Unibet and their deposit methods!

I honestly don't know whether this whole thing deserves an own topic but if it's not I hope ValDes will put it to the appropriate section, isn't it? ;)

 

It's been a while since Unibet removed Skrill and Neteller options from their available deposit method list and of course I asked them why but they just said it was becasue of money laundering and security purposes.

 

I wanted to know more about this decision and asked them again and again whether it's just temporary or it's a territorial restriction but never got a straight answer just this security response.

 

I'm wondering other gamblers also experienced this unfortunate policy or have a more detailed information about it?

 

Anyway, I liked Unibet a lot but this restriction really makes them almost unusable for me! :(

Hmm, as far as I can see both Skrill and Neteller are 'proudly' stated anywhere across Unibet website. Which comes to suggest it's just some country based restriction I guess. 

 

Unfortunately, Unibet is restricted in Bulgaria and my account there was closed long time and I'm not able to confirm from inside whether these e-wallets are available or not, but hope some other members with active accounts there could do that for you.

I'm just thinking if it's only territorial thing, maybe it's because of they let us to

withdraw money via different method than the deposit was made?

 

I know some players used Unibet to deposit via Skrill then withdraw to own bank

accounts avoiding any Skrill fees and currency exchange. 

 

If that's the reason I still can't understand why e-wallets are denied I think they should

find another way to regulate it.

Since I first saw this topic I wanted to participate but somehow didnt manged until now but it is ok.

 

I just checked my Unibet account and deposit trough neteller is available which is great.Andthe min.deposit is 15 euros.

 

Welcome bonus is nice but I wish to see more free spins promos.

I can tell you that it is a territorial restriction!I was able to use Skrill to deposit at Unibet long time ago but last year, they sent me an e-mail to announce me that the Skrill method will no longer be available for Romania!

I've played there using my bank account :) But I do agree, if there's a country restriction, you just have to accept it. For example, I made a deposit at Lucky Spins casino to cashout my winnings. I was able to deposit via Neteller (but I didn't) but for withdrawal I could only use pay2card and wire transfer.  So when possible I use my Visa card which is almost always possible. But it sucks when you want to use ewallet for a special promo and you can't.

Yes, I also own a Visa card and don't mind if I have to use it (and when anno opened a bank account exclusively for gambling purposes I rejected the MasterCard offer to be able to withdraw money via credit card if I need to) but I just liked and preferred the mobility and flexibility of e-wallet transactions what Unibet what provided for me.

 

Personally, I also prefer the multi-services companies where I get the complete package and besides sports betting I can access to casino games too and Unibet was/is one of my favourite to do it.

 

Probably, I was a little bit harsh when saying about Unibet 'almost unusable' because now when I see the glass is still half full of water, I know I'm going to play there further but I'm just sick of it all unexpected limitations and restrictions what I experienced lately.

OK, I have just finished the chat conversation with one of their representatives and even though I couldn't receive an answer for the question of 'why' but he could confirm that e-wallets deposit/withdrawal possibilites are removed due to company decision based on territorial policy and no one from Hungary (and I guess from other restricted country like Romania) can use them any longer.

 

I asked whether it's a final decision or not and he said it's valid for indefinite time so there's a possibility that e-wallets options are going to be re-established in the future.

 

This time at least I got more detailed answers that cleared up some things and the guy I chatted with was really polite and helpful. :good:

But how's that? Their manager told me there should not be any restrictions, not even for countries  :huh: I'll check again what's going on..

 

Not the first time when casino managers are providing inaccurate information though... ;) 

 

When it comes to such specific restrictions I trust more to the feedback provided from our members then casino reps themselves to be honest.

I also asked the lady on the live support why there are country restrictions for e / wallet and she answered that it was business decision and cant be  discussed.

Skrill withdraw and deposit: CZ, AU, Romania, Portugal.

 

I am afraid I don’t have the exact list, as it keeps changing all the time. And they are planning to re-introduce Neteller and Skrill in Romania.

May I ask the source of this info is from a representative or someone from the upper management?

 

Anyway, it's very interesting especially the 'changing all the time' part. Of course the main company is monitoring all the circumstances, interests and needs but I never thought this can be so labile.

This info came from an affiliate manager, if it means something to you :)

It is very important to keep yourself informed..

 

Now its obvious that we know more than affiliate manager and they can remove country restrictions for neteller.

 

Bosnia has no country restrictions on neteller.and I am happy with that.

I just asked this because if a member of customer service team takes responsibility for example for Western European countries, well, I don't expect her/him to know what's the specific condition in other regions but in my opinion someone from the top management should aware and have overview knowledge about all such kind of strategic decisions of company.
