Ideal amount of spins on slots for big/mega win chance.

Recommended Posts

Hi all, hope all good.

Wanted to ask people's experience on what's the ideal amount of spins to do on a slot.

I play incremental betting too

Eg if I deposit £50 I'll bet 0.10p for 250 spins (£25 worth of spins) if balance not in profit I'll do 20p spins for another 125 spins (£25 worth of spins).

Win or lose I stop once done £50 worth of bets.

With higher variance slots like berryburst max or the new JATB clone pumpkin jack or DOA how many total spins would be ideal to give myself a chance to hit a big/mega win would one say.

I'm thinking of depositing £150-£200 in December to utilise the Christmas offers from casinos.

Thanks all and keep up the good work all.

Hard to tell... depends on the variance of the game for me. Randomness says you could win on the first spin I suppose.

I like to give most games 500 spins to get a feel for them. Dead or alive I’ll probably do 1000 spins on average when i deposit. Some, like PNG games, usually 150 and then I’m out if it doesn’t play well. But as a rule I like 500 to least give it a chance.

That's true I've had a few first few spins big hit like on steam tower.

Soon as I'm in profit whether it's balance from £50>£75 or £50>£52 I stop and cash it all out.

I was thinking of instead of playing say £50 a month maybe build that up to £200 and play every four months to do enough spins to give myself a chance for a megawin.

I play a lot of demo mode every day for fun and testing but I'm not sure if demo is playing like real money so that's why input of ask gamblers personal experience appreciated.

Should be but possibly not - there was a provider/casino, can't remember who had differing versions of the same game across real and demo.

To be honest i wouldn't cash out those amounts personally. I deposit anywhere from 100-200 for a session. I play it through once (as you do): if i am at say 300 from a 100 then i take out the 100. Leaving 200 i usually play it at higher stakes. I normally bust out but it's therefore free entertainment. If that 200 goes to 300 then it's the profit i cash out again - this time half and again, play the rest.

I've had some good cash outs in the past from lower deposits but to be honest that may be psychological - you always remember those - i've probably had 0 more often as lower amounts means you really need to hit the sweet spot in a shorter period of time.

At the end of the day it matters little - just gamble what you afford and if your lucks in, it's in. I just had a 4 quid bonus on Bonanza - some days that's 2k plus, this time it was 500 quid. I'll now just take out 400 and play Dead or Alive...with any luck i'll make another one but i doubt it.

Simply put, Kingraj, there is no telling when a big or mega win is going to happen...so how many spins on a game you need to do is totally irrelevant!

Those big wins usually take many thousands of spins to come, and would require many more thousands of spins before the next one can come.

However, since Artificial Intelligence has now become an integral component of gaming servers, what was 'usual' before has now become haphazard. Take my Supe It Up game for example. A Mega Win would usually come after at least 30, up to about 200 Free Spins games (about 50,000 spins), but nowadays, those Mega Wins have occurred up to 5 times within a month of daily playing. After that wins, the game goes into hibernation!

One more difference, as far as I can see with my games...it is now almost impossible to get 1000x or higher Mega Wins...those Mega Wins would be broken up into a few 500x - 800x wins...hence the multiple Mega Wins within 1 week or 1 month!

Those are for high variance games...god knows how low variance games would play and pay nowadays!  :p

Yeah especially with Push gaming, you cant rigger bonus on Jammin Jars or Fat Rabbit on the first spin and hit x1000 + easily...

So it can take 1 - 5 spins for Mega wins or 1000 or more spins, or 5000 spins and no Mega win.

Just went 1200 in Immortal Romance and nothing. Nada. So, spins meet nothing ;-)

I know MG are probably releasing some of the biggest dross on the market but seemingly it’s spilling over to some of the best decent slots they have.

Honestly, if that was the first slot I ever played I wouldn’t be back. Dead. Dead. Dead. Seriously man? Dead. Dead. Oh 25p win. Dead.Dead.

Thanks for feed back always appreciate.

Afi4win what you said makes sense since I once read in past online how number of free spins has a effect.

Someone did real money testing over a year or two.

Eg DOA 1/151 free spins average pays 1000+

JATB 1/90 free spins pays 1000+

Im curious about this hibernation mode, if a slot has payed out above its RTP a huge amount in one month, is it programmed to collect the money back the next month to bring it back to its RTP?

A year ago, there wasn't any AI to influence the payouts of games...definitely not of late. I would say ALL providers have got the blardy AI in their game servers by now, so whatever stats of yesteryears are no longer valid now.

RTP works like water...it finds its own level...if you know what I mean.  :p

If the water level in a dam is down, it would eventually go up to its 'normal' level again, wouldn't it?

If a game RTP is, say, at 70% after a big payout, it would find a way to go back to its assigned 96%, wouldn't it?

The question is...how long would it actually take to get back to normalcy again?

Your guess is as good as mine.

Yeah I agree and to be honest I think if there was a definite answer to your question kingraj casinos would be out of business :p  I don't have time like I used to to play the odd hour here and there when kids are in bed and I'm finding more and more that new games have to impress me right from the get go otherwise I'll just go to the games I know and love. So for me, there's no ideal amount.

If you had a suitcase full of cash would you really blow it on slots in the first place?

Aaaah...when I had extra cash, I spent it playing my fav games...so if I have a suitcase full of them, I certainly would use some for big bets playing...just for the sheer thrill and adrenaline rush of it!

But I'm not a fool...so most of the cash would be put to good use, hehehe.  8)
