Only taking free spins, playing with a blindfold, noiseless headphones or even getting a monkey to click start is just putting tapering over the cracks dude.

You might do it for a while and then the whole ‘oh I felt it playing well in those 25 FS’ will lead to deposit, which will lead to chase.

Sounds ok in theory but it would require the mental strength of Alan Turing to maintain it. Plus, it’s still keeping slots in your head; freebies or otherwise.

it's a little risky and it did lead to the 3rd relapse (costing -39.51e) when the FS paid rubbish (0.93e) but at same time not accepting it would be like finding free money and not picking it up and there is a tiny chance I could win a progressive jackpot with those FS. Also would be nice to get a trained monkey to do the spins for me, maybe will look into setting up an automouse clicker for that purpose cause the skinner box of clicking a button and getting a random reward is still messing with the brain just as they did with pigeons and rats even if the reels are covered the spin wins could be showing or could cover that too and only let myself see how many spins are remaining.

It should be probably be easier to fight the urge to slot in the coming year:

 - More HV releases that you need 500x bankroll's to play, or play at rubbish-y low stakes

 - Surely not more megaway releases, enough already

 - More SOW etc from MGA casinos's and all that nonsense

 - Aspire Global buying over every on their knees casino.

 - Every release from PNG

 - Most releases from MG

 

On the plus side, Relax gaming are coming away with some decent releases.

Well mate, if you gonna get serious with quitting slots for good, then make sure it's all-in, I mean no free spins, no free slots cash, nada... That's the only effective way to say NO, all the rest is just a mere compromise which we all know would soon end up as a failure. Just saying...

Can't say no to free slots spins/cash (reasons its free money and also there's slim chance of progressive jackpot) but at the same time I implemented very strict rules in how to go about using them (no sound/no screen viewieng/no winbox), and also no landbased slots, no slot livestreams/no slot videos. With these strict measures give myself a strong chance. Slots will attempt to try lure me back to the plantation via slot dreams as I have already experienced on day #3 and day #7.

To each their own, if this is a way that helps you with not playing (or rather depositing) then good. What puts me off a bit is to read about the covered screens etc. If you really don't want to play but want to use your no deposit bonuses, I'd rather ask a friend to do that. I'd probably just give my logins to my best friend and ask them to play out the spins and if they're wager free cash out a win if there was one. Just be careful in whichever way you proceed.

Not having played slots (except for FS) I however went and played almost a 100 hands of video poker today (Jacks or Better), but made the mistake of not checking the pay table before playing. when I ended the session I then realised something was wrong and sure enough the pay table was the 8/5 and not the 9/6 version. Thus I had been playing on a 97.3% RTP and not the   99.54%.

Difference is that the full house pays only 8 for 1 and flush 5 for 1 .. vs the 9 for 1 and 6 for 1 on the 9/6 table. So they ripped me off on the pay table, and short paid me on that 1 full house and 3 flushes that I hit during the session. Was my mistake tho, should have checked the pay table before playing. Not worth playing the 8/5 version. Finished 1 unit up (was playing 1.25e units), and that was the peak of the session, while the low point was -19u (-23.75e) at hand #54. On the very last hand I get trips and chose to double it one time and the RNG gave me an easy double when it presented a 3 and I chose the Q. Without that double would have ended the session -2.50e (97.89%) but with the double ended it with +1.25e (101.02%).

If I had been paid the 9/6 table then would have been +2.50e (without the double incl.) RTP 102.1%, and +6.25e (with the double incl.) RTP 105.1%.

see how the expected outcomes are so close. (the values in the brackets show what you would expect in the number of hands that had been played, only flush and trips were higher than expected.
