To be honest, I have never thought of slot tournaments as a possible source of generating any money. And my experience proves that in 100%, because I still expect to win my first ever tournament. :p The more you think of tournies just as a fun, the more you will entertain, and if you accidentally win, then what the heck, is there anything better? :D

If there was some kind of a connection between the player's location and the chance to hit a decent win, I'm afraid, i would never hit anything in slots, mate! My country - Bulgaria, is too small to generate such gigantic chances in my favor, which were needed to hit a Marvel Herp Jackpot, which is 1: x millions spins at least!;) ;)

My point of view is completely different while we are talking about the players location. I think that as bigger the country of the player is and as many players come to the casino from it, the bigger their chances to hit a jackpot are. The jackpot may be random, but don't forget dear Valdes, that the number of playing customers has a significant role in this randomness, because the bigger the number of that group of players is, the bigger is the chance for some of them to hit it. That's pure math, at least I think so.

I didn't think about this question in such a light. And now I see that maybe you are right Knight. Of course, the average statistic chances would be on the side of the biggest group of players coming from one country or another. Another big point for you Darky, looks like you reading very carefully what people are writing, aren't you?! ;)

Update....

Still batting the big "0" at the free tournaments. I think that's an indication of my chances at winning anything at pay slots. Well it will be a long time before I make another deposit.

What I have noticed when I play the free tournaments compared to the real money slots.....

When I make a change in wager amount at the real money slots, there was almost always a brief lag time for communication with the home computer to communicate that change.

With the free tournament slots I can change wager and never a lag time. And it's nearly always the same combinations over, and over. Almost like the win amount combinations are already in the program in my computers download for that game.

Of course if I rebuy, then there's the possibility that....

Cheers,

Hi ValDes, I'll make this one short.

My descriptions may seen astonishing but, perception is 9/10ths. And I percieve...

Just once in a while it would be nice for me to end up with more coins than I start with. It seems a little strange that I continusly get 2 & 3 small win combinations while I watch in the win boxes as a "some" players are going up by the 1000's for every 100's coin wagers, over and over.

Cheers to all. :give_rose:

Update.

I'm still playing the free tournaments. What I see happing is it starts out with some thousands of players and works its way down to a contest between a few players.

Looks to me like what happens is those fewkeep buying "continues". That keeps up until they are in to deep to back out and they have to keep on continuing or lose all the investment they have put into continues.

Eventually those few have invested 999 credits to win a 1000.

ValDes, it's true. At least the ones I've been playing.

Oh sure, thousands of players get their free spins and win a bit but it's nothing compared to the amount of coins in the win box of the players that buy into the continues. Some are doing 100's of continues.

And from what I see it's the same winners of the previous games that are the only ones that are willing to buy the continues with their previous winnings.

I wouldn't even bother buying a continue when you know another player is going to buy 998 more than I would. :o

Cheers,

Ok, your on, as long as you're not a manager. :o

Then let me know when you win, as long as it's before the next 100 years. :D

Question for you ValDes. When starting with 10 thousand coins. How is it possible to have over 5 million coins in the win box and, 450,000 coins still unplayed?

The thing I can figure is time ran out and they couldn't play any longer. Then they keep on buying more of tthe add-ons/continues, which are up to 999 available @ 2.50 each x 900 continues = the 2300 prize, which = a net win of 50 coins.

Microgaming, yes. That's the ones I play the free slot games at. As for being free, yeah sure the first round 10,000 of coins are free, but then after that it's pay for the continues/add-ons. I know it's free but in reality a person does not stand a chance unless you do buy 100's of the continues. :spiteful:

I suppose it's a ploy to get players to pony up some more but the casinos should just make it a pay tournament. It's kind of a slight of words to call it free when there's really "0" chance of winning for free.

Update:

At my last look the two top players (the same winners as the last "free" tournament) are up to 5+million coins in the win box and 2+ million in the coins to play box. I'm at 5000 in my win box (woohoo,,and I'm far from last). Now that millions of win box coins must add up to a lot of buy continues. :help:

Just sayin. :search:

I decided that unless I am a big winner and don't mind re-investing I won't be playing the slot tourneys that offer 999 continues. I'll stick to the one shot with possibly a few re-buys.

