Games Review Writing Contest - Temporary Suspension

As most of you know by now, the writing contest for game reviews has been suspended from this month (June) onwards...for how long no one knows. Our Guru is not in a position to tell either due to company rules, but that's understandable.

 

I don't know about others, but this suspension is gonna affect me considerably. No game reviews, no additional money for my games, hehehe, but of course, there's still the writing contests for casinos and bonuses...but I don't do as many of them, not like with games, sigh. 

 

I'm really wondering the reasons for this suspension...my curiosity is killing the 'cat' in me...but I do hope it will end soon! 

 

In the meantime, that regular monthly winning screenshots contest makes it all the more important to me now, more than ever, even if it means getting ony $25 extra a month...but heeeey...that's still free money maaaaan! 

 

So guys and gals...are you feeling this pinch too?

Aaaaah...my lion mate here prefers 'variety' rather than sticking to one...hahaha.

Well, what you said may be true mate...despite the fact that 1 screenshot can indeed beat my 30 screenshots...

but if 30 of you all submit 1 screenshot each, then the odds of my winning it again becomes 50-50...and better chances for someone else to win instead...makes sense, right? Hehehe. 

 

So...if 10 of you submit 5 screenshots each...my chances drops to the floor! Hahaha.

Well, as a start, I believe you should edit your forum topic title and make sure it refers to Games Reviews Contest and not about the Write-a-review feature in general, which to my best knowledge is up and running flawlessly.

 

Regarding the reasons behind the contest's temporary suspension... As you have already been explained via PM, we have our own fair share of concerns which we have no intentions to discuss publicly, including with such as loyal and long-standing forum member like you, unfortunately. Hope you and all regular participants would understand and respect our decision. 

 

What I could share at this stage though is that we are considering some serious changes into the Games Comments Contest which we have no doubts would make it even more popular than it was before. You will of course be duly informed as soon as that happens.

 

Till then, let me remind you again there are three other running paid contests which all of you are most welcome to try.

Yes, I agree but not everything is meant to stay forever and that's the heartbreaking part of being human. 

Just don't be sad Afi mate, there's a lot opportunity out there. I, also like the writing contest of Askgamblers but maybe I can focus on other threads of writing and also learning more from the other threads for the things that I don't know. 

My point of view for what I observed about the games review writing contest is the low number of participants and this is because of eligibility and the quality, the way the user writes. Just remember this mate, for my entire career of playing, researching and blogging I never saw this kind of writing contest for the other site. Yes, they have like writing contest but it's like points and you don't really enjoy what you're doing. 

Focus more on the brighter side mate.
