Country restriction dilemma

hello to all so my dilema is simple and already asked two casinos and they cant answer. As some may know I am from Greece, lived there registered from there and everything was ok. of course many casinos dont allow greece. so here comes the dilema. Now I live in the UK and will continue so for at least a year. if a casino ask me about documents i only have the greek ones and a UK proof of adress. so to which restrictions am I in. Place of nationality or current place of living

Probably wrong but casinos restrict countries, not the nationalities of those within them, so i don't see any issues with you joining UK accepting casinos. The fact that you can show that you're resident in the UK should be enough - you just might find the odd issue with what they accept as an identity document but in all likelihood they'll have seen before etc.

I also think you should be fine as long as you dont currently reside in restricted country. 

Just to be safe and to avoid any confusion, before you start playing you should ask for casinos you play at to complete your verification first.

Well, actually most operators restrict both  the IPs and players with passport/ID from countries listed as restricted within the relevant terms and conditions. Strongly encourage you to discuss the matter with any online casino you intend to join and play at prior registering and depositing. yeah i guess its different when you register from allowed but travel to restricted country

 

i know places like vs wont let you play if you are currently in restricted country, but as soon as you move to non-restricted place you are good to go.

 

i also think it could be tricky if you try to register while in one of allowed countries, but dont have any ID/residence in that country because casinos ask for those documents when you try to cashout and if you provide different adress things could go south quickly

 

thats why i also said its better to check with customer support before you start depositing  better safe than sorry eh

So if a casino has Angola as restricted, I'm from there, and then move to the UK for work for 2 years I still would be restricted? Never knew that - thought it was the local. Take Guts for example:

 

5.1.4 You are a resident in a jurisdiction which allows gambling; - 

5.1.5 You are not a resident in a Restricted Jurisdiction;

Surely if you move to the UK you're resident there and therefore 5.1.5 wouldn't apply as you're no longer in Angola for example?I know, tax wise, you can be resident in two places for example but that's Tax...5.1.4/5 actually look like they're saying the same thing.

none in particular, but most casinos only require you to currently reside in non restricted place, thats it. Its in their T&C afterall

 

all im saying, regardless of their T&C they should check with live chat first because if they do ask for your proof of residence you might not actually have one and all kinds of problems could arise from it.

so my update. in most casinos I ve already created an account with my greek details. Many groups have more than one casino. so the ones that have me already verified want me to change my address everywhere, neteller, bank etc and then verify me again. the ones that banned me as a greek player due to jurisdiction issues still keep me banned and dont accept me even if I live in another country now my account was closed permenantly and if I try to open another it can be considered as a duplicate with whatever comes with it.

thats kinda messed up. They closed your account because you were resident of restricted country. Now that changed but they wont reopen it?
