Deciphering Degenerate CR wins

And thanks for clearing the mist with these mysterious CR big winners, appreciate that!  

Pretty sure Casino Rewards are cooking up some great stuff for Christmas, so our forum is at your disposal to make all these viper MG fans even happier.

MG slot tourneys were removed around June 2018, also prior to removal of slot tourneys they removed blackjack tourneys. Some people were doing very well with the slot tourneys re-buys continues etc they ran well. Slot tourneys were the reason why I signed up to so many CR casinos.

As I understand it, there were some bugs in the tourneys that meant players were able to take cash money without doing anything, and there was a huge syndicate of players exploiting the bug.  I don't the tourneys were profitable enough for MGS to fix the bug so they just canned them. Sad that a group of people can ruin it for everyone else

That's news to me.  wonder how much in total this group made and for how long they were getting away with it. and I may have played in tourneys that included such players and if they interfered with my outcomes or if they got paid in addition to the top 10 etc payouts.. There were tourneys where you wouldn't need to score any points to still get a placing such as double or nothing tourneys but they didnt have much of a prizepool to be worth doing.

It wasn't that they could rig games like that, it was something to do with being able to take cash from a bonus without actually participating. I don't remember the exact details, but something like buy in with bonus money, then cancel and the money got credited back to their account as cash or something like that. So anything they did would not have affected gameplay of any other players. It was in and out. No game participation at all.

I always thought you couldn't use bonus money for tourneys. Some message would pop up saying thing about it.  But if I had a bonus any amount above the bonus would be able to be used for tourneys (such as those all day one shots) and once you dip into the bonus you couldn't. So if you were able to register then you could get a win in the tourney. Then in theory before the prize was paid you would bust out the bonus and then the cash prize would be paid without any more wagering to do.

Yeah like I said, I don't remember the exact details about how they did it, but the bug allowed them to use their bonus when as you mention, you shouldn't be able to, and not participate in the game at all.
