[Edited]: The Phantom Of The Opera Slot - Canceled Or Delayed?

Recommended Posts

It's live in lots of casinos today... Even managed to make a short 300-spin-session... Even tried 2 out of the 3 possible features and must admit although none of it paid well, the potential for huge wins is there and have zero doubts winner screenshots will soon start to appear here and there.

Is it a high-variance game mate? Any idea what's the max possible win like?

And I guess this is exactly, why I could not find it at casinos or why I cannot play the slot, because for the first time in history, a Netent slot is running on the Microgaming platform.

Hmm, what makes you think this is a NetEnt slot running on Microgaming platform?

I Guess it the Microgaming version of the slot.

not the netent slot from July. Just realised.

So this topic is not about the MG slot of it.

You mean there'll be 2 versions of Phantom Of The Opera...from NetEnt and from MG?

If so, then MG has beaten NetEnt to it, hehehe.

I've only just realised that it was NetEnt that we were originally talking about!!! I'd actually be very surprised if NetEnt bring out one now....

I had a quick look at the paytable of this game at Casumo last night, and honestly speaking...I'm NOT impressed!  :(

5 Wilds pay only 10x the total bet amount...the next highest symbol pays 8x...aaargh! If you are lucky enough to get all 5 Wild Reels, then the max win would be 2430x your bet amount...but getting 5 Wild Reels??? Oh geees...  :p

Yeah which is why I got confused when you said it went live. Because I though Netent cancelled it.

Today, I played the game in fun mode...and I'm still NOT impressed!  :p

There can only be 3 Wild Reels, no 5 Wild Reels as I thought at first...so the max win is now even much less!  :p

Anyway, the game reminds me of Avalon II...with a random win (letter on the 5th reel) of up to 20x bet in the base game.

Even when I came to post it I thought it was NetEnt our original conversation so I read back a few of the comments and we discussed MG at some point with Afi so I seen that and thought it must have been MG we were talking. My fault for not reading back to the very start

Would you believe it? Today was the day Phantom's Curse was supposed to come out but I got a notification that it's been delayed again. Classic!
I do see some sites like Unibet and NetBet have it up and I have played the demo on Netbet even though the notification says to not put it up on the site until further notice.

I played the slot today at Casino Euro.

Must admit, was disappointed, base game pay *****, bonus round and free spins pay *****. max free spins win x23 my bet, after 4 features.

Bonus game always win between x10 - 20 my bet on average during 2 bonus game features.

I guess the paytable changed as well.

The game seems to be up, maybe everymatrix notifications were playing a prank ;)

Yeah, feels like nothing special, like a copy of some previous game. Since we've been waiting since September it's obviously a bit of a let down, but I am not entertained by NetEnt games anymore.

Good luck to the rest!

Well, basically, more and more players are getting turned off with NetEnt new games lately - simply because of the games damn low payouts. Needless to say, I am one of them too, but I still play NetEnt games - not the newer games (except for Finn And The Swirly Spin), but the old games, which still have good paytables and good payouts!

Maybe Net Entertainment should now be called No Entertainment, or simply NoEnt...hahaha.

they've become more comfortable as they've become more successful so are simply not as excited in dominating slots. I find Yggdrasil so have better game features, and better features and functions to promote their games, and I was surprised Netent did not come up with something like that yet.

Also, Netent network promotions have lost all creativity, either it's a promo for only the more valuable UK or Scandinavian players, wager this much to get a ticket in the draw....But they can care even less, one of the last NetEnt network promotions was a request for all the participating Casinos to send them their promos on a new game, Netent will pick the winner they like and give them a €10k prize pool.

If they were doing bad, they'd change things, but business is still good for them so why change something that's not broken?

Another duff release from Netent. Couldn't wait for balance to go down near the end as it was like being waterboarded.

Not only are their payouts rubbish but the games are so banal.

True that still doing well but eventually it may hurt them if they continue. Who knows.

Yeah very true

I see BTG releasing Temple quest slot, but will most probably run on MG platform, which means I will not be able to play it.

True...IBM didn't see the future of home computing despite being at the forefront for years. Resting on ones laurels. Cue apple/microsoft taking over and now IBM mainly earn their money from consultancy work and supplying chips.

It is weird that a provider that invented one of the best paying games (when it wants) in DOA in churning out this cr@@

Same charge against MG.
