Self Excluded via Gamstop yet still allowed to deposit
pinnit2015 replied to jjmoo2019's topic in Casinos General
Key bit is where the fault lies. If, for example, the casino issued a query to Gamstop database and the response came back negative, it’s difficult to see how it’s the casinos fault. But the fact that you got promo material (a breach of their LCCP, would seem to suggest something’s gone awry at the casino point) The fact that your other accounts were blocked would possibly indicate it has If it is the casino then personally I think you’ve a better chance at recourse than going after GS. Prepare for a battle of both blaming one another though. -

The problem with GS is that, upon attempting to login, you're in breach of their terms and conditions - for that reason, you may find you're going to get nowhere with GS (I don't agree with it, just saying what it is - ridiculous: though i think it's there to act as a disclaimer for them) So your port of call would be the casino and pursue it via them - what you may find is that they claim 'we received a negative response back from GS, so we're not at fault' (though why you couldn't login and then could is a question to be answered) - hence you'll be stuck in no mans land with neither party. Remember that the role of a ADR, to my knowledge, doesn't include ruling whether a casinos self exclusion scheme is effective. Nor will the UKGC listen to individual complaints about SE (Odd, given they like to publicise the fines). So, it's kinda no-mans land for SE out there. If the issue is re GS then there is scope to get the UKGC involved. -
Which Casinos Have No or High Withdrawal Limits?
pinnit2015 replied to cocopop3011's topic in Ask Gamblers
As Fiekie says, MG are probably the strictest when it comes to this - IGT Jackpots, for example, i think are paid out annually? TBH I'm not sure who pays the amount out - I thought it was the software provider as well (presumably the money goes to an account administered by the software provider, like MG?) Localised Jackpots, Netent's Divine Fortune, are paid by the casino and hence may fall foul of monthly withdrawal limits -

I don't know....all good sites waive the limits when it comes to progressive jackpots (after all, it's not the casino's money so there are no cash flow arguments) I know that MG have specifically stated that the winner will receive theirs in one lump sum. Probably be a nice call from your bank to get...though i'm pretty sure they'll advise you not to take the entire amount into your current account? -
Slotjoint casino: is it is LEGIT AND SAFE

You'll find that most licensing codes refer to the relevant Advertising Standards Regulator: Eg the LCCP for the UK attached, as part of their licensing conditions In effect, they breach both the ASA and their own licence conditions in doing so. I get your point: most seasoned players won't even pay attention to it - certainly I don't. But that's kinda the purpose of an advertising regulator - to make sure that companies aren't misleading their consumers, regardless of how well the player knows the industry. My personal view is that, whilst it may seem insignificant to some, the least we can expect of any company is that they don;t lie/mislead. Plus, if their attitude was 'just stick on some fake winners' my next thought would be 'oh, ok, wonder what else they are so blase about?' -

Yeah, i think you could just rattle through the Trustly withdrawals - Some guy hit 60k and showed his account screen: you just seen 12 pending amounts of 5k and he said he got them all within a day or so.... There was that case years ago of the woman who won something like 4 million at Joyland casino - she'd a 9k a month limit = 39 years to pay...Playtech were also the villains though - they sat idly by and, basically, let the casino steal from the player ? (ended up she took half the money and you don't need a PHD to work out who took the other) -

TBH it's more than a case of being ethically correct or not - doing so (ie not reflective of real winners) would break most marketing/promo codes of practice; i imagine any advertising standard would regard it as misleading at best. Slotty Vegas and Betat were quite bad at that - IIRC Slotty got pulled up(not sure if fined) about it as they had the word 'Pinnit JUST scored a nifty win in xx' - even if it was a week ago. -
Player sends in supermarket loyalty card, not their passport - complains casino delay verification. Player rates as poor. Player loses. You know, gambling. Complains. Player rates as poor. Player breaches max bet, despite big giant pop up box. Complains. Player rates as poor. Player's are fickle things - look at Casumos Trust Pilot review. Yeah, they might be as tight as a ducks ar@@ with bonus's but they're not a sub 4/10 casino. Wheesht....

Had been playing that Tome of Madness (think that's the one ur referring to?) the odd time - like a mixture of Sweet Alchemy and (albeit, poor) Garga? Someone shared the PNG data sheets and apparently SA is a HV game ? - it's a guilty pleasure of mine (for Lord knows why), so i don't mind Tome ? Not played that one right enough.....

