Every time you make a connection the spot gets a multiplier and it doubles for every next connection on that spot. 

If you make a winning connection then the win amount of that connection is multiplied to the sum of all the multipliers where you made that connection. 

So if you win 20p and the multipliers say 256, 128, 128, 64, 256 then your winning amount is 0.20 x (256+128+128+64+256).
