blondie
Hi my fellow askgamblers! Usually I don't pay much attention to the way a promotion is being said, all I usually care about is the offer itself. But today I received a promotional email that shocked me. I'm speaking about Frank casino. So they sent me an email that offered 100 free spins on Golden Era slot with a deposit. Nothing weird there. But then I read further: The gift is already on your account! To activate it you have to: Push the button Make a deposit Activate your gift Don't get distracted by whores =) i mean seriously? Don't get distracted by whores? Is it just me or do you think it's inappropriate? cocopop3011 and ValDes
Afi4wins
Hahahaha...that's just some stupid silly remark by the promoter, trying to makes jokes, trying to be jovial, to attract customer's attention. But...at times, saying the wrong thing do get a backlash, and this is one of them. What the argh has whores got to do with the Golden Era game? It's all about movies and movie stars, so that word is definitely out of context. Well, another case of 'speaking without thinking first', hahaha. blondie
Fiekie247
Inappropriate most def!!! But to be honest if i weren't a member of AskGamblers then it would not bother me, i would most probably laugh it off. But because of what we learned here and what we know and especially learning what a casino needs to do or have to impress players we would take offense to that. Also i can imagine you being a girl and the word ***** mentioned makes it even more offensive for you i guess. But i agree with AFI, out of context most def. Wasn't this the casino with the withdrawal limits and complicated withdrawal limits or something we had a discussion with a while back? blondie
I was just confused why would anyone put such name in a promotion. Scandalous?-yes. But funny- I don't think so.
ValDes
Totally agree with all that you said above. We all know how fierce and intense the competition between modern casinos is for each and every player, but this one... Using such words in an official promo and email sent to probably tens of thousands customers is not only unacceptable, but is also raising some reasonable questions about the level of professionalism of the team who's capable to create, accepted and process such an offer. cocopop3011
What the .... Why would they even put this. Not only is it unprofessional it's totally degrading against women! There's only one thing I'd be doing with this email. Edited September 28, 2016 by cocopop3011 typo blondie
blondie
I'm happy to hear that I amnot the only one who feels like that. I also couldn't find any reason why it was written at all, there was no conteext as Golden Era is a classy game. Icymod
Icymod
"Don't be distracted by whores", what an attention grabbing line, will try not to be lol! Started all from the Golden Era! If Frank Casino is a legitimate casino then this probably could be a typo or perhaps a mischievous employee against the casino. Agreed, I go in favor of Afi that we stay away from this casino as we question it's line of work! Words demeaning to women have no place in good casinos, only Pornhub and Tom's can get green passes......sleaziness is high on those two places, pornhub to say the most! I was more surprised that a mouth opening term would appear in a casino offer. Just as I read it, I was about to take the offer, given the opportunity I could not have done so as I would have been going against these fellow members. In light of these events, I was right about this being a typo and in honesty parts of that line "Don't be distracted by hotties" is something I had used in the past. Serbian and Welsh hottie were two examples. I must admit a casino representative such as yourself was quite an appearance in this thread to remedy the issue directly for Blondie, casinos like this are more praised by players if they took time to solve problems and take extra steps to correct mistakes....something you've done very well! Almost as if a celebrity met with a fan to make things right! Ahhhh!!! Now this makes a lot more sense. And the original translation is not offensive at all, in fact it's quite witty, it's a shame it was translated wrong. (sighs) It is as witty as one of the members you know very well! I.....just.....don't know who that is A few words from the snowman's lost forum love might melt him before winter comes! cocopop3011

Mistakes will always happen it's human nature, a rep who is willing to come to the forum and rectify or explain a situation is huge! And for me this is what makes a casino a "casino". Yes, I agree it is inappropriate but all the faux outrage these days everybody anybody says something even slightly risque and then gets completely murdered all over social media... I just find it completely ridiculous. Can't we just have a giggle at somebody elses stupidity once in a while?! Even better that it's just a translation error! I'm totally trying this casino out this weekend out of respect to the rep for coming here and putting things straight, who knows maybe I'll get an early morning chuckle in my inbox from them myself next time they launch a new promo

cocopop3011
I can certainly giggle about it now knowing that it was a translation error, but if it wasn't an error then I still believe the word in question is far to harsh to use in the context it was used.
