A little bit confused - Casino Ratings

Recommended Posts

Well our CasinoRank Score is not based on player reviews - it's a secret ingredient that not even I know how it is all put together. But our ratings are based on certain factors and as just mentioned player reviews are not one of them so that is why you may seen some casinos with lots of bad reviews but have a higher score.

This is more Valdes' area of expertise so I'll let him jump in with a better explanation.

why is that i tread some reviews and 99% of them are not in the favour of the casino, yet i look at the rating and some are 7plus wich to me is a good rating  but the comments say different!

Hi Ben and welcome to Askgamblers.  :hi:

The reason is very simple! When you read any review from a player, look at the number of reviews done by that player - you'd see that most of those good-to-excellent ratings are from players who have hardly made many reviews at all!

That can mean a few things - the player's review is very biased (in favour of the casino), or the rating given is simply a wild one, without giving any relevance to any rating criteria, or simply because some players just love giving lots of 'stars' (they don't understand that a 10-star rating would mean 'perfect', when there's no such thing as a 'perfect' casino!).

On the other hand, some players may have gotten so mad at a casino, for one reason or another, and therefore condemns it with a 1-star rating. This may not reflect the true worth of that casino, simply because even the best casinos would make mistakes!

Hence, no casino can ever be perfect to achieve a 10-star rating, nor to be so worthless as to achieve a 1-star rating!

A 1-star rating is simply a way for a player to express his/her anger at that casino!  :p

thank you ,so the way i read it is the facts are given to someone and then put into a computor, then the pc does the ratings . is that correct? :)

Correct! :)

The Casino Ranking Score is being calculated by a sophisticated formula (a top secret one :p ) which takes into account dozens and dozens of different factors.

Well one one casino asked me to re verify? Sent it in and they came back asking for a selfie.

Iv sent a picture of my dog photoshopped into the top of he Giza pyramid.

No response but I doubt it will pass their checks.

Another one bites the dust.

Slotsmillion asked me once to re-verify - Just send updated address and ID and went through fine.

iGame asked me once to verify by taking a selfie with my ID next to my face and I declined, Felt awkward taking a picture like that and I stopped playing at IGame casino.

Well i've no plans to play there anymore obviously...first time asked for a selfie and tbh I'm not the most photogenic so there's a good chance it would have broke the servers when it arrived  :p

I never take Selfies, let alone voice notes - I have never sent a voice note on Whatsapp in my life. Sounds awkward - Let a lone a selfie.

That reminds me of BonanzaGame casino...one of the documents required is a selfie holding a passport...

I think I'll get a monkey photo somewhere...maybe holding a banana...and submit it in...  :p

I simply hate any casino that requires such selfies as proof of identity...regulations my foot! Such a ridiculous requirement!

New UKGC regulation 3.2.1 Subsection 3,2 as amended by the 5th Amendment:

'Players may be required to submit a toothbrush for DNA analysis to ensure the Robots have not taken over'

'This is a requirement for Responsible Gambling'

I have still yet to be asked to take a selfie with my ID ......

If any casino ever ask you for one...just send them a photo of you and your kids...with a caption 'What? You think I'm not real?'  :D

I’m thinking that chat support just wanted a date with me and didn’t want to be cat fished. Only logical explanation.

We will have to get Neo and Max involved here boy...

My friend experienced this and heard a couple of people also experienced the same thing. I think they only do this if they found any suspicious activities in your account. There are a lot of factors that lead them to do this. Some submit fake IDs, duplicate account creation, bonus abuse & more that are more likely to be solved if identity was established.  :D
