cocopop3011 Posted November 26 Posted November 26 I’ve just read just Videoslots have been hit with a huge £650,000 fine and a formal warning over safer gambling failures! The Gambling Commission (UKGC) investigation found what the regulator described as significant anti-money laundering (AML) and social responsibility failings. The investigation found that they failed to identify harmful or high-risk customer behaviour. Specific player failures were mentioned, including a customer who lost £5,000 in a month despite a nominal £3,000 internal limit, another lost £5,000 in less than 24 hours, and a third lost £7,500 over 18 days. And another player who lost £6,550 over three active days across a two-month period, despite what it described as clear indications of potential gambling harm. Videoslots have taken steps to address the shortcomings identified but what do we all feel about this? Has the Videoslots that we all know and loved in the past gone forever? Emiliana Rostowicz Posted yesterday at 06:47 AM Posted yesterday at 06:47 AM Sad to see, but not entirely surprising. Videoslots used to set the standard, now these safer gambling failures... UKGC has to hit hard to make others step up. Hope this wakes them up and they get back to their best. Quote
Fiekie247 Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Nothing new about VS suprises me anymore. They been fined twice before. I remember in 2023 Videoslots was fined for 2Million pounds for regulatory issues, followed by 32Red - 7.1M and William Hill - 19.2M pounds respectively for failing SR and AML. I honestly thought VS left the UK market due to heavy taxes that was imposed. Quote
