About Mega Moolah

Recommended Posts

Lastnight I decided to have a few spins on Mega Moolah since

the jackpots were at high amounts, the mega at over 7.9m

and the major at a healthy 69k.. but those few spins turned into a marathon 1641 spin session.

And over the several hours the slot gave only a 75.36% RTP.

How many free spins features? 7

occured on spins 386, 463, 619, 848, 1206, 1220, 1329

all of them triggered by 3 scatters and paying average of 27.87xBet. (no retriggers)

23.76xBet, 24.24xBet, 19.56xBet, 36.6xBet, 58.52xBet, 8.64xBet, 23.76xBet

Highest base game hit was 20.8xBet

only 1 time did 4OAK elephants appear on a payline, same for buffalos.

one rare spin was 30AK wilds and a 4th wild was on Reel 4 but in middle instead of bottom of it.

Best 5OAK was gazelles. As you would expect there were some near misses for getting 50AK zebras or giraffes but

the symbols were one off usually on 4th reel.

when it comes to elephants or buffalos missing the 4th reel was most common or if it was there it would be in

a wrong position.

I've played this slot since about 2007 and I have never had 5oaK elephants or 5oak buffalos

or 4oak lions! or 5oak lions or 5 scatters. also never had 5oak scatters on any of the other moolah slots!

RTP at end of each feature.

70.86%

76.59%

82.51%

78.97%

80.74%

81.17%

81.38%

final RTP 75.36% since it went on a 312 spin drought.

afterwards went to bed and had slot related dreamzzzz including seeing a long queue of slot zombie addicts....

checked the slot now and the mega is at over 8million and major is at over 89K...

any askgamblers members having a go at it?

anyone here won the major progressive?

Mega Moolah jackpot is the biggest attraction where MG games are concerned...but my country has since been restricted from playing any jackpot games...not even NetEnt's Divine Fortune or Cosmic Fortune...sheeesh!

I would certainly give it some tries if I could...  :p

The base game has to have a low RTP due to the fact that the bulk is in the Jackpot. That's why they're best played for the odd deposit - you're never going to have that many a good session on it if just looking for 'normal profit'

Personally, i hate the game. It's a scratchcard but best treated as how you'd play the lottery.

I would say you have just experienced some pretty typical behaviour from Microgaming's most jackpot notorious game Mega Moolah...

With an average TRTP of approximately 94% and multi-million-jackpot attached you could expect extremely long and dry sessions during base game, that's why you'd better give Mega Moolah a try with either a/ hefty starting balance and some low bet or b/ try a bunch of spins on a bigger bet and hope for the jackpot game to trigger.

Good luck! :good:

Never had the major, boy would everyone know if I had. The other hald had the minor some years ago now won £9.95 :p  But it is one of my favourite jackpot games but extremely versatile for me. Surprised to hear you had no retriggers though since in my experience the game is quite notorious for giving those so I guess you just played it on a bad day :D

Before jackpot games became restricted for me, I had won that Mega Moolah jackpot twice, both times winning the $100 prize. I did better on Cosmic Fortune though, winning $500 once and $100 two or three times. Now it's all just sweet memories for me.  ^_^

took a break from it for a week then today went play Mega Moolah again (bad idea), for a 100 spins still plays horribly, RTP 67.16%, no features.

then went to Mega Moolah 5 Reel Drive for a 100 spins, also horrible RTP 62.73%, no features.

then thought I'd give Hound Hotel a chance, not too bad but included a dissapointing Wild Reels feature, overall RTP of 97.58% in 205 spins. (2 features: Super Stacked Wilds, 2x multiplier, 13 free spins 38.8xBet & Wild Reels, 1x multiplier, 10 free spins 9.2xBet) and no sign of dashing wild features which normally occur around 50 or less spins they were AWOL.

then gave Halloweenies some spins (425) but that was shocking, RTP 55.99% (5 times pumpkin bonus and 1 free spins feature 35.85xBet)

and at this point instead of going to Blackjack to give myself a decent chance to recoup the losses like I have done many times, I instead went to VP Jacks or Better to have my first video poker session this year and it decided to batter me. Without a doubt the most dangerous game of all is video poker (unless you are one of those blessed lucky players that get royals like they going out of style). 1867 hands and RTP of just 87.23%, Had quads 3 times during this session (1 in 622 hands but should occur about 1 in 423). Note that quads only pays 25xBet yet it normally occurs around 1 in 423 hands. Straight Flush pays only 50xBet yet normally occurs around 1 in 9148 hands), RF occurs about 1 in 40,391 hands but pays only 800xBet. That will be my first and last video poker session for this year. Video Poker Jacks or Better is a balance destroying rip off grind. Stay away from it. The game should be banned in my opinion. Such bad odds. Even though Jacks or Better is supposed to have a RTP of 99.54% , if you don't get that RF which can go for over 40K hands, some have even gone over 100K hands or more or years and years. I am talking about the 1 line versions.

