S G Interactive / Big Time Gaming Take Over?

Recommended Posts

Ok this may have been posted here already - But I could not find anything.

Question is this:

Has SG Interactive taken over Big Time Gaming?

I ask as when I now load any BTG game instead of the usual BTG screen I get the S G I screen.

Nope...

Earlier this year SG bought NYX, who were previously the platform for BTG games, hence why we're seeing SG.

Sky Vegas are the only ones AFAIK who didn't use NYX so you'll not see anything different there.

SG are gigantic - just another notch for them (they have Bally/Barcrest/WMS)

BTG won't be selling anytime soon - with an approximate 25% shared of all game play across casinos, making a bonus frequency of 450 spins the norm and their super high variance games, they're creaming it in

If the Devil ever walks the earth he'll be in the T Shirt 'There's no D in Bonanza'

Ok so what you are basically saying is that SG own NYX who in turn own the platform for BTG, so in a roundabout way SG own the bloody lot!!!!!!!!!!!!

I asked as I love playing BTG games, even though we all know how volatile they can be.

But I used to love playing games like Rainbow Riches - When they were Barcrest owned - And forgive me if I am going mad or just being cynical but since SG seemed to take them over the game play & frequency of wins / features seemed to drop dramatically.

I know you may say that is utter rubbish, but as a long time player of these sort of games I genuinely have noticed a difference, both on online gaming sites as well as FOBT terminals, it seems that the only ones that play as they used to are the stand alone types in arcades ( Non multiscreen ).

So if BGT had been taken over by SG I would assume the "Workings" of those games would be "Tweaked"  if you get my drift.

P.S. Love the T Shirt Devil / D comment - Your so right G / O / L yes, but D / +4 / +5 only when the apocalypse comes.

Take my word for it Spintown...it isn't just happening with your favourite games/providers only...it is becoming a norm with all games!

IMHO, AI has been included into the algorithms and the blardy damn thing is affecting all the payouts ever since. I know for sure with my favourite games...they have been eluding my wins except on minimum bets! They'll eat and eat and eat, then pay on the next spin you drop your bet size!

With Bonanza, I hate to think how the game would even perform now!  :p

Think of NYX etc as an intermediary between casino and software (Videoslots and BTG)

Some casinos can host the game directly or via a platform (like NYX). One casino give a run down of why most use differing platforms - mainly costs. It's cheaper to use NYX for example as they do x,y,z for the cost of the fee. Like a broker.

I've heard that BTG's games will be able to be delivered via quickfire in the future as well.

I used to love Raging Rhino when it was just WMS....SG, not so sure :p Tinfoil hat aside, the game is the game - the maths and mechanics of the game belong to the software provider so in theory there's nothing a NYX or any platform can do to change that  Or is there...

I know there's a feeling, as Afi will know, that games play different on different bet sizes.

And to be fair, there's something in that. The RTP is the RTP. HOW you achieve that, is perfectly up to the game. So, it would be perfectly legal (and in line with the testing that games go through), that each different bet size has a different RTP, or a different variance. So if you note a change in play between bet sizes it's possible that the maths/variance is different. Check the help file of the game and see what it says.

As i said before, I've kinda went towards Afi's thinking on RTP - unless it's 92% like RTG, I'm not too fussed. WHat's important is that you understand the variance of a game. Because if you don't, it will ruin your expectations of a slot. People complaining about Raging Rhino and rubbish bonus offerings maybe don't get that it's a HV game - it's what it's meant to be like - all or nothing. Mainly nothing.

I tried Bonanza on the new platform, cold as *****, did about 50 spins and won in about 10 of them.

I still like Bonanza, so Ill give it a proper session this coming weekend and see what happens.

I was the same yesterday  -was about 300 down, no bonus and then back to back (within 10 spins) put me to 500 - jumped ship, battered by DOA and took out what i put in

I remember a guy who was once totally convinced there was some dramatic change between old and new, HTML5 DOA versions... Well, he's not so sure anymore I guess. :D:p

Give it some more time and spins, that's all that any slot game needs before switching between payment cycles and pray you'll be there when that happens! ;)

To be fair I'm still of the option that the variance has been flattened out - you definitely get more bonus's in the new (just more rubbish ones) :p

Bonanza can be so brutal that I don't think you'd even notice any changes  ;)

Funnily enough I was driving between Glasgow and Edinburgh last month and i saw a pattern on a Van on the motorway and it was an SG van - some strange looks from the passenger as i roared 'RHIIINNNNOOOOO' when we passed :p

Hahaha...I can understand when it's between a flash version and a HTML5 version...but when drastic 'differences' become very noticeable on the same game on the same platform and on the same version...there must be something in that!  :p

The other change I noticed are there are more 5 line wins in the new one - which would account for the bonus's being more regular but poorer (as there's more RTP in the base game). More near misses as well....

These are just my informal observations....but the key point is/was: was i confident that the 'new' one could/would pay out like the old...answers yes obviously (we just get there via a different means  :p )

Better go to work - was meant to be in at 8 and it's 9.30 :o

Oh geeees! Hope your boss is a lady...especially if she likes you...like in the case of our lion friend some time ago!

But if you're your own boss...who cares what time you start work anyway!  :D
