ValDes
Hey folks. As some of you probably remember, I mentioned on a few occasions so far that I'm maintaining a book of records concerning my online gambling in the last couple of years. A book which I call my gambling diary... This year I made a few changes in the way I gather and record my information and thanks God I did it as it is now quite easily to review the whole year in just a couple of minutes and see what happened. Before sharing my numbers, I would like to clarify a few rules I'm using when it comes to my gambling. First of all, at the beginning of the year I try to determine some predefined amount which I could use on a monthly basis and which I must stick to and do not exceed! And so, my monthly gambling budget was $120, which means that the total amount of money I could lose for 2014 was $1500. Unfortunately, November was a bad month and for the first time this year I afford to brake my own rules and used the funds, meant for depositing in December in the same month. No need to explain that I lost them and that's why I mentioned in another thread that I'm done with gambling for this year... The numbers: Total numbers of deposits - 98 Total number of withdrawals - 38 Total amount deposited throughout the year - $10100 Total amount withdrawn throughout the year - $8600 Total amount lost throughout the year - $1500 Largest deposit made at a time- $330 Largest withdrawal made a time - $900 Average amount of deposits made - $103 Average amount of withdrawals made - $226 Total number of casinos where deposits have been made - 7 (the smallest ever number since I'm gambling online, 78% of all deposits made throughout the year went to only one casino btw) Games played - mostly Microgaming, NetEnt and Thunderkick .... Conclusions: 1. Sticking to a predefined budget was the best way for me to prevent from heavy losses. Must admit it is working perfectly so far! 2. At a certain period of time I was almost $2500 ahead, but was chasing larger profit. The final result is obvious already. The inference is that if I had set a target amount of winnings (a double of the set amount of losses for example) I could have been a happy punter right now. 3. I lost my gambling out of control ONLY ONCE and it lasted just for some 60 minutes. The result - $980 gone with the speed of the sound! 4. I had some insane misses during 2014. I had twice a 4-reel Wild Desire in Immortal Romance (once at 0.30 and 0.60 bet per spin) and just one missing wild in reel 1 to create not one but two wild lines during the feature at DOA while playing 1.80 per spin! 5. Despite all ups and downs, I am happy right now. Because I managed to stick to my own rules (on the whole ) for the first time since I'm gambling online and that's a huge success for each and every punter! 6. As one of the fellow members here used to say (SlotoHolic, we missed you mate! ) "Everything in gambling is a matter of self control!". We just have to find it! bigdk88, Th3 Runn3R, Afi4wins and 1 other

Great work Valdes ,although i have no idea ,how much i have deposited so far,but i think its easy ,to open my Neteller and Skrill, because i was using it also from the begining of the 2014 . But still dont understand or didnt get it right, you are saying that the monthly budget of yours for gambling is 120 $ ,which for me is hard to believe I thought your monthly budget was around 500$ -700$ ,sont know why

Actually, with deposits and withdrawals going back and forth I cannot say how much I spent during a particular month, but what I know for sure that there were only $120 from the family budget going to my gambling budget on a monthly basis and that is it! helenakp

ValDes
Well, to be completely honest, I wouldn't mind if my initial monthly budget is $500-600, but the the truth is that I cannot afford it. Family above all! helenakp

hajnrih
Before my two withdrawals in Mr.greeen from 500 and 300 euros I was on 0 so they are the plus for this year and still waiting on 2 more withdrawals for a total of 200 euros more. Who know maybe it will be over a 1000 in plus Afi4wins

Th3 Runn3R
Holy snap! Immortal Romance paid more than 1500x bet! Well done! never knew this game could pay that big The highest winning I ever won was 120 euro with 0,60 bet. Imagine how much I was hoping to see the 5th drop of blood...And yet it never came... It would have been a 30 x 243=7290 win, which is exactly 12150 x bet! Next time maybe... Th3 Runn3R

Afi4wins
Ooooh-boy! To transfer my records into a simple summary would need a book-keeper! Hahahaha. Anyway, I made a quick check of my records, but only for April - November 2014 That's because I started using my darling Lady in Red in April, so my earlier records had been summarised in one lump sum amount. So...here's my summary...be prepared...be very prepared...for the unthinkable!!! Hahahaha. Total number of deposits : Would need a book-keeper to trace all the transactions! Total number of withdrawals April - November 2014 : 145 (averaging 20 withdrawals per month) Total amount of withdrawals April - November 2014 : $42,888 Total amount of withdrawals January - November 2014 : $49,519 Total amount of deposits : roughly about $3,000 less than total amount of withdrawals Total amount lost January - November 2014 : $0 (yep, not a single dollar of my own money! ) Wooohoooooo! ValDes
Hehe, so glad to see a fellow askgambler being actually in profit in 2014! Seems like the insane DOA hit made the positive difference though! By the way, some two-three years ago I used to have almost the same yearly stats as yours - around 40000 in deposits and 37-45000 in withdrawals. But since I became part of the AskGamblers team I just don't have enough time to play as I did it before and of course, 2013 and especially 2014 are way modest than 2009 for example. Maybe that was a change for the better. Congratulations one more time and thank you for sharing your awesome results with us!
