Also, please make sure to use the Search option available for the website, we have lots of forum topics in here where differences and nuances between Self Exclusion and Account Closure have been discussed.

Can someone please clarify something with me. If I ask a site to shut down my account forever as I don't like the site, the same as self exclusion. Should I have been excluded from sistere sites even tho it says just this site?? Help??

Hi Chanel88 and welcome to askgamblers

 

If you self excluded from a site and start playing at the sister site, then they will normally hold your winnings and confiscate them. You are not automatically excluded from sister sites.

 

I would suggest you do not close your account or self exclude in future, just leave the account open and continue playing with other sites.

Ok what happend is I played on a site and won some money. They refused winnings because I had closed my account with a sister site.

The thing I'm confused about Is ask a customer advisor for the exact email I sent regarding the self exclusion. My words was can u shut down this account as I don't like this site.

Now I think that's different to asking to be self excluded I just didn't want to be on that peticular site.

Surely the 2 are differect and I should be entitled to my money.

Yes I'm aware of them.

The site I closed the account was bigbrother bingo ( now changed to bingoloft) and the site refusing to pay is wickedjackpots.

I didn't want to exclude I just wanted that account shut down.

 

Did you make it clear to bingoloft that you only wanted to close your account and not self exclude?

Just that name Big Bother Bingo makes me wonder, never heard of it.

 

I would suggest you browse for a nice reputable casino here and start playing with them.

Well if it's the same site I'm thinking of I've played there and deposited there! Many years ago - it's based on the reality TV series Big Brother. Is this the site you mean? I wasn't aware they had changed their name though.

 

But anyway, I'm not entirely surely where you stand with this one. Do you still have a copy of your Sent Email in your mailbox?

Yes that's the site. I wasn't aware of the change of name either.

I don't no whay steps to take to try and dispute this. I do have a copy of the email sent bingo loft actually sent me the copy

So, this is the casino you are trying to withdraw your money from? Wicked Jackpots Casino?

 

If it is then, I personally think you could have a case for a complaint here. If you have a copy of the email that clearly shows you asked for the account to be closed and not to self exclude then you might stand a chance at disputing this. However you really need to include as much evidence and information in the complaint.

Ive since found out that I apparently excluded myself in may 2015 but they took 4 deposits on December the 1st. So because I didn't win they didn't bother to tell me. Yet 1 deposit and I win and they refuse it. Still took my deposit that day even tho they said they wouldn't.

 

I'm trying to find out what other names they go by when it appears on bank statements so thay I can see if any more deposits was made.

Speaking with them yesterday apparently because I said forever it automatically means I'm self excluded. Still not happy with it, dosent say anywhere that forever means self exclusion.

 

I'm afraid then from what I've heard there's not much you can do sorry, I'm guessing your complain wasn't accepted maybe because you did self exclude back whenever it was. I'm not sure I don't deal with complaints.

At best I'd say you may be able to get your deposits back?
