UKGC Announce More Changes

Recommended Posts

So, it's the news most of us knew was coming and I actually think a lot more is yet to come with a review of the Gambling Act.

A Package of Changes Has Been Announced by the UKGC in a Bid to Make Online Games Safer

Don't know if anyone managed to read this the other day did they?

Amongst other things is an ouright ban on autospin and a permanent ban on reversed withdrawals (a long time coming and much welcomed news IMHO). I don't play half as much as I used to as you're all aware of by now but if the no autospin rule had been enforced six years ago I would have been gutted! Used to rely on this feature so much back in the day.

Is anyone using this feature still or has it been banned in your country too?

Does removing the autospin feature makes it ANY SAFER for gamblers???

The way I see it, it only MAKES THINGS WORSE FOR PLAYERS! 😡

Thank god I'm not in the UK...or my middle finger would be pointing to the UKGC each and every time! 😜

This is the next tranche of changes: 100 quid deposit limits and only above that if you send them stuff that they are in no way, shape, or form qualified to review.

Curacao here we come - certainly a market being created for taking onboard UK players p""ssed off at this nonsense. NHS experts etc weighing in with their pompous ideals now. Suppose it's easier to take pot shots at casinos rather than deal with the more endemic issues of why folk find themselves in messes/drawn to G Addiction: poverty, the breakdown of the modern family unit etc.

I think these regulations are just taking it to an unnecessary level. Removing bonus buys was one thing, but it doesn't make any sense to remove autoplay. What I think will happen is that people are going to play at unlicensed casinos and the UKGC casinos will see huge losses in revenue which will probably mean more casinos shutting down.

True, there's certainly a market emerging for the more reputable Curacao (there are a few) casino's to take on UK Players (at best) or scam sites.

The UKGC though are in cuckoo land: there was a report by PWC who commented on this and the GC have flatly refuted this as a possibility (because it doesn't suit their narrative)

You just have to google '4 Crown' Casino to see the number of folk from the UK being done out of money (mainly Gamstopped players tho)

Sorry I seen your post on my phone and the other day and then forgot to reply. But yes - here is the official news on our site regarding this matter

Flutter Unveils £500 Monthly Spending Backstop for People Under 25

In regards  to Curacao, I think they have been the underdogs for some time now you know.
