  1. I would like to thank personally to the Thunderkick rep for trying to shed some inner light upon the slot's way of working! :good:

I have a few questions too, although considering their nature I could understand  if the answer is "that is enough questions for now lads". :)

And so, my questions is actually only one. but it contains lots of smaller ones. How RNG and slot's TRTP affects player after all? I mean we all know what these two acronyms stands for, we know what they mean in reality and that they are used when building casino games, but none of us knows how exactly... Let's take Birds On a Wire as an example. The game's advertised TRTP is 97.2%, but what does it mean in reality? Is this TRTP being applied on an individual basis or upon the playing rounds coming from all players, playing in all casinos, offering this particular game? Over how many rounds is this TRTP expected to reach 97.2%? 1 million spins, 10 millions, 100 millions?

Ahem "that is enough questions for now lads"!

No, just kidding. Funny how you ask 5 questions in 1! Birds On A Wire has a Theoretical Return To Player (TRTP) of 97.2% which means that over time, if you were to add all the bets for all the players into one big bet stack and all the winnings for all those players into one big win stack and then you measure their height, the height of the win stack would be 97.2% of the height of the bet stack. Hopefully that clears it up.

Now it is enough questions for a while :) *puh, this was hard work; especially for a Saturday*

  2. Please note that we at Thunderkick are trying hard to be available to the players and help them as well as learning about what makes you tick. Our primary focus however is making games so please understand if we decline from answering or if we say that "that is enough questions for now lads".

  3. Ok, here goes:

    1. When playing at a casino it seams when your hot, your hot, and when your cold, your cold. Fore example if you are winning it does not matter what game you play and vice versa. As the above user stated are the games IP/account based? Does it really matter what game you play or is the outcome already decided when you make the deposit?

No, it doesn't matter. Any licensed casino (like those under LGA) and provider must adhere to strict rules regarding how the slot is constructed. No single player may be favored by the game unless the game rules stipulates how and why such favoritism exists. No Thunderkick game to date has any such rules.

    2. If we assume slots are totally random. Are bonus rounds pre determined?

You mean the amount won in them? If so, then no. The structure of the reels creates a probability table which together with the pay table and pay lines creates the variance. We have never heard of any slot that uses pre-determined bonus game outcomes unless if they have fixed wins and even in those there is usually player choice that affect the final outcome. So again, no.

    3. Does previous play affect future play? Seams everytime someone cashed out big all games go dead across all casinos.

The human mind plays tricks on us all.

    4. If its random does it work like a lottery ticket? Are we just drawing a prize when hitting spin. And do wins cycle, as in if someone wins the jackpot it will be unavalible until certain cominations are made?

It is completely random. It is the combination of the structure of the reels, the features, the pay table and the number of pay lines that creates what can be considered the slot's mathematical profile and which lays the foundation for the game. On that, the developer puts graphics and sounds to make the game feel and look nice. So it is quite a bit more complicated than a lottery ticket. And wins do not not cycle.

    5. Does slots cycle? I have heard somewhere before the RNG is prepped with a seed number and if someone know this number they can predict the outcome of the slot. That would imply its not random in the true sence but that it has a pattern to it thats pseudorandom. We know that NetEnt uses a pseudo random number generator.

The RNG is pseudo-random (as we don't have quantum computers yet) but it has a huge cycle (longer than the lifetime of the known universe) so in practice it doesn't cycle. The RNG must be certified by a third party entity approved by the licencing authority.

I find it hard to belive slots are just a RNG.. Might be random who wins or not but its pretty obvious form clear patterns in allot of games that it is programmed in one way or another to give out certian winning/losing streaks. And why no win after a big win? Why always stone cold. If it was random it should be anything in between aswell.

Believe it! You never had two big wins after each other? Since big wins are rare, multiple big wins in short succession is extremely rare. Humans are good at pattern finding (even when there are no patterns to find), but not very good at understanding statistics.

In conclusion, it is advisable to play only at accredited casinos that operate under a license (LGA, Alderney, AAMS etc).

  4. So since there is a slot developer here on the forum now do you mind if i ask some questions on how slots work? Thunderkick?

It really depends on the question. We do have extensive knowledge about how slots work (both our own and those of other providers) but you must understand that the inner workings of slot machines are industry secrets; some of which are protected by patents, non-disclosure-agreements and just good taste. Also, we feel that in order to enjoy a slot you must keep some of the mystery intact because otherwise you will just start seeing numbers and algorithms and not truly appreciate the slots for what they really are: a source for entertainment.

