Cryptocurrencies Crashed!

Recommended Posts

Not many people would be aware of the latest hot news, except for cryptocurrency users, be it Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, or any other. What's the latest news? Cryptocurrencies had a bad crash last week, falling by over 30% of their values. Bitcoin. for example, lost about 33%.

Casinos that accept cryptocurrencies for deposits would surely have felt a great pinch from the crash, simply because it would mean a great sudden drop in their earnings, which can be very serious, to say the least! Red Pingwin Casino has stopped accepting Bitcoin for deposits, and I applaud this move by the casino! Better stop the losses now than face an even greater one in the near future!

Well, I have never been a believer of any cryptocurrency, especially Bitcoin, all for very personal reasons of course, but I pity any AG members who may have suffered from the crash. Users have lost their shirts, so to speak, some have even lost their shirts and pants, so will they lose even more? Well, if you ask me, if they go on believing in this money-on-air thing, they will, in due time!

The CEO and founder of Litecoin cryptocurrency, recently dumped ALL of his shares in Litecoin, giving a huge portion of his shares to charitable organisations, with one very good advice..."don't keep the coins...exchange them for real cash ASAP!!!"

Now..what does that tell you???!!! To me, it simply means more bad things are on the way! So get out before it is too late!!!

Let's face it bitcoin was never going to be the future and I'm pretty sure lots of us had agreed on that early on, yes?

I don't know much about cryptocurrency, it's not that big here in the UK in fact I bet I could go round a room of people here and not one of them could actually explain what it is.

It really doesn't surprise me to read what you've written. However, I guess the people who have invested in Bitcoin and I know we have some of our members here have some pretty big decisions to make.

Well, I'm really surprised that not many British people are interested in these crypto-whatever! But I'm really glad if that's true! ^_^

In my own country, I'm actually disgusted looking at all the hyped promotions on Bitcoin recently...luring more Malaysians to invest in that...errr...coin thing. I don't know how many have fallen for it, but I'm not surprised if lots of them have!  :(

As for AG members who got caught in the crash, I hope that their previous profits are enough to buffer the recent drop.  :(

I don't actually know if the real 'hype' of bitcoin has hit the UK I just know that it's not spoke about very often here in Wales and you don't see it mentioned anywhere. I think I've once heard it on the news where a house was up for sale in bitcoins but that is the only ever time I've heard of it here. Guess we'll see what the future holds hey?

Well, all I can say is that Wales is a lucky country!  ^_^

Bitcoins future will depend on whether it will be regulated. Right now it's just a commodity and until I can walk into Tesco's and the local shop and pay with it, that's all it'll be. It needs to be exchanged for cash to buy (most) things and until that changes then, well...

However, I couldn't write it off just yet and bartering always changes throughout time.

Bitcoin, as the leading cryptocurrency, could be easily described IMHO as a mega high variance slot, call it the '' Dead Or Alive of the cryptocurrencies'' if you wish. :D It could easily 'eat you alive' and fall back to its $200 levels OR drop some insane multiple wild line win and meet next Christmas at level between $100-150K... :p

But there's something far more important when we talk about cryptos... With or without Bitcoin and its 'derivatives', no one has ever questioned the bright future of the blockchain technology and it's gonna succeed no matter what and regardless the ferocious struggle which all defenders of the old and deeply rotten status quo like banks, financial regulators and common market players. Guaranteed! ;)

Peace, bro!  :drinks:

Well, like I have said much earlier on in another thread, I do believe cryptocurrencies are 'destined' to succeed...just as the internet and the smartphones have succeeded...simply because the general public are already 'locked into the system'...and there's no way for them to 'unlock' themselves.

Can any smartphone users bravely say now that they can do without smartphones? Naaah! No way!  :p

Also true but I really don't think you can compare the two  :p

Basically going back to what Pinnit says - until I can use bitcoin in a shop I won't be interested and even then I don't think it would spark my interest when my conventional currency which is even contactless to use now is so much easier to calculate  :p  :p

Well, whatever it is, you, Pinnit and me, we shall remain the rare few that won't be using Bitcoin.  ;)

To be honest I can't be bothered with the effort of it all - blockchains, mining...I withdrew from Sky Vegas and it was back in my card within 20 minutes. Which i will then use to buy a Sono's speaker later. If it had been a bitcoin win would I have the cash in my hand to buy said speaker in the next 20 minutes? Doubtful.

*****, I can't even be bothered with apple pay

Such a luddite.  ^_^

Bitcoin has been among us for quite some time but I couldn't get use to it. I think it's still an odd currency and in my mind, it never been officially announced as an official currency. I always thought it has an unstable value that could drastically changed for the better or for the worse in a coin flip. This currency is literally a big gamble.

Not with Apple's worrying trend of security issues I think it's better to opt for the card in my hand

Not comparing, just saying that any new developments need to improve my experience :p

I've lost 3 covers already for my apple watch - reckon it's been each time i take off my jumper it has vanished by getting caught- literally lost 2 in 3 days

I have to be honest I much prefer not having to reach for my card, I'm always losing them or leaving them at a self checkout so for me ApplePay is great however I don't always use it just when I feel the need really, especially at a McDonalds drive thru  :p

Ahh..I don't have a cover for mine my mother does and she said hers is a nightmare so I didn't get one.

Refuse to use the MacDonalds Drive thru after my Burger King nightmare one day - I'm petirifed of wasps and bees:

Upon approaching the service hatch during a nice summer day i noticed things with wings around the flower boxes at the hatch - who things putting plants there is a good idea. The lass had the bag on her hand but I was too scared of the wasps/bees that were all round to put my window down and take it. So she was like 'what's he doing' whilst i'm shouting 'I cannae put the window down' whilst waving my hands trying to point at the flying demons.

Ended up having to drive out and run in and get it

I certainly do not like wasp burgers...not bees bumps on my body...  :p

On a related note my Dad had a pancake wasp lunch once....was making one for him and one for me...little did he know the wasp had flown into one...wrapped it up and bite....stung in mouth - twas like a horror film!

Had to take to hospital incase his mouth swelled up.

Rolling end credits - the wasp thankfully didn't make it to a sequel and I was left praising lady luck that i picked the right pancake  :D

Wondering what's next....  :clapping:

Well...we all like to get diverted once in while right?

Like secretly glancing at that gorgeous lady when your partner isn't looking...  :p

Do you think that BTC will surpass $30 000 in the first months of 2018? What about the whole year of 2018?

We could do a poll / guess how fast it will go to $30 000.

My guess: 1st June 2018

Sounds as an interesting idea, so feel free to start the relevant new forum topic. ;)

Let me know in case you need help with setting the poll.
