What Makes a Good Casino ? Lets Hear Some Theories

Recommended Posts

Greetings Community ,

Just thought i'd start this topic to see what players like to see in a good casino

one where they feel comfortable spending money in on an ongoing basis Ill

advance the first theory this is what I like to see in a casino I know its not a

perfect world but these are my ideal conditions :

A Good Casino Should Have :

1. A Good Website where everything is clear , precise , Updated Zero Second ,

stable (no ****** game errors etc) , and fast loading .

2. A Stable Connection with regards to website (instant play casino's) , and downloadable

clients .

3. Compatibility with all the main browsers (not 100 percent essential but a good idea) .

4. A Large Selection of Casino games e.g Slots , Bingo , Scratch Cards , Video Poker ,

and etc etc (And structured well with a search capability to find things easily) .

5. A Live running Return to Player Percentage for all games displayed in real time with

each game .

6. 24/7 Professional Customer Service : Live Chat , Phone , and Email (With Fast Response Times) .

7 . Good Promotions i.e a good reward system encompassing ongoing monthly reload bonuses ,

Reward Points for Cash/Free Spins , and Good promotions in General Ongoing etc .

8 . The Casino should be located in a reputable jurisdiction .

9 . The Casino should be audited and the Return to Player Percentages be Public Knowledge.

10. The terms and conditions should be clear and precise nothing should be hidden and the flexibility

of the terms should be friendly to the customer for example lets be realistic forbidden games whilst using

a bonus is a bit over the top everything is subject to a random number generator there's no such thing as

a sure bet.

11. There should be no limits with payouts if a Casino can accept no limit to deposits  it should be the same

with withdrawals (within reason I accept that some casino's are structured according their capital base that's

acceptable but in perfect world no limits would be good) .

12 . Withdrawals Should be Fast : E-Wallets Instant , Cards 2-3 Business Days , and Bank Withdrawals 3-5 Business Days

(Emphasis on "Instant") .

13 . There should be no Pending Times Verification should be a live process and the first withdrawal should not take longer

than 5 hours and If pending times exist there should be a manual over ride otherwise is simply a relic of the past and simply

delays withdrawals common knowledge.

14 . There should be open communication with reputable gambling forums in regard to player dispute's and mediation ,

discussion of casino pro's and con's , and etc .

15. In regards to Maximum bet restrictions which I disagree with to begin with as once again everything is a roll of the dice

bonus or no bonus chance of loosing it all regardless : it should be technically impossible to exceed the maximum bet

or play on a restricted game (which again I disagree with for the aforementioned) .

16. Verification should be simplistic , flexible , and fast 1 hour tops if not faster and should not encompass the need for

notarized Material for simple matters when I say simple a million dollar win compared with 10 or 15 grand for example.

In a perfect world yes these would be my requirements .

What a fantastic post you did, Astaroth! :good:

Even Guru is now wondering what else a decent player would wish for a decent casino... :)

Maybe I could add to your demands which I totally agree with just a couple of small, but rather important features such as:

- built-in options to keep your casino activity under total control and I really mean total. Players must be able to set deposit, sessions length, loss and any other kind of limits to their accounts with a single mouse click rather than contacting 1001 different chat hosts and sending a millions emails.

- self-exclusion must be activated from player and player only with a single mouse click. Active self-exclusion agreement must be valid across all brands under the same casino group and any players attempts to create multiple accounts or accounts with the other brands must be detected and seized by the casino back-office system immediately

- players must be able to track down each and any of the spins/bets/rounds they have ever played at the casino. A screenshot from the relevant spin/bet/round must be attached as well.

- players deserve better for their money and a decent casino must offer a weekly/monthly cashback to any player with generated losses above some predefined amount per the stated period. A casino which will never offer a cashback to a decent player is like Rome without the Colosseum, it's good, but seems like something is missing. :)

- and since I know there will be dozens of casino reps reading this forum topic, guys, please, at least once, don't use my snail mail to send me crappy CDs and offers, send me something nice, could be something very small but cool and useful :D:p

That's quite an impressive list you have there Astaroth and with the extras Valdes has added too I can't think of anything else to add!

I'm just wondering have you listed these in order of importance for yourself when looking for a new casino?

What use is the deposit limit in a casino for a player, when you have hundreds of decent casinos where you can make a deposit. The deposit limit option should be available on your payment method, Skrill, Neteller etc. If you have money on your account and decide to gamble it can all disappear very fast. If I had the option to limit my payments from my e-wallet to casinos on $20 per day I would be a rich man by now :D

Err, forgive me if I'm wrong, but isn't it casinos that we discuss here and not e-wallets? :p

Heh, there's such a simple solution then... Just give your girl you Net+ card and you'll never have to worry about spending too much ever again. ;)

Hehe, my girl has a Neteller of her own and I sent money there, because it's the only way I can save some of my winnings. She's a real Jew when it comes to money by the way :D But still the problem occurs when I get a bigger withdrawal or payment for my online work and say I'm only gonna deposit 20 to have fun. Many times a few hours later I have a big fat 0 on my account :D

Hey Coco ,

Definitely Consider them in no particular order although I think a casino's reputation speaks a lot when looking for a new one

that is if I'm ever looking for a new one I have to say I've settled with these ones and for many reasons in particular

Videoslots , Guts , Bitstarz , and the 32 red group  those guys process withdraws instantly Like I'm talking 5 minutes some days max of 30 to Neteller

granted 32 group have the 24 pending be nice if there was a manual flush but these places are where I usually wager money .

And That's how a casino should be people are not interested in pending times and muck around's when it comes to cashing out I mean

their not going to tell you at Caesars Palace "hold a second buddy need to verify some stuff come back in 3 days" and don't get me

wrong there are other great casino's out there but when it comes to looking for a good casino people will seriously consider the Aforementioned

..a lot of high rollers wont actually tell you they will just say "thank you for your time" .

Also with regard to some of the reviews I've seen out there in particular Videoslots Casino :

I think the lower ratings because of small things without going into expanded detail don't cut it for the ratings I mean come on loss of free spin ability

and those other "fly by night" comments isn't really an acid test its more like a hit and run type review they have a very unique reward system and

cashback I've had at least 30+ withdrawals from there and everything runs smooth I even get vip and loyalty guys emailing their customer service

is very good ..dam good actually.
