cocopop3011 Posted March 25 Posted March 25 Hey guys! I've been thinking today since we get a lot of people coming here with issues surrounding self-exclusion and being able to deposit when they shouldn't, how many of us here are using responsible gambling tools regularly? Do any of you set yourselves deposit/loss/wager/time limits? And if so, which casinos, in your experience, are some of the better ones in terms of handling these RG tools? Or vice versa, are there any casinos that you play in that you think could improve their RG tools features? Damien7780 1 Quote
Blackjax Posted March 25 Posted March 25 I gamble on a strict budget so I dont need to set limits. The moment I cross that limit I disable my Skrill for gambling transactions, if there is money left in my skrill. Bank transfers have a limit for online/pos transactions so I never cross the limit there too. But people should definitely set a limit. Damien7780 and cocopop3011 1 1 Quote

Afi4wins Posted March 25 Posted March 25 @cocopop3011 I only use the RG tool when the casino cannot close my account. I then use the cooling off period tool, set it to the max allowed period, then let the account remain dormant for as long as it takes. I don't use any of the other RG tools either. So instead of using casino RG tools you are effectively just using other tools to help keep you in control. Great job and thanks for sharing. Blackjax 1 Quote

How often do you have instances Afi where the casino refuse to close your account? And what reasons have they given you in the past? I know we have spoken about this before but you know o have a terrible memory Quote

I know we have spoken about this before but you know o have a terrible memory If I'm not mistaken, all Asian casinos do not have the capability (or purposely do not want) to close their customer accounts, for some very odd reasons/s. I'm always told to use the cooling off/self-exclusion tool to deactivate my account, then let it remain dormant for as long as I want. Sheeeesh! There are also some non-Asian casinos that do not want, or are incapable of, closing their customer's accounts, so yet again, I had to do the same 'leave it dormant' routine. Microgaming casinos are some examples. I have several accounts that cannot be closed off and so are lying dormant for many many years by now. Quote
MilaRoy Posted March 27 Posted March 27 I personally dont use RG tools because, with my experience in this niche, I’ve learned to control my gambling and avoid chasing losses. I see casinos purely as work, and if I do play, it’s with a limited budget just for fun. However, if you don’t have such experience, it’s best to set limits right away. And if a casino doesn’t offer RG tools at all, it’s worth considering whether registering there is a good idea Quote
