1000 spins on Gonzos Quest

Recommended Posts

Look at this ladies and gentlemen.

Number of spins 1000

Bet size: 2 euros

Number of free falls: 1(!) Payed *****.

Highest win: X25

Total result: -827 euros.

Now,  how is this  even possible? I have played in the most dodgy casinos in europe, and in cruise ships and ferries all over, but never experienced anything like this. WTF is going on?

Thank god it  was just in "fun" mode, to see really how bad this slot has become. This is the way Gonzo have been acting the last weeks or even months.  My old fave slot have turned in to a complete joke. The same goes for JATBS where I played almost 4 hours before I got the 3 chests (of course it payed *****). The last half year it seems almost impossible to get a decent winning, Im happy just to get X100, but this has been extremely rare lately, compared how it was half a year ago or so.

Has netentent changed the settings on these games, or what is going on? Of course I expect to loose in the long run, but I expect some entertainment and a cashout now and then. Not just complete boredom and waste of money.

That's NetEnt. Change the casino, change the software. Hopefully your luck will change.

Good evening AceofSpades and welcome to AskGamblers!

I havent play Gonzos Quest for months now but when I did,I wasnt lucky at all while other members shared really nice screenshots here .

I guess, that game just isnt for me.

Once, I deposited just to show my friend how does it looks, and on the sixth spin he had free falls which I never did.

He was lucky I guess.

I cant tell if NetEnt changed settings on this game .

  :hi:

Maybe I'm a coward, but when it comes to Gonzo, I almost never play with higher bets than 1€..And even then I end up loosing!  But I guess it's just a matter of luck. I agree with hajnrih, switch the casino or try other software. :)

First of all, hello and welcome to the AskGamblers Forum. :)

Sorry for your really bad streak with Gonzo, but you should take into account that what you have experienced was just a normal run, typical for a high variance game. You could expect such 'deadly' sessions, but if it happened to come to a good one... man, it could be a day to remember.

This is the new net ent in a nuttshell... They have changed something about their games.. Gonzo, Dead or alive, JATBS are not the same games anymore..

To put it in perspective i have now had over 1000 bonus rounds on Dead or alive and not one single wildline..... Do like i do, quitt playing their awfully unfair games.

The same goes for me too!  <_<

I have dropped Jack and the Beanstalk completely for more than 6 months now...2 or more harps can never come nowadays...

but when 2 start appearing, I'll get an error message..."this game is currently not available"!!! WTF...few times already!

Gonzo was getting awfully bad for me too...I have not touch the game for 2 months now...in deep freeze mode!

Dead or Alive has been dead for me for 6 months now...next to be dropped into my deep freezer!

Other NetEnt games? Only Creature from the Black Lagoon, Subtopia and Jack Hammer are alive...all others in the cold box too.

Nothing like Playtech games I'm telling you...for the zillionth time!

If you're not familiar with Playtech games, then I suggest you play in the fun mode first and try out as many games as you can. Then you choose a few that you like.

My favourite Playtech games may not be anybody else favourite, because each individual has different taste and likes.

My top 3 games are Mr Cashback, Dolphin Reef and Safari Heat. You may like Marvel Superhero games like Spiderman, X-Men, Fantastic 4, Hulk...etc...etc. Too many varieties to list out...so try them one by one Sorenjo. Take your time, don't rush...because you wouldn't know the real potential of the game if you just play it for 1 hour or so.  ;)

Trust me, Gonzo is quite nice compared to the new net ent slot: Pyramide search for immortality. In over 2000 spins i have not even seen a 100x bet win... And had the multiplier above 2x only 3 times. LOL, NetEnt are really taking the piss this days.. What are they thinking? How can they alter their old games and all the new slots behave like this?

How is it alloved? If you search the web you see ALLOT of threads about people that are having statisticly unreal results on various netent games.. And all this started about 6-12 months ago.. Its not a conspiracy theory, something have definitivly changed. And i wonder how are they allowed to alter their games??

Gonzo's Quest left me dry for over a year once lol before it paid 400x bet on a 8 euro wager. NetEnt slots can just be brutal and there simply is nothing you can do about it. Going through the same type of phase except with twinspin.

Call it luck or bad luck, all we can do is decide what we do with our money. There are other options than NetEnt, and other options than gambling in general.

I'm not much into 'conspiracy theories' to be honest. I know it's never just black and white and when so many people start to share almost identical experiences then you start asking questions yourself... Personally, I'm in the middle of a brutal NetEnt period myself, losing 3K in less then 2 months, playing my usual game style and with bets under 1.00 per spin! I would lie if I say I'm not pissed off like ***** recently...

