Yep, persistence is one of the key factors while playing DOA and probably the most important one when it comes to hitting big in this game.

Yes persitence is key. Also know when to raise your bets and you can win big without even hitting a wildline. 4 wilds on aline early can alsoproduce wins in the 500-1000 x bet range.

 

Doa can hit out of the blue with a huge win but i have also noticed that some times it goes on these streaks giving decent and good bonus rounds every 20-50 spins. When this happens i usually up the bets for a couple of spins and if it continues i stay on the higher bet level. Actually have made some decent cashouts with this strategy.

 

Once i was up 500 it just keept on spitting out bonus rounds and my balance was 545 so i decided im going all crazy and try 10 spins on 4.5 euros. Hit a bonus round and 4 wilds on a line on the very first spin!!!!!!! I almost had a heartattack. But sadly no more wilds and allot of J,Q and K symbols but it paid over 2000 euros.

I have never in all of my slots gambling (physical casino or online) seen a colder game than DOA.

 

I'm shocked this isn't a negative comment only thread.

 

In my last, oh, maybe 60 free spins games (as in, 60 separate "free spins" sessions), I've never won more than $20 - and this betting mostly mid-range stuff, though, admittedly I dropped my bet to 9 cents (for only a short while) and then up to 18 cents per spin. My average bet size is probably 34 or 45 cents.

 

Anyway, I've never once had the 5 extra spins (or whatever that is) for having a wild on each reel. And that pretty much is what I'm playing for. Like I said, I've never won even over $20 in a set of these free spins having spent oodles of cash on this game.

 

I love the whole sticky wilds concept, but seriously, unlike Giant Panda which I win frequently on without too many baren patches (incidentally, Giant Panda is probably my favourite game), I can't/haven't won diddly squat on DOA even after playing many hours in a row on it.

 

Is this normal for this game which seems like it has so much potential?

I truly appreciate your feedback concerning Dead Or Alive, however you didn't mention how many spins made on this game. I'm asking about that since the number of spins is a key factor when speaking about DOA behavior as it is without a doubt a super high variance slot game and as such it usually produce all these giant winnings (which you could see in this thread) once in a while. It is simply not realistic to wait a big win to come from just 1000-2000 spins. Not saying that's impossible to happen, but it is definitely quite unusual. 

 

By the way, I suggest you read this thread right from its beginning. You'll be surprised how man people do hate DOA actually.

 

Personally, I now only like this game, actually I LOVE DOA! After probably half a million spins with this game it is the ONLY NetEnt video slots which I am ahead of.

Honesty, I've left thousands in this game and never kept track of the number of spins. It's been the coldest of any game I've ever played.

 

What I dont understand, is a game like Untamed Giant Panda has a similar sticky wild theme (no extra spins of course) and yet it'll pay out regularly without fail (sometimes streaky and sometimes not). On a .60 or .90 bet I've regularly won in the hundreds (ie. $200+, some $300+). I've never lost much on that one and never gone on endless losing skids either. It seems a much more viable sticky wild game - my reason for bringing it up.

I don't think it's such a good idea to compare DOA with Untamed Giant Panda as these games are totally different in terms of variance. Like I've already said above DOA is ultra high-variance game, while Untamed Giant Panda is mid to high variance. That's why the best you could expect from a feature with Giant Panda is like 1000-1500 x bet while DOA free spins feature could easily produce twice as bigger winning.

 

But let me give you a simple advice. hope you don't mind. Man, if you don't really like and feel this game, you'd better kiss DOA a goodbye and find some other slot. Might sound a bit odd, but I think this weird game could sense our thoughts when we play!

Luckyloser, the way I see it, each and every one of us have differing luck when it comes to gambling!

 

Some are born lucky, some are born losers! A great many more of us are the 'so-so' kind...the 'win some lose some' group of gamblers. We cannot compare ourselves to those few born-lucky gamblers...no way at all! These people just simply win at any game they play...and regularly too!

 

Just have to accept it my friend. Some will win more often on DOA...some will lose more often. No 2 gamblers can have the same luck...on DOA or on any other game.

Your advice is no fun ValDes lol. I at least want to see the 5 wilds across once.

 

I just hit 4 scatters on a .36 bet paying 900 . . . 5 wilds showed up - 3 on reel 5, 1 on reel 4 and 1 on real 2. Total I won 1114 pennies. Pretty shabby stuff.

 

Anyway, would like to get the 5 across.

Yes i also play 100 a day in periods. Always after winning 4-5000 or 10 000 + on this game its like its in take back my money mode accross every casino... How is that possible? It can take 300 x stake without giving anything more than a 10x bet free spin 4 days in a row...

I finally "won" something. 8600 and some on a .54 after putting in almost $150 (after many such deposits [actually $300 earlier in last day and a half]). So my win came to just under $180. I still haven't hit the 5 wilds (one on each reel).

 

I agree with luckyloser. How is it random winning when you have to invest so much for so little? And giant variance? I'm not sure this is the cause when you put so much in. Giant variance in my books would be if it paid out in the thousands.