I first came across him on a another site? IIRC, a memorable rant, was him proceeding to tell people that him playing Starburst on your mobile when driving, was no different to changing the radio station? Then proceeded 89 pages of, well, BS. I don't think he was professionally trolling, just that he was so engrossed in his own wee world, oblivious to how he sounded that most of it, just came across as mental. He's still here - harmless enough, wouldn't be my cup of tea mind you.

In the spirit of even handedness, there are always two sides; remember that there are more fraudulent players than casinos. However, given the elusiveness of Videoslots in banning players for some vague reasons, it does happen, arbitrarily. Iv never had issues in that respect; just didn’t like their incompetence. -

Yeah, as Fiekie says, depending on the payment processor you may see a cap based upon the processor conditions - what I've seen happen is that people request withdrawals, say in 5k batches and as they're processed with 5 minutes there's may 20 of those going through in a day (thereby negating a cap if it's based on cost per transaction) - depends very much on 1. how quickly they process and 2. the PP terms. Amazes me to read how many highrollers play at places, win and then complain how poor the withdrawal limits are. I'd be VERY concerned if i was a HR and got told it's 20k a month - given the number of casino's disappearing you'd be sweating if you were going to see your money. -

Hit and miss for me re GiG. As Katemak said, their payments are usually quick - Rizk being the fastest IMO. However, I find a lot of their sites to be buggy and error laden - Highroller being the worse, Rizk a tad better but not much. Guts went downhill years ago - constantly asking for RE- verification for each withdrawals for a time and trying to get a straight answer from them was murder. Thrills and Betspin legged it from the UK market - not sure if other places. Rizk's approach to SOW requests is just wrong, so possibly prepare for a fight with them if requested: i found them quite obstinate when arguing that what they were doing was BS - maybe they've changed and actually read the legislation, I dunno. I never trust a place when they say 'per our regulations' but when asked to specify it, they can't (i usually read - we're talking *****) I still have an O/S issue with them that's never been resolved re registration with others in the group - in the entire company, no one knows what's happened so that doesn't fill me with confidence. Err...yeah, so....an OK-ish group, you'll be safe playing there but expect several hiccups if my experience is anything to go by. Personally, I don't care how fast their payments are if i'm going to have to deal with site errors and with withdrawal/verification fights. -
When you close an account you kick start the 5/6 year retention policy for a lot of information that relates to their legal obligations (AML/RG etc), or basically anything that they 'may' need or be asked to call upon. So, basically, anything that they aren't bound to hold by legal obligation or to show their licensing compliance, is erased upon closure. EG. Your KYC documentation is held for all those years; possibly transactions as well - they would relate to RG possibly. For example, I find it hard to believe they'd erase transactions so soon after closure as, should there be a ML concern, that'd be the first port of call. Should also have the chat transcripts if they relate to RG. Check the privacy policy of the casino - it will tell you in broad terms what they erase. Sadly, I don;t have access to a typical casino retention and disposal policy. Then contact the Data Protection Officer.
-
It should be in their privacy policy as to how they process the data and share it with. If it's not, and they're sharing with essentially unauthorised 3rd Parties, then they're in breach of their GDPR/the relevant Advertising Standards Body. It doesn't take much for a casino to geo target their mailing lists - 1. It's a wasted cost sending marketing material to restricted areas or 2. They're just lazy and blanket bomb their mailing lists. Certainly, in the UK at least, sending such mail such as the one above would possibly breach the CAP code. And the ASA do like to hand out fines for such.

Which Casinos Have No or High Withdrawal Limits?

