Hey there and welcome to AskGamblers Forum. :) 

According to USA latest gambling regulations referring to online gambling and advertising, New York is still out of the list of states allowing you to transfer funds to online casinos.

Unless he plays with BTC?  Casino Extreme, Casino Brango might be an option ? I think only RTG would be available!

However, @Kkizzer49 - The Land Based casinos in NY would accept you gladly and if you lose an insane amount, they will even throw in a bed and breakfast for free (because you will earn VIP status since you lost).

Thanks guys, I have found a few that I can play at online. But I'm sure they are not trustworthy. I have also played at alot of casinos in the area. Was just looking for an alternative to play at home.