BUT, it is one thing to become suspicious and totally different to prove and/or to find any business logic in such suspicions. Let's just think out loud for a sec... Imagine you are NetEnt CEO or the one who's taking the decisions there... Currently, your company is the undisputed number one when it comes to casino software services, your stock price is climbing, your financial results are more than good, 9 of 10 new online casinos would beg you to use part or all your services and then, all of a sudden, you will decide to cheat/manipulate/rig/etc your software?! Why the ***** you would do that providing the fact that you are already making piles of money on a daily basis?! How stupid you must be to ruin a business worth billions in return of some profits derived from manipulated software worth peanuts?! ...  :fool:

Guys, I hear you, I understand your concerns and I even share most of your observations... But, please, let's be serious and factual when we discuss such serious matters.

By the way, I did my homework and went through the winner screenshots topics for the last couple of months. The drop into NetEnt wins above 100 x bet is obvious, actually it is not even close to what we used to get as a number of NetEnt slots based winning screenshots. A fact, I believe is mostly due to the astonishing amount of new wins expected to be posted by the fellow AskGamblers members I hope! ;)

I don't really know how to comment on the matter really! Let's take Fruit Shop for example (I know you guys don't play this much but hear me out) this is a game I've consistently played since I started gambling. It's also a game which has given me some incredible wins, hence the reason why I keep playing it.

Have I won big from it recently? No. However do I think the game has changed? ***** No! When you win big (IMO) you have high expectations of that game to win big again, and again, and again but as we all know that's simply not the case but it doesn't mean the game has changed. It just means your expectations of the game changed!

Let me flip this with DOA. Yet another game I have played from day one. Have I ever really won big on this game like other members here? No! Yeah some lovely wins but nothing compared to some of the screenshots we see here. Therefore my expectations of this game has never changed! I think the same of it now as I did the first time I played it. Do I ever expect to get my first wild line? NO! No I don't, I'll keep trying for it for as long as I continue gambling, But I never expect to get it because it's just the luck of draw!

That's my take on this topic anyway! Sorry if some of you don't agree it's just my view.

I heard they have altered their buisness modell from renting out the games, to getting royalties from the money the games generate.

Maybe they just have taken the RTG rute and offer 3 different RTP settings.. IDK, but it sure seams that certain casinos are waaaaay tighter than others. And i have done nothing but lose since my last DOA win. Im 100% certain the games are not the same as they used to be

The thing that concerns me the most is that its as you say not just me, but it seams to be everyone. On all forum you can see a dropp in big winning screenshots the past 6 months. Clearly something is a miss.

And also their new game, its capable of 36000x bet win. But the best video/screenshot i have seen is 200x lol, sure its only been out a couple of days but the first day The wishmaster was released i saw several 1000-2000x bet wins, same with Game of thrones slot both very high variance. But i have not seen one 1000x screenshot from this new game, in fact not even a 500x and it makes me wonder...

Please, luckyloser, let's not mistaken software updates with altering RTP stats. These two are totally different things... Each and every software vendor release such software updates occasionally and it is perfectly normal. Could such an update change the TRTP of a game? ***** NO, simply because such change would require a special permission to be granted from the relevant licensing authority. However, could such software update change the payout cycle for a video slot? ***** YES and here's the magic key! Did NetEnt change the payout cycle for its most popular slots? A million dollar question.... :D

I don't think the RTP has been altered and that every type of game will pay as advertised after millions of spins. However, what I always wonder is what if there is such a thing as "controlled" RTP.

With that I mean that the slot in question keeps awarding smaller wins that never really enables the player to be at a point of having a profit while still meeting the RTP.  Let's face it we want to win after all, and most of us don't cash out when we're behind.

The result is that the player hardly ever cashes out and and basically sees his bankroll vanish slowly. This is the feeling I have with most NetEnt games these days. Unless you're betting huge, it's extremely difficult to get ahead in a session.

Sometimes gonzo is crazy with payouts, like absolutely nothing for a long long period. But to make it honest - sometimes this game can pay really a lot. You should understand that this happens. If you do not like it - you better play other games, like starburst for example.

Do you think that there would be a testing company or licensing authority in the world to put its signature under the test/license of a casino provider using such 'controlled' RTP and/or RNG? I don't think so...

Well, that depends on the depth of their testing process. There is no doubt in my mind that the RTP will pay the advertised percentage over the course of millions of spins. If that's the only factor they take into consideration, then the games will get a stamp of approval.

Most of us will never play that many spins on a particular slot to actually get to that number. However, what if there is some playground for a provider to create slots that still reach that RTP but hardly ever put you in the position of having a decent profit.

I know we're meant to lose and that most slots will show a regressive line if they're put in a graph. But most of the new school NetEnt slots seem to be the casino's dream in terms of low risk. Barely do I ever get to the point of having a big profit with these games. You just keep losing and winning a small bit back every time from the beginning of a session until your bankroll is dried up.

While games such as a DOA do have the ability to give you that monster hit to be way ahead and close a session with a huge profit. I think the majority of these new NetEnt games are very casino friendly and we as players, well, if we're only looking for some playtime, then we might as well just play for fun.