So feel free to ask but don't judge us to harshly if decline to answer. Cheers from Thunderkick!

  5. I cannot belive why someone would play these slots? I have tried a couple of them and i gotta say its some of the worst i have seen. Dead spins and very little wins.

    :(

In our defense, our RTP is no worse (in fact, it is often better) than the competition. Still, we are learning everyday about what you the player's want and try to make even better slots. Hopefully, we will make at least one that you will enjoy. Many players find our slots to be quite enjoyable so we just need to find that special one for you!

  6. Thunderkick is proud to announce the imminent release of our newest game: Flux!

The game is rich with visual effects and the feature set is not to bad either: Stacked wilds on all reels, three bonus games with both ways, additional rows and more.

  7. I don't think Thunderkick games are 3D??

If by 3D you mean you must have a 3D capable screen and/or glasses to see the effect then no. If you mean that it has 3D rendered graphics (as in "all" PC/Console games) then YES! Look at the boxes in Magicious, the fruits in Fruit Warp, the skeletons in Esqueleto. It is all in glorious real-time rendered 3D :). Some vendors use pre-rendered movies to simulate 3D (for instance, most BetSoft games use this technique as well as Gonzo's Quest and Jack an the Beanstalk from NetEnt). We don't use movies such as those but render everything on your computer, as you play. Sorry for the technical rant. Thunderkick out!

  8. Are we talking 3D slots as in pre-rendered 3D (like in some BetSoft games), 3D as in real-time 3D (normal PC and console games) or TRUE 3D which requires with 3D glasses etc?

If the second category count (real-time 3D) then ALL Thunderkick games are up for contention here right? ;) Even Barber Shop is rendered in real time 3D (projected into 2D). Birds On A Wire, Fruit Warp and Turning Totems are perhaps more obviously rendered with this technique.

    Any takers? :D

  9. Perhaps you should try playing Birds on a Wire, Fruit Warp and Sunny Scoops at Maria...see if you can notice any difference or get better results.

The LGA license prevents us from having more than 1 (one) configuration for the math for a given game when targeting real money gambling. Thus, whether or not you do better or worse at a certain casino is just variance (or luck ;)). All LGA license holders operate in the same manner. It is the law of the land.

  10. First of all Hello and a warm welcome to the AskGamblers forum. :)

Yes, you can use posts and screenshots posted here, but make sure your readers will know where all these come from. ;)

As for your games...well, don't know where to start from. Maybe from the fact that I have made over 25 000 spins playing Birds On A Wire in the last ten days! At the beginning I thought I just like this game, then I start to love it, now...now I'm totally obsessed by this slot game! Unfortunately, obsession and luck are two completely different aspects of gambling and for now I'm over 400 euros behind, but sincerely hope my luck will change for the better soon.

Great. Thank you for your information and even more thanks for your kind words about Birds. We are glad people can see the fun side of electrocution :) We at Thunderkick would love for you to post (perhaps in its own thread, it deserves one right?) some nice wins in that game. Keep chasing that 20x wood ***** win!

  11. Seems like the next very interesting game in your portfolio! :good:

However, I noticed it's written 96% RTP in the game's help file?! Strange providing the fact that most of your previous game are advertised with a 97% RTP... Maybe this one id going to be a low variance one? :unknw:

I guess it depends on how you define low variance. The base game is low variance for sure given the 14 pay lines and the pay table structure but as can be seen from the posts in this thread, the bonus game is anything but low variance (e.g 220 x bet on the second least paying flavor (Blueberry Bite) was achieved by a player only today). 96% may be our lowest RTP to date but it is still very much respectable.

  12. We have released our second game of this month called Sunny Scoops®. It is an ice cream themed video slot mixing the old with the new. With one bonus game for each flavor we think there is something for every ice cream lover out there.

A Vera&John player had a very nice bonus game. He was nice enough to tell us about it and to allow us to share a replay of his win. For your enjoyment, we link to it below:
    Golden Honey Ultra Win.

PS. The replay may take a while to load so please be patient.

  13. Okay so I am really trying to like Fruit Warp but it's just not for me. I done what you said and nothing, was literally winning pennies. Maybe this game just isn't for me.

However I love the other Thunderkick games. Still no huge wins but I'm sure I will get some decent wins soon!

Thanks for introducing me to the games Afi!

Glad you at least found the other ones to your liking. Whenever a player is lost to us, our hearts break a little bit. You must have been extremely unlucky not getting at least one good run in Fruit Warp but variance can be a b***h.
