Help! Canadian trying to withdrawal from Golden Star Casino

Recommended Posts

I deposited at Golden Star Casino using my CIBC Visa debit card 11 times with no issues, always approved. Now I'm trying to withdrawal and my CIBC Visa debit is declining accepting the cash out. Golden Star Casino suggested Neteller but Canadians can't cash out from there. They suggested I try cashing out using another Visa card, which I have (Scotiabank) but I'll have to deposit more money and then try again, which I'm not feeling to sure that Scotia will accept my cash out to the card.

Question? Have any Canadians had any luck withdrawing from Golden Star Casino?

Update. I tried my Scotiabank Visa debit and the bank rejected it. I asked Golden Star Casino to do a bank wire transfer, they replied that they do not do bank transfers and suggested I try another Visa.

Again, has anyone (Canadian) had any luck cashing out from here? I did open a Neteller account but if i do transfer my winnings of $1,200.00 in there can I get it out?

Another update... so I opened a Neteller account. I was able to deposit from my Visa $18.00 into Neteller because Golden Star said I had to make a depoit first from Neteller before I could make a withdrawal. Once I had that, I went to Golden Star to make the deposit and Neteller declined it, saying...NETELLER blocked geolocation. So, I can't get my money??? How can this Casino say they accept Canadians but you can't cashout!!!!!

Hi mks1977.

I'm afraid I'm not clued up on Canadian withdrawal methods and I would have suggested bank transfer but I see you've already said that's out of the question. And I do believe you're right when it comes to Neteller as we've had previous members here struggling with withdrawing from it.

However, I do know that there members here with more knowledge when it comes to withdrawal methods for your country so I'm sure you'll get some replies soon.

Just quickly as a last resort do they offer cheque?

Well to be fair, isn't it your Visa company that is refusing the withdrawal and not the casino?

Yes, Unfortunately Canadian banks do not let you receive "gambling" wins back onto your CC, which I was aware of. I've played on 25- 30 other casinos and always I've been able to receive my winnings other ways.  I did ask for a bank transfer but Golden Star Casino said " We are sorry to inform you, but, unfortunately, we do not support Bank Transfer". So then I did request a cheque. I haven't heard back yet.

So I got a reply asking me again to try another Visa card. I did. Deposited $15.00 and requested a cash outlay to that card. Crossing my fingers that somehow this will be approved. I've asked twice for a cheque but no reply to that? Still hopeful. And wondering if any other Canadians have withdrawn from this casino?

Keep updated dear. Do they have live chat?

Hello mks1977 and welcome to askgamblers.

Your best bet would be to ask Johnnygotthebone - https://www.askgamblers.com/forum/user/63170-johnnygotthebone/ He is from Canada and wins a lot and withdraw all the time.

He will be best to advise you in my opinion. Not sure about this specific casinos, but I am sure he played at some other bitcoin casinos that is similar to golden star ( like LVbet, 7bit casino etc).

Good luck and all the best

Update: just got an email from Golden Star saying they can make the deposit to Cubits but it will be in Euros. What is Cubits? Bitcoins? I don't know anything about this? Can I even open an account? I've already opened a Neteller account by request from the casino, only to find out that Canadians can't use Neteller. Wouldn't this Casino know this? How are they paying out to Canadians? They can take money but not give it back? I feel robbed! Any Canadian using Cubits??

Hmmm..not sure what cubits is but if it is bitcoin our members here will know and reply.

But why don't you take the issue up with your Visa company and ask why they cant accept the withdrawal since the casino can pay by this, right?

P.s You could just google Cubits (it is bitcoin as I just found out)

Thanks so much for responding cocopop3011. A while back Canadian Visa companies stopped accepting withdrawals from "gambling" sites. I was just hoping that somehow it would work. I found Golden Star on Askgamblers, which I find all my Casino's. One of their withdrawal options is bank transfer, so I felt confident that I would be able to withdraw. I get bank transfers from several other casinos, no issues. But then when I requested that, they told me they do not support bank transfer? And yes, I've been on Google for hours, confused, trying to figure out Cubits and bitcoins! Haha!

And I'm the worst person to ask about bitcoins because I know Zero!!

Did they get back to you about the cheque option then?

Well

I would say take the withdrawal via bitcoin, Find a nice reputable bitcoin wallet or an exchange that will work. Localbitcoins or Paxful is very good. i trust them and be sure to enable 2step authentication.

Well if you withdraw to Bitcoin, let me know the amount you won, maybe Ill buy it from you and send you funds in neteller or ecopayz?

Ok, I may do this. I'm just not up to date on bitcoins and the process. I'll check it out and see what happens. I've already deposited 2 Visas to Golden Star so they could try to withdraw to them, no go. I already opened a Neteller account and deposited money into there, tried to then deposit to Casino, that didn't work. So, now having to open a Bitcoin account make a deposit again, I'm just so tired of it all and not confidant it will work. I think I need to step away from this and take a break. It's been stressful and very time consuming. I thank you for your information, it will definitely help!
