kayenne23
So the first time I met with gambling was when I was 13 years old. Back then we used to bet on football teams. Very innocent bets, lunch money bets. So couple of pupils used to gather around read the newspaper and determine what to bet. We always had one bigger brother who would take our bets to the bet shop, so he can place them. We never won. But the time that I was introduced to the slots and the real gambling to me, was when I was 17 in a cafe. First game ever saw and played was book of ra with the 9 lines. So many years later , I never thought that slots would become a hobby for me. So what about you ? cocopop3011
pinnit2015
Probably around 14: i used to play Snooker (still do - had a 147 break in 2003 - obviously unverified apart from 3 folk ) in various halls in Ireland and they had a room with slots. It was the old 5p Andy Capp/Road Hog AWP's: same as the place i used to go, right beside the beach, for the amusements as it was only 5 mins from my house. They had loads of machines. When the tourists came up during the summer it was payday - we'd sit drinking cokes, waiting for them to lose their money and once they'd gone, swoop in and claim all their coins - the joys of a compensated machine. Although, one time it didn't work out well for me as, not knowing the ones from Belfast had left, i went outside and got a good old fashioned kicking (to be fair, i'd have done the same) Used to be a big deal when i was 16 and starting working so could move from the 5p machines to the 20p Simpsons games: still remember the old traits there: if the name of the game kept on flashing, you didn't cash out - meant the game was paying out the jackpot; which was about 50 quid. pinnit2015
When i go home i still visit the places from there and take around 50 quid to play - i'm pretty sure the machines now are the same as 20 plus years ago: there's a game called Luxor that had a big chip out of the cancel button and, to this day, the chips still there: whole town has not changed which, weirdly, is quite a nice thing. My parents had a second home on a caravan park site where we would spend any free time we had. They had an arcade where I would go at every opportunity. From a young child my father done the lottery, the horses, football betting etc. However I didn't find online gambling until I was about 25/26. I started with online bingo, then discovered slots at Jackpot Joy Casino and the rest is history. Afi4wins
Fiekie247
Honestly, I only entered the Online Gambling Market in 2014, that is when I discovered online casinos and slots. I played poker prior to that for about 3 years since 2011 at Poker stars, when they started restricted my country, I played at a local poker joint, which also has some basic slots (Habanero) as the provider, and then I discovered Netent as my first online slots provider, starting with Creature from the black lagoon first, had a big x200 win and then suddenly losses. Casumo and Videoslots was one of the first casinos I joined at the time and others like Casino Room (Mainly because I could play in ZAR currency) 2015 I joined Askgamblers and got more knowledgeable regarding providers, slots and other information related to the iGaming industry up until today where I could say I am very clued up compare to the average standard newbie out there. and the Plus side, made a couple of friends along the way through askgamblers forum up untill now I end up working in the iGaming industry part time as well So that is my story. Afi4wins
My story? Hmm...a few of you have already read my story before, but here it is again... Basically, I was watching 'Mr Bean' show on tv way back during my student days, whereby he went to Brighton beach (UK), entered an amusement arcade, saw the coin-drop machine with a big pile of 2p coins at the edge waiting to drop off, so he made an accidental hard bump against machine, but not a single coin dropped down...the machine was solidly anchored to the floor! Hahaha. Well, there was a day when I was loitering around Leicester Square (London), entered an amusement arcade, and imitated Mr Bean's accidental bump...not a single coin dropped down either! Hahaha. But then I saw some slot machines and one-arm bandits...and that was the day I started playing slot machines! How long ago was that? Errr...how many of you still remember those 2p coin-drop machines? That's how long ago it was! cocopop3011

Hmmm...in those days, the slot-in size would only fit the size of a 2p (it was a big coin) or smaller coins...maybe those chocolate coins fit the size? cocopop3011

Oh...ok, I got it now...how silly of me to think that your kids would use chocolate chips to play the machine! No wonder kids love the machine...to get the toys and sweets! Maybe for adults, they should put erotic stuff instead?! cocopop3011
