Hello all! I am researching gambling licenses and the different jurisdictions. Now I am wondering what the specific advantages are for a gambler to choose a bookmaker with a legal license. Hopefully you guys can help me get on my way!

Well most sportsbook casinos have a UK license basically, as most bookmakers fall under the UK as per my observation.

Curacao and MGA mostly on casino games IMHO but there are many MGA casinos with Sports book

So What exactly are you looking for? Book makers with Great Odd's and fast withdrawals?

I'm looking for answers why online gamblers would choose for an legal bookmaker (with license). What are the benefits? And the pros & cons?

It's pretty obvious why sports bettors would choose licensed bookmakers...they are more reliable and trustworthy than unlicensed ones. Payments of their winnings are more assured, they feel more secured in the sense that these bookmakers would not cheat them for no reasons, but if any problems should be encountered, as it always does, they have the Licensing Authority to turn to for help, arbitration and so on. It's for the same reasons why gamblers would prefer licensed casinos over rogue ones.

Not only that, the convenience of making bets with online bookmakers is far greater than having to go to any high street bookmakers, especially in this pandemic situations when everyone are forced to be at home most of the time.

Would you choose to keep your money in the bank or in a guy's apartment, who is apparently a robber?

Would you play a game of cards with real money against a guy who tells you to play with your deck of cards or against a guy who magically appears a 5th!! Ace?

I mean the answer is obvious.

Ps. I don't trust banks.

You don't trust banks??? Does that mean you trust the guy in the apartment more??? 🤣

It is NOT the banks that cause problems...it is the DAMN BLARDY HACKERS who steal money from people!

well....between the bank and the guy in the apartment, i'd rather keep the mulla beside me. Well, it really depends the bank. Maybe banks in Sweden are normal but in my country they are worse than a loanshark!

Banks don't cause problems?🤣 - I must have missed their role in the financial crash and subsequent bailouts that came from the public purse 😜

There's been some clearing of houses over recent years; splitting of the commercial and investment functions which had led to various conflicts of interest and playing fast and loose. That and their history of mis-selling and the billions liabilities that came with that.

Some of the new challenger banks have had mixed success: Metro, Monzo etc.

That being said, they've been instrumental in some communities in helping smaller businesses

Peer to Peer lending still remains somewhat of a niche market - thought it would have taken on more by now tbh

What organisation doesn't ever get into any financial problem??? At one time or another, they will, as Murphy's Law has always said. In spite of that, your money in the bank is always guaranteed, not if it's with some guy in an apartment or in a high street shop. 😜

Any business venture faces risks, simply because the market environment is never stable.

I guess you are referring to the original poster CG99 mate?

Yes. Dude comes to an online casino forum that  deals with handling casino complaints and posts a topic like that.

Lets compare his title to other places we could use this.

Guy goes to restaurant....

What are the benefits of eating food at a hygenic restaurant.

Guys goes to hospital.....

What are the benefits of going to a hospital with valid doctors....

Go ahead guys.
