Opinions please: Playing After a Closed Account

Hi there

A little while back i banned myself from one of the casinos here as i felt i had a gambling problem.  Since that time i went into chat with one of their sister casinos and explained this situation.  They adviced that its ok i can still open an account with them and if i withdrawal it will be honoured.  In your opinion should i trust this information?

Really appreciate your opinions on this matter.

Thanks very much.

Personally I'd say no you shouldn't trust it but it might depend on the brand. Can you disclose where you're playing or would you rather keep it secret.

Thing is - this is one of the most common issues we have here at the casino. Members self-excluding then playing at a sister site and can't withdraw because of it. And especially if you've told them you have a gambling problem I'd be very cautious and I think you might be taking a big risk.

So, did you self-exclude or did they close the other account?

Why would you even consider this? And do you still have a gambling issue?

Will depend on licence. Some MT Sites operate independently but I noticed one that is applying another’s SE.

I wouldn’t go by what live chat tells you.

What will happen is money will be lost, person claims didn’t fulfill SE and etc.

Suella, please listen up.

When it comes to withdrawals, not the Casino Manager, nor any of the Live Chat hosts, can ever have any influence on what the Finance Dept would decide! If the Finance Manager sees that you have banned yourself at a sister casino, most likely he/she would decline your withdrawal straight away! Not only that, the casino would also confiscate all your winnings, and probably just return your deposit, if you're lucky enough!

If you've banned or self-excluded yourself from any one group of casinos, don't ever return to play there! Find another casino that doesn't know your previous record.  :p

Better still, why take the risk to start gambling all over again? This may bring you even more bigger problems soon enough!  :(

Hey there,

What you have described in your post sounds as a sure recipe for a disaster at a later stage, so strongly encourage you to reconsider your intentions to (re)open your self-excluded account and stick to your limitations.

If a casino knowingly lets you open another account with the purpose of circumventing current responsible gaming restrictions set on your account then it means they don't give a heck about any responsible gaming policies at all and you are in a trouble. Run as fast as you can...

If you use different personal information upon registering new account in a casino where your account is already set under some responsible gaming restrictions with the purpose of circumventing these limitations then you are again a trouble, simply because your winnings will most probably be never paid and moreover, the casino could have a valid case against you if you dispute deposit refunds for example. Again, run as fast as you can...

If you don't care about advice, that's okay, just make sure to spend 30 minutes reading across the AskGamblers Casino Complaints Section here and you'll find confirmation of my words across dozens and dozens of complaints cases.

Good luck! :good:

When a player requested a self-exclusion, the company or the representative of it should inform you that creating or re-opening your account shouldn't be possible. I am stunned that they said otherwise. Sometimes live chat agents do not have fully knowledge about certain subjects and I find that very unprofessional of them. It could be because they do not fully understand the question. I know this because I've experienced it a couple of times. I asked about something and they replied with an answer that didn't make any sense, it did finally came through when I explained it step by step.

Quit gambling could be not an easy thing to do but if you have the will to do it, I strongly believe you will succeed.

Where i have sympathy is where some casinos take closing an account as SE - when i told a casino i just wanted mine shut down they tried putting it through as SE. Attempting to explain what i wanted to chat support was like eating rocks. So...in the past some may have a SE when it was an a/c closure ie. no gambling issues.

Baffled that a lot of this is still an issue in 2018. Made more so that all SE go (i think) to the UKGC but...the UKGC basically say they don't deal with it leaving players with...er...
