tjabbe Posted September 27, 2018 Posted September 27, 2018 Were playing around at metal casino wich i believed were a MGA casino. When playing a certain slot I came across this This NYX Gaming game is operated by Secure Trade N.V., a company incorporated in Curacao. See terms and conditions for further information. What does it mean? are winnings on these slots not taxfree for EU-citizens`? Quote
ValDes Posted September 27, 2018 Posted September 27, 2018 Hello there and welcome to AskGamblers. As far as I can see the aforementioned brand is part of MT SecureTrade Limited group of casinos and as such is duly licensed by both UKGC and MGA. tjabbe Posted September 27, 2018 Author Posted September 27, 2018 Hi. Yes i´ve read that they have license both in malta, uk but why in curacao and why is that game under curacao license? Concerned about tax when playing certain games. Quote
ValDes Posted September 27, 2018 Posted September 27, 2018 Well, may I ask what is the 'tax' you are referring to? As far as I'm in aware gambling online is tax-free across most of the world. Quote
tjabbe Posted September 27, 2018 Author Posted September 27, 2018 If a casino is registered outside the EU im obligated to pay tax on the winning amount. Living in sweden. Quote
ValDes Posted September 28, 2018 Posted September 28, 2018 Ouch! Hope some of our Swedish forum members would soon jump in and share personal experience on the matter. Quote
pinnit2015 Posted September 28, 2018 Posted September 28, 2018 Iv actually asked this before. The casino can be licenced UK but the ‘games’ running licenced from that banana republic licence - question is therefore what assurances can you have if the UK licenced casino is hosting games from a non UK licenced software server? From a game fairness point of view, what’s the point of having a strong licensing regime in terms of th casino, if the softwares not? Just generally curious. Quote
ValDes Posted September 29, 2018 Posted September 29, 2018 Must see the exact place where the disputed screenshot has been taken from. Could be referring to some promotional game like a tournament for example... https://prnt.sc/l058zg Quote
cocopop3011 Posted October 3, 2018 Posted October 3, 2018 If a casino is registered outside the EU im obligated to pay tax on the winning amount. Living in sweden. So you'd have to declare your winnings by law? Quote
