Random Number Generators = RNG

Sorry, have to expand a little on this, the actual term is "Pseudorandom number generators". Look up the word "Pseudo". It means false or fraudulent! How about that then?

Hi Mark.

To be completely honest, I was expecting a bit more complex and justified reasons from you, regarding the RNG matter, since you are an IT involved person (I'm also in that business by the way) :( What makes me think that if even people like you, with quite decent knowledge of computer science, tend to believe in absolute false and manipulative theories, than it is about time to clear this matter once and for all! :p

I believe that the reason why some people don't trust online casinos is hidden in their ignorance of how a gambling software actually operates and how the casinos rely to make their profits.

You see, if you take a closer look at any casino website, perhaps you will notice an expression, called RTP, which means 'Return To Player'. This RTP actually means how much the casino will win! I will use a simple example to explain it. Let's say the casino has announced their slots RTP is 98%. This means that after a predefined number of spins the slots will return to players exactly 98% of the placed bets in different winning combinations. So, if you place 1 000 000 bets, each worth 1 credit per spin, the slot will return exactly 980 000 credits in wins to you! And that means the casino is winning 20 000 credits in every 1 000 000 spins are made in slots! No one could tell you when these 1 000 000 spins begin or when they end, how many winning combinations are going to be displayed and when, because this is the work of the RNG. The Random Number Generator is supposed to generate as much winning or losing spins/hands as are needed to be achieved the 98% RTP! Of course, the given example is very very basic and actually the whole process is much more complicated, but at the end it all works just as I have described. But how we can be sure that RTP is real? Here's the place for all those licensing organizations and third party watchdog companies, who are obliged to guarantee the fairness of the used RNG and RTP! ;)

I strongly suggest all of you, who have any doubts in online casinos to read my guides and especially this one - Casino licensing, regulation and certification – are they really so important?

Then if you still have questions and doubts, please feel free to ask me again! :p

Hi ValDes. I keep looking forward to your input and comments. :yahoo:

Anyhow, the reason for as you say, ignorance of how a gambling software actually operates, is because that's the way the software makers and casinos like to keep it. Why if games are honest should we the players not be allowed to know the "secrets?"

For example, I am of the belief there is more than one single RNG at work in the scheme. Now if that's the fact, what stops a work-station operator from controlling the switching between RNG's, say the take one, the payout one, ETC., each with their own win/lose RTP ratios?

Just asking.. :good:

Happy newyear and cheers to all, :clapping:

Probably your observations would meet ground in some of the worst rogue operators in the gambling industry. But, when we are talking about the average online casinom, my dear Billy, I am totally convinced your theory is completely wrong! For at least two reasons:

1. You can't get a license, unless you proove the casino backoffice (that includes payment system, support, accounting, marketing, etc) and the casino software meet all the security, randomness and fairness checks!

2. You can't get a certificate, unless you proove the casino backoffice (that includes payment system, support, accounting, marketing, etc) and the casino software meet all the security, randomness and fairness checks!

Now Happy New Year to you too and cheers, of course! :drinks:

Ok, so I thought what with these casinos having  a license and all I would give them (microgaming casinos) one more try. 32Red, Jackpot City and River Belle. Deposited to all 3 and played slots. Got the same losing results and pretty much the exact same combinations at all three and on the same games games. Up to nearly 45 spins before even a small hit, then I would be almost back to my starting credits but never more than that. Kept playing and always went broke about the exactly the smae time and way.

Like I posted before what Jack said. I totaly agree with him and I from expierience believe that the online casinos can and do manipulte their RNG seed at will.

From now on I will only be playing at land based casinos.

And as Jack says: "To people commenting that its not rigged you have got to be kidding me. ... I've had enough of losing, ... never play ...until they have been officially regulated in your country, ..."

Good luck at the online casinos,

b.b.

Well, I'm sorry to hear you feel that way, Billy! :(  Tried my best to explain you what actually the RNG means and how it works in terms of online gambling but you simply deby to listen, mate. :p

Anyway, I think your decision is right - play only in places, which you think worth. BTW, I will be eager to hear more about your future wins and losses in the land based casinos. Keep us updated. ;)
