sorenjo
Hi all I have had some runs lately, but bonuses and greed have ruined them. For example: The other day I had 500 dollars in my account and I had an active bonus with 3000 dollars left to wager. Another bonus offer rolls in. Deposit 200 dollars and receive 50 free spins for Gonzo's Quest (lowest stake). I figure I will quickly finish the wager withdraw 200 dollars and deposit them again. Of course my account was emptied rather quickly. I did this for 50 free spins at the lowest stake. There is absolutely no logic in this. Then I think to myself: ¨Wow, that was stupid, I will never make that mistake again¨. Next time a bonus offer appears something similar happens. Has anybody had similar experiences and do you have any ideas on how to resist? Logic should be enough, but clearly that's out the window xD Regards
Afi4wins
What I normally do is to calculate what those free spins are worth before I decide to take them up or not. For example, if offer says deposit $20 and get 20 free spins - the free spins are only worth 20 x 0.20 = $4.00! Not worth it at all! In other cases, deposit $10 and get 50 free spins - 50 x 0.20 = $10. A par bargain. I may take, or I may not, but usually I do. Occasionally, I may get an offer like deposit $10 and get 100 free spins (worth $20), which I won't miss taking up! As for deposit bonuses, anything less than 100% I won't take, except at Casumo, which is always at 80% for me, and I do take them up whenever I can, or feel like it. That 80% deposit bonus always comes with either 15 regular free spins or with 3 Super Spins (at $2.50 - $3.00 per spin), so it's always a par or better offer. LeoDubbed
I've been offered a lot from casinos that really have the cheapest bonuses ever. For example : a casino offered me 10 free spins worth of €0,2 each for a deposit of minimum €20. Get 15 free spins on deposit of €30. That's just plain awful and I would never accept something ridicul like that. When I claim a free spins bonus, I always play my deposit money first and request a withdrawal after winning a nice sum and then I play the free spins. On deposit bonus, it depends on games restrictions. If a deposit bonus is not allowing me to play the games I like, then I would not accept the bonus. Also, if it's a d+b wagering above 25x, it's also a no no to me. Casinos know which game to restrict, mostly games with a high RTP, jackpot games. Players are also not permitted to use the double up feature when bonus money is involved. When you're playing with their money, the odd is always in their favor and only luck could beat them. So, if you accept any bonuses, accept that your money is already lost Afi4wins

LeoDubbed
I do the same thing too Leo mate. I know you do, my dear friend cuz you're an experienced gambler Every time we lose, we all try to find a way to get the favor on our side. After winning a huge win, quitting the game is almost a mandatory to us. Selecting free spins mode with the most free spins increases the chance of winning etc. When it comes to bonus money, I rather try to win often than to win big. sorenjo
Thanks for your answers Yes, as I said in the beginning, it's about logic. The rational thing would be not to accept the bonuses, but somehow I do it anyway. My future gambling goal: Don't accept bonus offers, except when the outcome is bigger than the deposit
Fiekie247
Well to resist a bonus, just make a huge deposit. Come'on sorenjo, we know you have that type of budget for huge deposits. Afi4wins
ValDes
After the total change in my common gambling habits from last year, I guess bonuses are now mostly connected with the status of my monthly gambling budget. In short, as long as there's some hefty amount left to play from let's say 200-300 bucks I just don't bother using any bonuses. If not, then any decent deposit match bonus above 50% is welcome regardless the wagering requirements. Fiekie247

Wish you were right saying that, but the reality is a bit different unfortunately. After a fantastic spring last year came a very 'dry' summer, followed by even drier autumn. And when I was thinking it couldn't get any worse came the worst Christmas season I have ever had in terms of gambling, losing over and over again, playing with or without bonuses. Now, well, now it appears dice are changing fate again and seems like I'm finally back on the winning road winning small amounts but on a constant basis lately. Could it be just the beginning of another mega awesome spring-wins-spree?... Sincerely hope so! Afi4wins
MacdoniS
Mate, do you try to play without a bonus deposit? Well if you do, you will learn the advantage of bonuses.
Fiekie247
I cannot remember when last i played with a bonus. I play with straight deposit and tournaments mostly.
Afi4wins
Well, the reality is very simple. really... When cash in hand is plenty...who needs bonuses? When cash in hand is scarce...where are those damn bonuses???...can't play without them!!! ValDes
