So I was quite surprised when I was greeted with this pop-up the other day which I'm assuming is only for UK players since this casino didn't have the UK license when the new regulations came in.

I'm already a member here registered shortly after they acquired the new license but this pop-up is definitely new and to be honest I find a bit bizarre. Why would you have to register an account before you could even browse? Maybe some of you have seen this before buy it's certainly a first for me, or at least I can remember anyway!!

There are a few casinos that/who not allowed their guests to play their games without signing up. It's like shopping with your eyes closed. Everybody knows melons have different sizes, you don't want to come home with the wrong melons.

Probably one of the 6 I's of e-marketing/commerce - obtain details first  ;)

Having said that...not sure if it's 'due to legislation'. Some sites allow browsing but not the sign up.

I'm just surprised at the UKGC enforcing it...encouraging people to play

Must admit it is a bit weird - so to check out the games i need to pass my personal details over even though i may decide i don't like it/want to play.

Normally i browse before buying.

Only thing i can think is some over zealous new rule about not allowing under 18s to look around. But normally a disclaimer would be sufficient.

Exactly and I'm sure this is something recent they've added because I didn't get it last time I visited the casino!