Your big UK bookies don't tend to have: Will Hill/Bet365. Redbet/Winningroom either, Videoslots don't (though u need to contact them for >30k), Rizk, Playojo have none - big fan of Novibet and they don't let me down: none, Unibet - None Was gonna say LV Bet but they have a low amount of 5k per day (low, given some high rollers will be caught out). Trada are 10k per week - again, errr, Slotsmillion are 50k per month. Win >100k with Mr Green and may see instalments Hard to tell as w/d limits are regularly changing. Best for players to check a lot of white labels before playing as they will not have the financial clout of some of the big boys. -
Presumably, when AG and other sites review places they look at the cold facts, of what's on the tin: - Stated withdrawal times?, - Game selection? - Complaint responses/numbers/resolutions - Licensing? Dunno - everywhere's different. Player by player we all have different experiences - whilst there may be 'common' and reasonable player complaints (such as withdrawal times exceeding the terms - Hello, Slotsmillion), it'd be unfair i think for a site to base the sites rating purely or wholly on player ratings: eg. someone giving them a 2/10 cos a glitch in the system meant they'd to ask CS for the bonus to be credited. Just look at Trust Pilot - casinos given 2/10 cos someone lost. To be fair to AG - they do give you the average player rating so you can make your own mind up as to whether something seems amiss. One option would be to include player ratings in the official site rating but that would, i think, not be the best. Maybe review if there are a deluge of poor ratings? Site rating, player rating and comments and let the informed player determine which side he falls down on. One thing as well - many casinos start off well and then tail off. The rating given could be reflective of a point in time and as they've not going to playing every day, they'll rely on the information they receive from players via ratings or, more importantly, complaints to review that. Just surmising.

Pretty much depends on the deal they have with the casino. Could be they receive unlimited 500% offers, capped at 2k - plus EV bonus etc. Maybe a weekly limit to their withdrawals etc. None so good as Roshstein, you know, the famous streamer with 'incredible technique' Why anyone would want to watch that nonsense is beyond me.

Online casinos verifying system upon withdrawl needs to change
pinnit2015 replied to copyyy's topic in Casinos General
Because you're still allowing the transfer of money into a business, whereby those monies may originate from the proceeds of crime. It's why ML and RG are getting inter-tangled: they are, in many ways, different sides of the same coin. The withdrawal to the same method is only one aspect of it - they've still 'placed' the illegal cash. Don't know the stats for people convicted of online ML, but tbh i think it's probably low - after all, your starting point is the house edge of 4 odd %. Personally, i think it's overhyped - if i wanted to ML there are at least 4/5 options over and beyond online casino's that i'd pick. In terms of Eastern Europe - can't remember the source but over the last few years there was a reported upsurge in fraud originating from some of the baltic states. So obviously they have such places high on their risk assessment. -
Question about white hat gaming ltd
pinnit2015 replied to Randomusername87's topic in Casinos General
If they pick up on it, you'll not receive the winnings but will get your depo of 50 back. IF you signed up with the correct details - if you used different details to bypass the system, then nope - it's a breach of the t's and c's and you'll not even get the depo back. 'all reasonable steps to refuse service or to otherwise prevent an individual who has entered a self-exclusion agreement from participating in gambling' Also; - How can you 'accidentally' SE from one of their sites? - There's pop up's galore when you choose these options - Why are you using SE if you're annoyed with them? It's clearly outlined that SE is for those with RG issues. If I was you I'd be content to get my depo back. -
If it's the welcome bonus you're referring to it's 50x. Unless they give ad-hoc, wager free bonus's.

The next stage will be affordability assessments in line with those you go through when applying for a loan or a mortgage. If I was a gambling business, it’s the natural progression and arguably the only way to discharge your duties. Not for everyone but again, risk based. That will be difficult anyhow; you’d need to take recycled wins into account but I imagine it will come soon enough. The RG process is as varied as KYC is, or was. I have never had to supply Will Hill or Coral with pics of cards or utility bills, yet Some casinos want a DNA test. You will find it’s varied as the UKGC don’t really give casinos a A-Z or what their procedures should be but leave it up to them as to what they should put in place to meet it. AFAIK there’s no tick box approach. Plus, it’s based on their risk appetite: Casino A may look at things and go: 1. 10 million fine if we don’t do this right 2. 15 million costs and possible licence revocation if we implement super dooper controls and... they come to the conclusion it’s better to take their chances with number 1. I’m sure some have had that thinking. Casinos have far to go - half of them are that clueless they don’t even know what they’re asking for. I’d one asking me for docs and when I asked why they said AML regulations. Then they said RG.

In line with TAG - Bet Blocker looks a great piece of equipment. Given that Gamstop is riddled with get arounds, they should have gotten these guys to develop it. Might not need Gamstop given the amount of casinos shutting shop! (hopefully the UKGC refuses BETAT's appeal against their licence being stripped later - one more dud thrown to the flames) If not already done so, might want to convince your son to hand control of his finances over to you - it's not a solution I'd be particularly keen on but, as a fire blanket approach, it will help to douse the addiction flames during their infancy and at least convince him that gambling isn't really as enjoyable as we all think.
