Amrendra Kumar
As father I need to give some space to my son for his mistake. And, as a businessman I can also understand duckdice admin decision. But , you know sir in this internet world many bad things not just gambling become more easier to reach in children hands I am not just talking about my son but many. I read article written by UK government survey that about 25% teen Below 18 are addicted to Gambling and and 80% Below age 18 had one time in life had done gambling in online website. And I know it's very hard to fought with it and stop it but, I want to suggest one thing that there should be one law in "international gambling federation" which can verified every People age and then give certified to that people to be a legal for gambling. And the people who tried to register on any gambling website should provide that certificate during registration on New gambling website which is given by that federation. So, the private details of user are not spread to many companies but to be secured in centralized authority that will give assurance to gambling company that who ever registered here are legal . As my son did mistake I really don't want anyone else son to get in trouble like this again. What do you guys think there should be a International Gambling & Casinos Federation who handles all KYC of players and give them certificate so, then after that they are allowed to go registered casino. I will going to save million of kids around world. I don't want anymore kids. You know Today internet make things easier for kids to reach to bad things. We need to do something about this. cocopop3011
Hi, I've moved your post to a better location. Underage gambling will always be an issue and I do have an unpopular opinion here but I think a certain responsibility lies with the parents too. I have a 14 year old and I'd like to think I'm on the ball enough to know if she was gambling. I keep track of her money and I'd certainly know if she had used one of my cars. However, even after all this some can still slip through and I think it's a massive issued for the UK government to tackle and if we actually do leave the EU who knows our gambling laws could change entirely. pinnit2015
For starters, I'd be very skeptical about any gambling stats quoted by some of the media - papers like the Guardian, and even the BBC, seem content to pursue a tilted agenda of Big Government. In todays era we have all devolved, bereft of any ability to think for ourselves and thus requiring the firm hand of our Uberlords. 25% of under 18's are addicted to gambling? Really? If it says that I pay little attention to it unless I understand the criteria and underlying assumptions/veracity of the information. Some International Federation (sounds a little Star Wars), I don't see doing anything. I don't think such a thing would a. work practically in todays era but, more importantly, I simply don't agree with it. You're correct in the sense that some jurisdictions have stronger underage gambling controls than others. The UK, though flawed, has a decent KYC structure in place without adding another needless bureaucracy. It really would serve no purpose IMHO. Some places would let a dog register an account. Dodgy casinos will let anyone play - period, IF or no IF. In a similar vein, I watch something last year whereby the parents of a kid who was something like 19 stone at 13, state that it was great news that the Sugar Tax was coming in as they blamed company's for their child being clinically obese. Really? At 13, like gambling, where do they get the cash? Transpired that it was parents feeding him ***** all day, every day Rising alcoholism? Don't look at the social structures that are failing - just set minimum pricing etc. That's where we are in society now - finger pointing. As for leaving the EU - given that our MP's can't even put together something that they've know was happening for two years, I think any changes to our Gambling Legislation are likely to occur in 2075 at this rate (AML will apply regardless as it is. Same for GDPR etc) ValDes
