trigger the feature and Robin Hood!!!! I don't count my spins so can't answer that part of your question but boy oh boy Gonzo is never keen to give me his feature!

Huge fan of TS1 and MG's 9 liners always have been mainly because free spins come so freely and like the x3 multipler. Tally Ho I would say is the hardest to trigger free spins but it's x4 so I'm not surprised.

In all the years I've been playing them I've never hit a 5-wild win.

You can get this info in every game's paytable. If a symbol pays 1500 for getting 5 of them, and you're playing at 0.01 coin value, then it pays 1500x0.01 = $15 per winning line. If your playing bet is $0.20, then it pays 15/0.2 = 75x your bet size.

For simplicity sake, if you bet $1.00 per spin, and you win $150.00, then that win is 150x your bet.

Most players do not bother to look at a game's paytable, so they have no idea what the game can pay...or eat!

Almost all of the recent games would have the top paying regular symbol (not the Wild or the Scatter symbol) at about 20x the total bet amount, or lower, which is very low indeed. Even getting 5 Wild symbols, which is usually the highest paying symbol, would only pay around 20x - 25x the total bet. Anything below this amount is simply rubbish!

Older games would pay 500x the total bet amount for getting 5 Wilds, so compare this to what new games are dishing out nowadays...absolutely dish water! :p

That sounds like a good idea Rakesh, but I doubt newish players would be interested in old games. Even experienced players still go for newer games, either for trying them out, or just wanting to see what's new in the market.

Another way of knowing which of the older games can pay huge wins, just browse through the Mega Wins thread and you can see the various games.

Namely CFTBL as a start... for an oldie.

Our friend Rakesh may be cracking his head what that CFTBL means...or JATB...or other abbreviations...hehehe.

Yeah, Creature From The Black Lagoon (CFTBL) was one of my favourite oldies, until NetEnt restricted them from me...sheesh! Jack And The Beanstalk (JATB) is another favourite, but getting any good wins from the game is like almost impossible nowadays...the free spins would usually pay peanuts.

But of course, my top favourite games are with me forever I guess...Supe It Up (plus Isis if the game is available), Safari Heat and True Love. Dead Or Alive tend to be dead for much too long, so I don't play it that regularly, but still my favourite.

Rakesh, all the above oldie games can pay HUGE wins at the right time and they have excellent paytables too.

? Guilty!

When I do look at the paytable I only ever check how the bonus rounds and free spins work I'm still guilty of never checking the amount of the paying symbols. Doubt I'll change now I'm too stuck in my ways.