Cheers,

b.b. :db:

Hi Valdes, :good:

Now don't get me wrong, I don't feel cheated. And the top prize is pretty decent (2000 coins). And I don't have to play the tournaments.

What I'm saying is how many people would buy into a free tournament where they know they are going to have to buy 100's of continues to even come close to the lowest prize?

I did get fooled once. I and others bought into continues early on in the tournament. I was top place for a bit. Later on nearing the end a few players race up from behind and out bought us all with hundreds of continues and, then went onto the top spots.

That seems to be the routine, :o so just saying watch out for doing any early buys into the continues on the (free) tournaments, unless you're willing use hundreds (up to 999) of continues to chase the the prize.

Oh, yeah, check out JackpotCity, Freeroll - Loaded Game. Current top win box is nearing 6 million coins.

this is why i hate tournaments!!! whoever has the most money can just buy a prize usually. i wish there were more places that did not do rebuys or continues.

Girls, guys! :)

I think we missed the point at this topic from some time. All that I have insisted on was that Microgaming tournaments are not rigged in any way! Not that I like or approve the rules of the aforementioned tournaments! ;)

@billy

Just one question, if you don't mind. Why do you play at these tournies when you have certain doubts in their legitimacy?! :p

That's the exact reason why I use these tournaments only for entertaining! ;)

You have that right ValDes. Entertainment only is good advice.

So after maybe 1000's of tries I'm still batting zero on winning a free slot tournament, or even coming close to win.

I thought I would give the pay tournaments a try though. I pay my entry and start playing and I'm doing alright.

I'm not at the top but not far off. My next spin the reels stop and I get a great win combination.

There it was, I would be in top spot! It's there for about 2 seconds and then bammm, without me spinning it jumps and changes and gives me a losing combo. NICE!

Not rigged hey?  :acute:

First time, I have ever heard of bouncing reels after their initial stop! :o Don't know which casino you are playing with, but if you believe there is something really wrong with it, perhaps you might wish to submit a complaint against it! :(

Menwhile, if you are still interested in playing tournaments, why don't you take a look at this one here - Videoslots.com Casino Races!

Decent casino, cool tourney, still not rigged on top of that! :p:lol:

Hi guru and thanks for the link-

I have had a fair amount of success with the Microgaming tourneys. I have won the small daily ones upon occasion, and last month hit two places on the leader board in the accumulator, with minimum investment in continues. I finished with over $450 after a total investment of about $25 across five different casinos. I have also had small successes with the Power play tourneys from the Fortune lounge group.

I do not like the new set up on the Belle Rock group casinos free rolls. Play time of two minutes, and no rebuys, only continues. Seems like a set up so that only deep pockets can win. I live on a small pension, and cannot buy a dozen continues in order to try to win $50.

But, on the whole, the MGS casino tourneys are great, from my point of view.

Billy, I'm quite curious to know the name of the Microgaming powered casino, where you saw that someone has 5 mil coins!!! :p At this stage, I'm rather sceptical about all this, not to say something else, you know! ;)

I have seen the Same as Billy boy at Go Wild. The consistent winner of their free roll tourneys has often been up around the 500,000 credit mark, and I once took great and perverse delight in pushing him up to having over 550,000 coins credit at the end, when I came in second and he was fourth, for a total win off $2.00. I have left Go Wild, but in other MGS platform casinos I have had some success with free roll tourneys, or low cost tournaments.

As I do not have deep pockets for continues, and many tourneys can virtually be bought if you keep spending, my favourites with the Micro Gaming platforms are the all day one shots. No continues, no rebuys, and only $2 to play. I also like the Accumulators. If one gets off to a good start for your $1 investment, there are only a few continues available at $1 each. I pulled in over $450 on the June Accumulator. My luckiest to date.
