cocopop3011
I'm not too bothered about the max bet rule myself since I'm a low roller, my bets never exceed the max bet. However this I know is something that effects quite a few of you here. I came across something today at Expekt Casino which I haven't seen before. You'll have to excuse me because this may be normal I've just never needed to take any notice of it - but it seems like an alternative to the max bet rule. Here it is: Players qualifying for a Deposit Match Bonus are not permitted to place individual bets that are higher than £10 (or currency equivalent). If higher bets are placed then only the first £10 of the bet will contribute towards the wagering requirement. Any winnings from the excess element will then need to be additionally wagered through again by a multiple of 40 or 60 (depending on your country of residency). For the avoidance of doubt, if you place a bet of £20 and you win £40, then £10 of your bet will count towards your wagering requirement. But then £20 from your winnings will need to be wagered again at a 40 or 60 times multiple on top of the initial wagering amount set for this bonus. Which for the example above results in an additional wagering requirement of £800 or £1,200. Quite harsh I think considering the amount of wagering you'll be adding on, and this will be for every win where the bet is over £10. Surely it would just be easier to stick to the £10 rule? ValDes
Haha, this is definitely something 'new' on the horizon. Must admit though it's quite an interesting approach used by a casino to deal with max bet rule violation. I bet that most players would prefer dealing with increased wagering in case they breached this rule /intentionally or unintentionally/ rather than having their winnings confiscated. Afi4wins
Frankly speaking, this ruling has its benefits! Where most other casinos would simply cancel out any winnings derived from over-betting, which could be hundreds or even thousands of dollars, euros, etc, a ruling that accepts any winnings from the allowed max bet but penalizing the balance, can still be winnable and withdrawable upon completing its new wagering requirement! This is in fact a second chance to have another go at it...definitely better than not getting it at all! However, individual cases need to be considered though. Imagine, if for example, a $1000 extra win gained from an excess bet, is given a new 40x wagering penalty...meaning an additional $40,000 wagering needs to be done! Oh maaaan...that is huge...but NOT IMPOSSIBLE to achieve! On small amounts...it may even be "no sweat at all maaan!" Know what I mean?! cocopop3011
cocopop3011
I agree it is better than having your winnings confiscated and I guess if your betting £20 a spin going through a hefty wager is much easier and like you said Afi certainly not impossible! However it's certainly something I believe I never have to worry about. I only bet £20 a spin in my dreams! Some of the best dreams I ever have they are Afi4wins
LeoDubbed
I do believe it's a good intention but there will always be players who will complaint this new rules are ridiculous just because they are simply do not read the terms regarding bonuses. Personally I think as long the max bet rules exist I don't think people will stop complaining. Call me harsh but selfishness is just a part of human nature. cocopop3011

You're right there will always be people who don't read the terms, whether its the max bet rule or something else. That I believe is something that will never change!
