Casino UK - another victim of UK licensing

Hello!

Another nice casino we have to say goodbye to!

Casino UK is closing, due to new law regulations in the UK and their licences.

Also, it's sister casinos 777 Dragon, Golden Riviera, Maple Casino, River Nile, Casino Mate and Crazy Vegas Casino - also aren't accepting UK players anymore :(

Why a 'victim', Lu? :o

In my humble opinion, the new gambling legislation applied by the United Kingdom Gambling Commission /UKGC/ is much better when it comes to defending player's rights. After all, I hope you don't expect players taking care too much if the casino is going to pay 100K or 200K for a license to operate. ;)

I stopped playing there a few months ago. I wasn't happy.

I have a question.......

If all these casinos that are accredited and played on. And not rogue or dishonest casinos. Not Able to offer their services in the UK anymore, I am asking why?

Why are they pulling out? Casino mate is a top rated casino? They are not dishonest. They are legit? Why would they pull out?

I didn't expect anything less than your exclusion Johnny :D

Well, that has nothing to do with their reputation.

They probably calculate it is profitable for them to pay big amount for getting the UK licence or not. So, if they decide it's not that profitable and not buy/pay for the licence, they can nothing but sold their UK database to someone who is willing to pay for the licence. Or to shut down, if they were UK focused..

Victim, because they had to close themselves due to new regulations, simply :p

Disagree.

Presenting a pure business decision as a consequence of some gambling legislation matter is not correct. If your logic was right then we would never see so many gambling operators successfully operating within the new rules and license, like 32Red for example. ;)

Now, that's a lot better explanation of what might be the actual reasons behind the business decision, such as seizing operations for example.

However, I didn't read anyone mentioning the following... What if all these casinos decided that it would be impossible for them to meet the UKGC requirements when it comes to player's protection and conflict resolutions? A rhetorical questions though... ;)

I hope I don't sound too harsh when I say I won't be that sad to see any of these guys going. But I'm sure there are probably a lot of UK players that will be sad.

I am indeed sad to hear of Go Wild but at the moment that's the only one that has really affected me.