Anyway was looking to play in the upcoming slot tourneys to get some wins but I just found out that MG are decommissioning all the multi player tournaments. Well that screwed up my plan to get some profit through those tourneys. Was going to have a go in the next 1K, 2K and 3K survivors... thanks MG for ruining that plan.

Yeah...been on the cards for a while though. I loved/love the MG ones. Might need to have a 2 minute silence once Viper hangs up it's boots in the near future, as well.

On a related-ish note: BTG will be releasing their games on the QuickFire platform i think, so Bonanza can be coming to a Bingo site near you

Another little session on Mega Moolah, 149 spins, no free spin feature but got the jackpot bonus wheel and it was only a MINI paying 10EUR. My previous two Mega Moolah Jackpots were both MINORs and before those minors I had only MINIs over the years. This Jackpot Wheel took 2095 spins to trigger and previous wheel took 5593 spins! Interestingly last year where I had the wheel twice one of them in end of June (MINI) and the other in early July (MINOR) and that happened this year too (was sort of expecting it) with mid June (MINOR), early July (MINI).

Why I have the odd feeling we'll see the Microgaming Progressive Jackpot reaching the 20,000,000 mark for the first time ever...  8)

Someone fancy a bet? :p

Aaah...I would love to bet $20 with you Guru-san that MM's jackpot would not go above 18 million...but...I can't afford to make that bet...no more funds left for gambling I'm afraid.  :p

Haha, let me assure you it's the same here with my monthly gambling budget. But it doesn't stop me from being 99.99% convinced about the MG Progressive Jackpot mark.. :p

Been playing it on 25ps. Bring back the Progressive The Dark Knight MG had.

Did manage a 200x in normal play. Unless you win the jackpot it’s a joyless experience. Think I fell asleep and woke up with a creaked neck.

I’m guessing the winner will come from a Scandinavian esque casino, didn’t know what was happening and deposited 10 Euro.

And they had their winnings capped at 50 euro because they took a bonus :-p

Only ever really play MM at 25p unless I'm feeling flush. But I've had the progressive on both games back in the day but The Dark Knight - oh boy that was one heck of a game back then.

Valdes will remember how much love I had for this game with endless screenshots. I'll never ever forget the moment the jackpot feature triggered. Picked the joker and I have never been so close to winning the big one. Me and Mr cocopop just watched in silence as we thought it had stopped on the big jackpot until the wheel turned one more click awarding the lowest. But I don't think my heart has ever beaten so fast

They were good old days, right?

Had 4 Jackpot Wheels today after a week of none - Lord that's painful.

Quite a few 150 x surprises which still puts ahead of Netents (if anyones not seen their latest, Wild Bazarr, don't bother - they're still losing the plot if someone green lighted that).

Was fixing up the back room so had one laptop with MM and one with proper slots - times like that we need the 100000 autospins to be allowed

Another few jackpot features last night. Minors and Minis. Actually ended up 50 quid up. Few games make me go ‘oh no, it’s free spins hurry up and end’

Wish MG would shift to another game, even bumping up the base (without jackpot) rtps and accumulating a jackpot at a slower pace. Once the jackpots gone so I am - had enough Moolah to do me a lifetime

Lucky Mega Moolah winner sets new World Record slot win!

It's been a long time coming and the excitement has been building, but we can confirm that the Mega Moolah progressive jackpot has been won and not only that, but the lucky Grand Mondial Casino player has won the prize of €18,910,668.01, which is now the new Guinness World Record for the largest ever progressive jackpot prize won on an online slot game.

It was in Euro's so definitely not the UK (we're still in sensitive negotiations as to retaining our place at Eurovision)

Hope it reads something like 'After losing my wife, house and family dog to gambling I'm not particularly ecstatic, just glad it's paid me back what i put into it - my RTP is now 100% even with the win'

But it's probably going to me something like 'my first spin, whilst on the toilet seeing what was on Netflix later, after free spins and plus I didn't even know what the spin button did'
