I I played slots with my tournament winnings and won a large amount of money…….   THE HUGE BUT..... that may cost me my winnings….

The thing that I wonder about is the money that I bought into the tournament with. It was from the excess left over of a no deposit bonus with max cash out R500. Your balance is automatically adjusted when you reach the playthrough but I noticed too late and my balance went below the R500 minimum withdrawable amount. Naturally I went to find a game that might pay quickly to recoup the R40 I needed and got R390 from the Triggered Feature on a R1.50 spin! The irony is not lost on me! The excess money is withdrawable and they do not automatically remove it when you go for a Payout/Withdrawal. I didn't know what else to do with it but to play tournaments on Saturday, which it turns out, I happened to win. When I logged into my account today the withdrawable tournament winnings was just sitting there in my casino account. Since I couldn't make deposits with a withdrawal pending I just carried on playing slots with the winnings which paid out today ......

Then I happened to get a 777 and I won quite a big jackpot!

I just wanted to know what the rules say about withdrawals under those circumstances because the terms & conditions for RTG CASINOS don't really cover that.

This rule regards to "promotions" is the only one relevant:

"Any free money given without requiring a deposit, e.g. a No-Deposit Coupon, loyalty bonus, VIP bonus, vanity card, manager deposit, competition/tournament prizes, compensation bonus, inconvenience bonus, birthday bonus etc. (unless otherwise stated) will have a maximum cash out of 5x the bonus given e.g. R50 given; max cash out = R250 (Random Jackpots are also included). This rule is also valid when a customer's balance is positive at the time of redeeming the non-deposit bonus. After redeeming the bonus, the rule will only be annulled after the customer's balance has reached R0 again."

Which my account did reach on Saturday.

This rule regards to "tournament T&C's" is the only relevant one:

" Casino Bonus Terms & Conditions apply to the Slot Tournament Buy-Ins. If you use the playable balance originated from a no-deposit bonus to enter a tournament, the maximum payout of 5 times the bonus will be applied to any tournament winnings."

I won R565 from the tournament and then I played slots with it because you can't make a deposit while you have a withdrawal pending and I really wanted to play the game that eat all my money from the weekend and I got a 777 which essentially wins you the jackpot, without ever going below R400. I happened really quickly. Now I have R20 000 sitting in my casino account that I really need from having been on a bad losing streak but I have no idea which way it will go. Me or them?

PLEASE GIVE ME SOME GUIDANCE/ ASSISTANCE/ ADVICE/ INFORMATION BECAUSE I FEEL LIKE A DEER TRAPPED IN THE HEADLIGHTS! the non-deposit bonus. A

Hello Delilah, and welcome to Askgamblers forum.

From what I can gather from all that you have said, things don't really look good for you, I'm afraid! Why? Because in each case, your winnings have already been pre-limited to a certain amount, because the money used came from a previous Bonus money and not from a new deposit money. That really sucks!

The initial no-deposit bonus winnings has a withdrawal cap of R500...so, whatever you win from other games, including tournaments are already capped by this amount! If this R500 has been withdrawn and your balance went down to zero, everything gets reset back to zero.

However, you had use the excess win from that previous bonus money to play tournaments and made more wins, which you then play slots and again made another huge Jackpot win. Oh geees...what a luck you are having there! Hahaha.

However, as you can see from the stipulated Terms, even Jackpot wins are included into the clause, meaning, your maximum allowable win has been capped at just 5x the Bonus money amount, or R250!

Nonetheless, I am not sure of whatever else 'complications' may have arisen out of your different plays, so the maximum allowable withdrawable amount looks pretty uncertain here...perhaps it may just be that R250...maybe not...but I really doubt that.

I think it would be best for you to write in to the casino for advice, via email...and enquiring on what the maximum withdrawal amount would be. If upon withdrawing, the other balance still remains in your account, then you can carry on and play more games with it. However, if all the other balance would become null and void, then you should play off the 'unwithdrawable' balance first before you make that withdrawal claim - so that you don't waste the other balance for nothing. At least you can substantially increase your VIP points and whatnots.  ;)

Thank you for the welcome and taking the time to reply, even if it's just to tell me what I already know. If I wasn't feeling so sorry for myself then I would be laughing along with you!

I spent the day doing my best to play it back while I figure out what to do because as you say, points and whatnot. I did eventually request a withdrawal of R8000 in total spread across 3 different payout methods and now I can only hope for the best. In the end they will void the payout based on a reason and the fact of the matter is that TECHNICALLY the Max Cashout term was voided when I zeroed my account after playing the tournaments and there is no written rule about what you can or cannot do with tournament winnings that come from bonus money. They also leave room for debate on the topic because they don't remove excess bonus money after you make the Max allowed withdrawal so what are you expected to do, other than try to win more money with it? They only set a cap on how much you can win in a tournament bought into with bonus money but say nothing of how much you are able to withdraw. They also don't have a written rule about further gambling wins from tournament winnings so maybe they won't have technical grounds to void my winnings. Either way it’s a Hail Mary on my part and what gives me hope, feeble as it may be! Thanks for managing that degree of hope for me because come Friday when the withdrawals are processed, you may have just spared me a crushing disappointment! HAHAHAHA

Seriously though, I'm hoping the fact that I didn't try to cash it all out immediately will swing the vote my way. Yeah I know ….. Another Hail Mary! Well whatever, what's done is done. Come Friday we'll know if it's possible or not and I will share the details for all future fools who dare to dream with Max Cashout bonus money!

Well, yes, it would be very interesting to see how and what the casino would do next about your withdrawals. There are too many loose ends in their T&C, perhaps done on purpose to give them the edge, who knows.

Anyway, hope you'll get all of your withdrawal amount...no matter how unlikely it may seem now...hehehe.

777? Ah the Cassava outfit....avoid. Better Group's out there, use them!

As afi said, there's not much in all likelihood you can do. Terms and conditions will rule all. I personally do not play at any casinos that cap winnings at x5/x10 etc, even if it's freebies.

For the future look out for sticky bonuses as well - those that, even when you redeposit, the wagering carries forward. Used to be caught out myself a few times.

Though unlikely to work I would email them and see if any goodwill on their side (though given the Group's previous reputation that's unlikely) - best chance tho!
