Casino that doesn’t except uk players - accidentally deposited and played

Recommended Posts

What comeback do l have if l have been playing at an online casino that doesn’t accept uk players ? I use a vpn for security so l did not realise that the casino should have not allowed me to play as uk player . Now they are saying that they don’t have to honour the winning and withdrawal !!!! Surely in that case the deposits should not have been taken and should be refunded ? Also l deposited with bitcoin . mbitcasino . Please help !!!!

I would imagine if it's in their terms and conditions then you are between a rock and a hard place. One would think it's the casino's responsibility to ask this important question before allowing anybody to play but good luck with that.

Personally, I'm an American and live overseas but I have always made it a point to insure a casino I join online accepts this and also, I try to initiate an identity verification myself. This way if I hit a good win I don't have to jump through hoops to get my dough.

It doesn't hurt to ask but I'm sure the management will say something along the lines of, "It is your responsibility to read the terms and conditions" and no doubt there is verbiage in their stating you forfeit all your winnings in breach of said TOS.

For your sake, I hope I'm wrong but there is certainly a quick way to find out, read the TOS. Cheers and hope you have a reasonable conclusion to your situation.

Chances are next to zero; especially coupled with the fact you're using a VPN.

Even if not using a VPN, probably would be the same as they'll say 'its your responsibility to check if you're permitted to play here' - even if they should be geo-blocking.

IF, you had used a debit card and they refused to pay winnings, you'd have a case for chargeback from the bank for deposits. But even then banks are a bit cautious about approving such.

You're in the UK, with a huge casino selection (albeit Bitcoin ones are non existent with UKGC licences i think)...why them?

I agree that his chances are next to nothing which is a shame. With that said, I would think this happens quite a lot. This situation applies to US players but some casinos state in their TOS "persons residing in the United States". If I read that, then I will confirm with a customer service representative prior to signing up so I don't waste my time or theirs.

Many casinos do not allow US citizens period and I noticed this is the case with UK citizens but not as frequentI know this because i have asked and tend to careful read the boring TOS. Those include many of the bigger names out there. Betway, Unibet and Bitstarz just to name a few.

Hey there and welcome to AskGamblers Forum :)

Depends on whether they have listed UK as a restricted country within their terms or not. If Yes, then you should not hold much hope of getting back anything. If No, then you are entitled to get your winnings.

In your case (mbitcasino) I'm afraid you violated multiple terms and namely:

Quote

2.3 Users from the following countries (“Restricted Countries”) are not allowed to deposit and play real money games: United States of America and its territories, United Kingdom, Portugal, Slovakia, Spain, Israel, France and its overseas territories (Guadeloupe, Martinique, French Guiana, Réunion, Mayotte, French Polynesia, Wallis and Futuna, New Caledonia), Netherlands, Lithuania, Dutch West Indies and Curacao. The Casino cannot guarantee successful processing of withdrawals or refunds in the event that player breaches this Restricted Countries policy.

...

2.7 2.7 Using a proxy, VPN, or other artificial means of spoofing your location is prohibited.

therefore not entitled to get back anything unless the operator decides to show some goodwill and return your deposit.
