Afi4wins
Does anyone believe or have a belief that dreams can be more than just a dream? Does anyone believe that some sort of message or messages are being delivered to you in your dreams? Well, I cannot say that I'm a true believer, but I've had a few dreams before that eventually became a part of my everyday life, until a subsequent dream came months later to hint to me that it would soon be over. In all those dreams, I played a part in it, sometimes looking at things from a first person's view, at other times, it would be from a third person's view, like I'm watching a movie, but I am in that movie! On most other days, whatever dreams that I may have had in my sleep, would mostly be forgotten upon waking up, with only a hint left in my brain that I had a dream. But when it lingers on upon awakening, then I know that a message had been sent to me. What that message really means would take a considerable amount of thinking on my side. Why am I suddenly talking about all this, in a very strange way, and completely out of context here? Honestly speaking, I really don't know, but I'm just telling you guys that I had another dream last night, which then woke me up from my sleep, and I could remember what the dream was all about. The same way it had happened the few times before this, which eventually proved to be all true! This time around, it is more perplexing for me, because that dream puts me back in time, but the situation seems to be current, and the aftermath would be in the future! Right now, as I'm writing this, my mind is swirling inside of me, trying to assess the dream, and this will go on in my head until my mind could decipher it all. Anyway, I'm just telling it all out here, for anyone who cares to read. I'm sharing this part of me now, because I'm not sure what my future may bring. No, it isn't a bad dream, but I know that I will soon be affected by it. Ah well, hope you guys enjoy reading this out-of-topic bit from my head. Raptordinos
Interesting thread Afi. For me, dreams definitely bring important messages to us, but what I believe is that all those messages are based on information that is already inside our brain, information that has somehow been perceived by our brain through our senses, but it has not been consciously rationalized since processing all that information would saturate our system; after a dream, this information is at our disposal. I have come to compose fragments of some song and solved also some mathematical calculations within some dream, and that is why there are people who advise that when we have these kind of revelations inside a dream, then we should wake up to take notes. I also believe that dreams serve to release repressed feelings such as heartbreaking pains, hatreds and things like that, and this is an important function that prevents us from venting these dark feelings in real life. Maybe my concept about dreams is not so magical, but I recognize the importance of these in our daily lives. Afi4wins

And I do believe that dreams have differing purposes for different people. Musicians and song writers, like John Lennon and Paul McCartney, both had composed songs based on their dreams. For you, you had some mathematical problems resolved somewhat, like you have just said. For me, it was more like precognitive messages to some extent, some true, some unknown, as it seemed to be too far out from reality for me. Those were very strange dreams indeed, which my mind could never decipher till today, yet I have an inkling of some truth in them. Anybody else with dreams that came true, in one way or another? cocopop3011
Did you know Afi that in America they have a place where you can and they teach you to enter your own dreams and fight your demons. It's for people who have extremely bad nightmares, the purpose of it is for the them to control their dreams. It's really fascinating, I had to write an article about it years ago in an old job of mine! Afi4wins and MacdoniS

Afi4wins
Still remember what this topic is all about? It is now about 3 weeks since I had that dream. That I was being put back in time from my current situation. Well, some things have begun to emerge, to my surprise, that rekindles some situations I had in the past. The past is beginning to come back to me now! So, what has been happening, you may ask. Well, 2 of my previous favourite WHG casinos, which got blocked by my ISP 2 years ago, have suddenly allowed access to me again. Total access as before. I have now downloaded and reinstalled the software, ready for resuming play. Omni Casino, my previous Top number 1 favourite Casino, is now accessible again, but only in Instant Play mode. I couldn't download the software. It is still blocked. Nonetheless, I have written in to Omni for permission to resume play at their casino, in Instant Play mode but using VPN proxy, because direct connections have not been reinstated fully. No reply as yet, after 3 days. If Omni finally says "YES"...and I can get back my full bonus privileges...whoopieeee! I'll be going back to my past! What more can be in store for me? I really don't know! But I'm really hoping for the past glorious days to come back to me after a long 2-years break.

Afi4wins
In america? Really? What kind of stuff are they? Well, too bad Sharon couldn't find back that article. I too would love reading on that. I guess it's kind of Hypnotic Regression, but dealing only with bad dreams, nightmares and even sleep walking disorders. I've read some articles about this but there wasn't any mention of where such therapy can be had...or maybe I had missed it. I think they can help you with that. If you don't want to consult I advise to read the book of Sigmund Freud about "Interpretation of Dreams" they're helpful for the person who deals with this kind of problem. Well, some things don't need explanations...if you already know what it's all about...like ghosts for example. Some things just cannot be reasonably explained...but I'd love to know some logical explanations for them...like pyramids. Some things are totally unbelievable...but I'd love to read theories of them...like Parallel Universes, 10 Dimensions and Alien civilizations. cocopop3011

catapultaudio
I just spotted this thread in the 'also tagged with' section and I just had to comment. Ever since I was in my late teens I have had a recurring dream about my childhood home (which my family moved out of when I was 13 as the entire estate was demolished by the council). It's not exactly the same dream every time, it just always features some part of the house and/or garden. The people change and the situations change but the house remains the same. Confusingly, when I first started dreaming about the house I had long left home and rarely thought about my childhood home anymore and I was surprised to find that the dreams would upset me somewhat. Maybe, I thought, the dreams upset me because as a family, we were forced to leave the property, we were given another house in the next town, we were actually paid money to leave and provided with removal vans and a massive decorating grant for the new place etc.. At the time when I started having these dreams, I had just moved out of my parents' house for the first time aged 19 and was possibly a bit homesick. Anyway, I am now in my mid-30's and I still have these dreams from time to time. I tend to think of them as being like dreams which feature a friend or family member who has passed away and 'visits' from time to time. I'm certain there's s a lot of Freudian work at play in my unconscious mind but I've never really done any deep analysis of it. Did you know Afi that in America they have a place where you can and they teach you to enter your own dreams and fight your demons. It's for people who have extremely bad nightmares, the purpose of it is for the them to control their dreams. This phenomenon is called 'lucid dreaming' and I have been able to do this for many years now and dreaming about the house in a lucid state is always a lot of fun. I can usually make myself fly or be able to jump 20ft in the air like I'm resisting gravity. Great fun! I have found though, that when I am under a lot of stress, or a bit depressed, I tend to lose the ability to lucid dream - it's almost as though my mental state has to be pristine for me to be able to enter and manipulate my dreams in that way. Cocopop's comment above also reminded me of A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors, where Freddy's teenage victims are all patients in the asylum and they learn to manipulate one another's dreams. Awesome film!! <3 cocopop3011 and Afi4wins
